Great location near King Street

Nothing is included – not even the bottles of water in the room! I felt like I was nickel and dime-d. $2.50 for water, $10 for breakfast, $37 for parking, etc. The public should know that the price they’re paying for this room is not their end price.

I loved the room, very clean and comfortable. Location was excellent! And the staff was very friendly! Shakisha was just the sweetest. She helped us over the phone before we arrived, checked us in, checked us out, she was so friendly and answered all of our questions. We had a wonderful experience.

It would be nice if the pet fee was a bit cheaper, and or if it could simply be a deposit fee held for damages. I understand the concept, and not everyone's dog is small and docile, but if the fees were a bit cheaper for pets, we would definitely be staying there more.

I love the stuff at the front desk name Georgette.She was so sweet when we checked in.It was a slight problem with our room not being serviced before we arrived and Georgette took care of that situation while we went to Walmart to pick up a few things.When we arrived back to the Marriott from Walmart Georgette accommodated us with dinner for two while we stayed at the Marriott on behalf of the hotel.We never got around to the dinner for me and my wife because we was enjoying Virginia.My wife and I really thought that was nice of her to even offer us that because of the situation with our room.Georgette overall was amazing and helpful to our needs at the time of our stay.Also not to mention Georgette helped get the bed I asked the front desk for to be delivered to my room at the Marriott.I will be looking for forward to seeing her at the front desk with that welcome back smile on her face in November. . .

Parking was horrible experience. Hotel needs to get control of parking. Independent operator uses an app for payment. App depends on license reader to know what you are doing. We signed up for app, registered vehicle etc. Everything that was required, still would not open gate to let us out. No attendant on duty. Phone call took forever and then got third degree interrogation. Will not stay there again until hotel has control of parking.

The Location of the hotel was perfect and not too far from the Chartway arena. Our room was located on the end (corner unit ) and the size of the room was decent loved that !! Hotel staff were amazing, and the valet crew were awesome as well !

The lounge chair in my room was very filthy, and the parking deck was a bit of a walk from the hotel,my husband and I paid for valet instead due to the walk to and from the parking deck

The staff was awesome!! There was also a free snack hour which was nice and we didn't know about initially. They also had live singing which was great. The room was nice, very clean and the bed was super comfortable. I told the staff, I will definitely be back. It was also centrally located to several activities at Waterside. There was a parking garage nearby which only cost $16 overnight if you chose not to use valet.

Customer service at the front desk was poor. We stayed at this hotel last year and the service was impeccable. This year unfortunately not so much. We didn't feel welcomed, more like we were a nuisance. Also, we were informed that valet parking for $35 is our "only" option. However, the associate at the valet station then informed us that we could choose between valet parking or the parking garage which was $20 cheaper.

The dinner was a amazing a side from the dessert though that was just cause I wasn't as in to chocolate as I thought. While in my room I was able to get on my YouTube on the provided TV super fast.

The door to my wasn't aligned right making have to put some real effort into actually closing it completely. Oh and booking.com did confuse me about the location of the hotel cause did even know it was downtown til I found my confirmation.

Location was convenient to port since we were going on a cruise. Staff was very helpful when we were delayed leaving port. They helped us get everything and everyone to the port which was 5 people and luggage. Beautiful hotel with live music and on site hotel.

Parking was madness but expected

Right on the river, downtown, not a high rise. Restaurant and bar were very good and reasonably priced. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I’d asked for no housekeeping service but they cleaned one day. The walls were very thin; heard too much from the connecting room next door.
