The rooms were modern and sparkling clean! There was everything that I needed for a short, 2-night stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the large desk and chair. The TV was almost too large for the space, but enjoyable while lying in the bed.

The continental breakfast was lacking. When I arrived at 6:30 am, there were three cellophane-wrapped Hostess danish, and some Hostess cupcakes and twinkies, some apples and oranges, and yogurt in the small fridge. No milk, but there was OJ. The coffee was scalding hot, as I spilled some of my arm and 3 days later my forearm is still pink. The coffee tasted awful. Having said all of this, I do NOT evaluate a stay by the breakfast offerings. The microwave in my room was also inoperable, but I did not need it anyway. (I just like to set the correct clock time on it.)

The Super 8 in Charlottesville is a beautiful hotel that is very clean, very well managed and has gorgeous rooms with beautiful furniture. The housekeeping staff does an outstanding job with ensuring the rooms are cleaned to the highest cleanliness standards and the front desk staff is very customer service oriented. I had an excellent stay at this hotel in Room 317 and I am looking forward to staying at this top notch hotel again in the near future.

Awesome location it’s near fast foods, chinese, western or Mexican. Near gas stations, just awesome. Check in is seamless. Rooms are clean with free breakfast, wifi, fridge, microwave, tv , hair dryer and even coffee maker. Area is safe. You couldn’t ask for more, in my honest opinion, this stay is far better than any other 3-4 star hotel and the best super 8 I’ve stayed so far. Everything is sparkling new. See photos.

Very clean and new building

the room was super clean and it was easy check in/check out! the beds were super comfortable! i enjoyed how inexpensive this hotel was beginning how the other hotels were a $100 or so more expensive for the exact same thing! i definitely will stay here again if I’m ever in the area!

we had a housekeep wake us up at about 8 in the morning by knocking on our door, it felt very odd as to the hotel seemed to be a bunch of us who went out to a concert the night before and didn’t get to the hotel till 12 am or later, check out wasn’t until 11 so I was pretty upset to be woken up at 8 am. I also think a thicker blind or curtains would be nice as to our room had so much sun coming through the window in the morning. overall a very great hotel!

Room was very nice and clean when we arrived. we had a mini fridge which was able to hold all our cold items and a microwave plus coffee maker. Wi-Fi was great shower water was great stayed got the whole time I was in it and I like to take long showers my water at home don’t even stay that hot. had plenty of toilet paper, bath towels, rags. Everything was perfect and staff was extremely nice. I don’t know how this hotel looked before the new owners but I know know it is way worth the money I would usually pay $250 a night for something like this and also a plus it is right in middle of town so great location you are near absolutely everything! Also wanna add after reading past reviews I did not see one single roach/bug

wasn’t anything not to like

This was one of the cleanest hotels I have ever stayed at. I chose Super 8 because of the good reviews, but mainly because it fit my value budget. This hotel was cleaner than Hiltons I have stayed at and more comfortable as well. The location was fairly quiet but also very close to everything in Charlottesville. As a female traveling on vacation with my adolescent daughter, I felt safe the entire time I was in the hotel. The staff were attentive also. All in all, one of the best experiences I’ve had at a hotel in awhile. If you’re not needing a pool or all the extra “amenities”, but just looking for a quiet, clean, comfortable room, Super 8 is for you. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I can list is the tub drained water and wouldn’t hold the water for a bath, so you could only do a shower. That’s really being nit picky though!

The FALL season & collage football games can make lodgings hard to come by. I came back from Texas to clean up after a family relocation & needed a close by & affordable room. I can come & go easily from this location to work or find a place to eat. The morning breakfast bar in the lobby is a nice touch. The coffee is the way I like! I highly recommend this WYNDHAM location!

Beds were very clean and comfortable. The staff was great and very friendly. Prompt about handling an uncomfortable situation.

The area seemed to be less than desirable. Neighbors across the hall were yelling at each other and there was a string smell of Marijuana in the hall. They were kicked out of facility for smoking in the hotel, etc. If you smoke weed, whatever, I don't care but when it permeates the halls and into nearby rooms that's a no for me. The smell was horrible in our room half the night.

The room and bathroom were very clean! The beds were comfortable, and the pillows were great, too. Breakfast in the morning was simple, but there was a good variety of things to chose from. We were super impressed with everything! Also, the Mexican restaurant right across the street from the hotel is great!

The location was a little sketchy, but we didn’t feel like the property itself was unsafe.

Location convenient if visiting student at UVa. Clean room, comfortable bed. Less expensive than nearby competition. overall a good value if visiting Charlottesville for a weekend.

Breakfast was minimal (snack bars, coffee, yogurt), but was still better than nothing at all.
