The hotel is easy to get to by the airport bus number 86, come out of the airport and the bus is to your left cost is about $3. Get off at the bridge ( long Bien bridge / Churong Duong bridge )stop and walk in the direction the bus is going for about 5 to 10 mins. If you get to the opera house stop you have gone to far . The manager Lily is excellent, will organise trips out and transport to the airport for the early morning flights with a packed breakfast, Lyly made us tea while we waited for our room to be cleaned , as we were 5 hours early..and allowed us to use the room early. Staff are excellent, from opening doors to making sure your breakfast is cooked to order just how you like it👍 The beds are soft and rooms clean, I had a great nights sleep every night with tasty breakfast and a hot shower. Breakfast is a mix of English..(bacon & eggs). Fruits , salads , yogurt, coffee , tea, breads ,and local Vietnamese dishes. The Hotel is on the edge of the old town, a few minutes walk to the centre. Excellent location 👍 The rooms are cleaned everyday , topped up with bottled water and coffee ☕ If you are going to Hanoi I would recommend this Hotel. Great price , fantastic location & Amazing staff. What more could you ask for ?

The hotel is conveniently located in Old Quarters (but in a less congested area), so scheduling bus-pickups for tours was easy. The breakfast was nice; the fruits were always freshly purchased. The staff were very friendly and helped me on many occasions from itinerary planning, to helping me choose my outfits. The receptionists speak English well. Overall, I felt very welcomed. They also helped me store my luggage in-between trips so that I only needed to carry the essentials with me.

It's a smaller hotel in a good location, so it can be difficult to rebook a room since it is easy for them to reach capacity.

My sister and I booked this property for its location and its value. The staff made our stay pleasant; they were very courteous, attentive, and super helpful esp the afternoon desk Vins and Anh in the morning. The Breakfast spread was great considering its value. We actually took our breakfast here, unlike the previous hotel we stayed in Hanoi, and paid even more money, and we actually skipped breakfast there and ate outside.

Our room was quite small for 2 people ; difficult to even spread our luggages on the floor , and we were quite surpised that the shower and toilet have no division; so when you take a shower, the entire washroom is super wet, and we are not accustomed to such arrangement. The room was meant for 1 person accommodation in my opinion; but we managed for 3 nights stay .

location was very central to all of our activities so getting around was very easy. The bed was comfortable. The staff was exceptional with giving information on the area and recommendations for activities. They were also lifesaving as we had around a 6 hour wait in Hanoi 5 days after our stay and they let us keep our bag in the lobby for however long we needed. They even gave us access to an empty room to use the toilet.

The only caveat was the room was quite small and you could hear the street (it didn’t affect sleep) but I’m nit picking as it was very good value for money.

The location is really good. It is close to the old city center, but at the same time situated in a quiet street which is a rare combination in Hanoi. The room was good and kept clean everyone from the staff was friendly. We really liked the breakfast. You could order from their menu, plus you had a buffet as well with seleciton of fruits and Vietnamese food and coffee which we loved since we wanted to taste mainly that. However, for those who like to stay loyal to international cuisine, there is plenty of option for them as well. For me, I fell in love with their pancake which I can certainly recommend. I definitely recommend this place. If I ever come back to Hanoi, I would return here for sure :)

The only thing that could be better was the service at the reception. Everyone was super nice, however, we could use some advice about a couple practical things (for ex. trip suggestions, Hanoi tips, where to find ATM, post office,...). We were asking couple of times and got nothing, probably because of the language barrier. However, I do not consider this a too bug issue and we really liked our stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at Golden Legend! The location is perfect for anyone wanting to be close to everything in the old quarter but not in the crazy-busy/loud backpacking and tourist zone. We had a city view balcony and had wonderful sleeps thanks to the double sliding doors. The rooms were very clean and the bed was great. Being in such a hectic city, we felt fortunate to have such a comfortable place to return home to. We also looked forward to the breakfast every morning - those banana crepes were especially delicious! To top it all off, Lily and her staff were so sweet, helpful, and kind. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a lovely and moderately priced stay in Hanoi. We hope to be back one day!

This hotel is located close to most of the happening areas around Hanoi with just 10 - 15 mins walk. The hoam kiem lake, the old french quarter, the famous beer street and St.Joseph Cathedral. There is also a night market and square which is lively in the night. We had booked a double deluxe room which is a decent hotel that's provides you comfort and relaxation. We even had a good buffet breakfast which is part of the stay. The Staff specially Toni and Laura has been so supportive throughout. They also have tour options which they can arrange.

The room was very clean and well appointed. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of fresh and hot choices. The hotel lobby is beautiful and clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Always ready to make suggestions of things to do in Hanoi. They offer tour packages at the hotel. Checking in was quick. The location is excellent, and minutes away from the old quarter area, However, it is far enough away that you don't have the noise and crowds. Many restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Lily, the hotel manager does an excellent job making sure your stay goes well.

The location is excellent. In the old quarter but on a quieter street. The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. Great recommendations for coffee and where to see since we were only staying one night. We would definitely stay here again and for longer.

The building next door is being renovated and so there is some noise in the morning, but it wasn't really that loud and it didn't affect us. They did let us know and had upgraded our room which meant we were further away from the noise.

The staff - 11/10 for manager Lily and receptionists Huy, Som and Queen, who were outstandingly friendly and kind - please refer to other reviews here, the superlatives aren’t hype, they are genuinely nice people. Oh, and not forgetting Tang, the bellboy who was unfailingly polite and helpful! The room was in the smallish side, but very comfortable (the bed was good) but not much of a view from the window. The housekeepers were amazingly efficient and the room was spotless. Breakfast isn’t great for vegetarians, but just a short walk away is a very good vegan restaurant. Would I recommend? 100% Would I stay here again? 100% Thank you Lily and team! 😊
