Free parking was available even though you were in the heart of the historic district. The hotel had beautiful ornate woodwork and decorations consistent with the Wild West and gold rush period. There was a cute restaurant and a couple bars located on site. There was also a small casino with machines on site. The rooms/bathrooms have been updated and have a nice ventilation and room darkening shades as well as a small refrigerator. The hotel offers a historic ghost tour which is informative and exciting. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly.

We were told we had a small room so it would have been nice to have a second luggage rack since there was no place to put our second suitcase (limited floor space).

I'd been looking to check out Deadwood and the surrounding areas for a while. It was the perfect staging area to see a lot of different places in a short amount of time. I was able to see Mount Rushmore, The Devil's Tower, Sturgis all within a couple of days. There was a parking garage right across the street which was very handy. It's definitely dated which is kind of what you want when you are staying in an old timey location like Deadwood. I got what I expected and quite enjoyed it. Very centrally located on Main Street with easy access to every direction you'd want to go.

I'm honestly having a hard time coming up with something I didn't enjoy about the hotel. The 2nd night I could hear a baby crying in the room across the hall, but that is no fault of the hotel. Babies will cry. It happens. Would highly recommend staying here.

Cool, historic building, accomodating and friendly staff. We ultimately were able to get a great room overlooking the street. The restaurant on site served an excellent breakfast. The late season snowstorm shut down the town.

We were caught in a snowstorm in Deadwood. The initial queen room we were assigned was small and dark; however, it was no problem to upgrade to the Bullock suite, a wonderful room overlooking Main Street, with a jetted tub you could swim in and cool decorations and historical furniture. Very romantic for the couple of days we were trapped! We have no complaints overall. This period hotel, so don't expect a modern feel.

Loved the location and the staff. If was also very clean and well maintained. I experienced no spooky stuff even though I was expecting it.

The beds were slightly uncomfortable. I didn’t sleep great but I’m picky. It’s nearly impossible to have a refrigerator in every room in a historic hotel but I didn’t think about that. Just remember you’ll be paying to eat out every meal and leftovers won’t be an option. Free breakfast also isn’t a thing.

Really handy as on the main street to grab a coffee..sit on bench outside and watch the town wake up. Staff were super helpful and family run....excellent shower. Would recommend if you like character.

Only had a double bed available for our first 3 nights even though space in room for a bigger one. I'm 5.10 and other half 6.2 so a bit squashed but not hotel's fault.

Everyone that worked there were so courteous and helpful. It's a convenient location for everything Deadwood. The entire Hotel was excellent with the exception of the squeaky door to our bathroom. The cost was excellent too.

The restaurant appeared to be understaffed, but several other restaurants on the main street have the same issue of staffing.

We absolutely loved the hotel! The staff was very friendly and even got to share some of the ghost stories with us. Everyone was very accommodating and pleasant. The hotel in general was so beautiful and I really loved that we could feel the history in the building.

The hotel was downtown Deadwood and centrally located to other attractions. The staff was awesome and very helpful for getting around. The restaurant on site was good as well.

The parking for the hotel is in the parking lot behind the hotel but is not clarified when booking when booking

The staff was friendly and helpful! The room was clean and the bed, although small, was comfortable. Breakfast and lunch on site. Great location. Parking included.

The only thing to improve would be maybe queen size beds instead of full. But the bed was comfortable.

It's been a bucket list item to stay at this hotel and it was amazing to get to do just that. The room was fantastic, comfy bed, great shower, awesome people. Even though there's a bar and casino literally one floor down, you'd never know. Everyone was very kind and helpful. We already plan to stay here again, and hopefully after they finish updating the restaurant. Cant wait to see it!
