The location is very convenient; the room is clean and well-equipped, also bed is of moderate firmness. What impressed me the most was the attentiveness and considerateness of the waitress. Due to overslept, we were rushed to meet up for the tour immediately. While waiting for the tour guide, an attentive waitress overheard the conversation and immediately prepared a whole set delicious sandwiches for us to take away. It was really a surprise. So considerate!

Best hotel service I've got so far, and I've tried everything from super low end to extra luxury. We booked the room very last minute just so we could have a bit of private couple time away from family, and it was the best decision we made while in Vietnam. All the staff were polite, helpful, and spoke perfect English. The hotel was small, but the room was at a decent size, cleaned, and had great water pressure. The location is probably the best in Hanoi old town, close to all kind of street foods and street activities, almost opposite to Hoan Kiem lake, which is the center of the Hanoi night life, water puppet show is in walking distance, Ta Hien beer street is just 300 meters away. The famous Hanoi chicken noodles soup is literally on the same street just 50 meters away. It was literally the reason I wanted to stay at this exact location, and it was spot on😉 Cong Cafe and Highland coffee, which are right at the street corner, are great spots to enjoy some signature Vietnamese coffee while having a bit of summer evening breeze from the lake. Breakfast was served a la carte, which was perfect for my husband, who was craving some simple omelets with croissants. Bonus point for having delicious breakfast coffee as well. My husband birthday happened to be on the same day as we were staying there, and despite us not talking about it, we got a superb birthday cake as a present from the hotel. It was a delicious surprise. Overall, 11/10 for the service. I would definitely stay here again next time.

As soon as I got to the hotel every member os staff I met was so friendly and welcoming. Cabrina was main one looking after me and she was very kind and caring. She gave me lots of recommendations for things to do and was willing to help with any queries I may have had. Every other member of staff (including the hotel manager!) stopped to talk to me and ask how I was, if I enjoyed the room and how I slept. Wish I had a reason to go back to Hanoi so I could stay again!

Nothing, it was all perfect.

1. Location - We picked this hotel because of the location and we weren't disappointed. It's in the accessible part of Hanoi Old Quarter -- right next to the Hanoi Central Square and walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake. This part of the city is bustling with cafes, restaurants, and stores. And oh, the hotel is very near the weekend night market too with the streets closed so it's very comfortable to walk around. 2. Staff - All of the staff were friendly and we were treated like VIP. Huge thanks to Mr. Jackie, Soda, Nina, Queenie, Arthur, the breakfast staff, and the two drivers who made our stay more than perfect. All of our needs were taken care of from airport pickup to airport dropoff to even train station dropoff (for a side trip) and sim cards. 3. Breakfast - The breakfast was AMAZING. The dishes were made to order from a menu and everything is unlimited. You can order as much as you want responsibly. The breakfast was complete from local classics to Western style to breads to fruits and fresh fruit shakes. The staff were nice and friendly and it's always a pleasure to eat warm and freshly-made food to start the day. We were also given a packed breakfast when we checked out in the early morning. The breakfast area was in the top floor too with nice views of the city. 4. Room - The room is of a really good size actually and we can open our suitcase and bags freely while still being able to walk around. The room was also complete with everything that we need from hair dryer to clothes hangers to toilet bidet to water kettle to a smart TV (there's Netflix and YouTube!) and more.

I'm not sure if it's just a Hanoi/Vietnam standard, but it would be nice if there was also a hair conditioner/rinse aside from just shampoo and shower gel.

Location was perfect. Staff was helpful, organized an early check in even without prior request and topped it off with a room upgrade. They also lent us an umbrella on a rainy day. Breakfast was very good, lots of options and the eoman in charge was lovely.

Room had a slightly musty smell. When checking out, they (in their own words) "pressured" us to give them a 10/10 review, to the point of offering a discount in exchange for a perfect rating. This is very disingenuous and dishonest, artificially inflating the ratimg of the property. Still, overall we had a stellar experience.

There was so much to like - the charming hotel - sweet lobby, lovely staff, warm welcome; our spacious room (there are smaller rooms as well) had a round table and two chairs - perfect for my laptop, the bed was on a platform so very zen like; breakfast on the 6th floor had plenty of choice and attentive staff; location - Hoan Kiem lake was right around the corner, walking street was next door, the old quarter. Like so many buildings in Hanoi, tall and narrow, the space has been well utilized. The value for the room was excellent. Mr. Jackie Lee and staff were outstanding.

Many people will like the extras in the bathroom i.e. there are toothbrushes and other items. While I appreciate them, I would rather ask for them. I want to reduce the amount of items that get put into the garbage. I like that the shower gel and shampoo were in larger bottles. It would be nice if the restaurant did not use plastic straws.

La Selva Central Hotel Hanoi boasts a prime location, just a short walk from the famous Hoan Kiem Lake. The hotel is surrounded by bustling shops, restaurants, and vibrant crowds, making it an amazing place to stay. I chose the Executive Suite, and it was truly value for money. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. What I appreciated the most, however, was the exceptional service. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with genuine care. They provided great recommendations and even helped us book a sleeper bus—an experience that turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip.

The staff are simply amazing. They smile and greet you all the time. A special thank you to Ms. SYUEN who served us breakfast everyday. She is an epitome of excellent customer service from the heart. I hope the management of the hotel will reward her for her genuine yet professional attributes. Your hotel is so centralized and has good vibes. The room was big and felt so comfortable. This hotel is somewhere I would keep coming back to if I visit Hanoi again. Great job! Your staff are the best assets of your company.

The location is amazing 10/10 and the breakfast as well, it was in a terrace and was wonderful, staff were friendly, nice and kind. I liked that they welcomed me with watermelon juice.

We found a big cockroaches 🪳 inside the room, i believe because its made of wood. I had to kill it by myself. I slept in worries as scared to have another one going out from the room corner. I moved down to the staff who was actually helpless and he gave me a spray normally to wash glasses not sure but not Coackroach spray . It was not good experience, i dont like insects especially 🪳.

Loved the courteous staff. Jackie helped with the further travel bookings and itinerary days before the check-in at the hotel. Nina was extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is located at the junction of all the key attractions and happening side of Hanoi at the old quarters. The train street is 15min walking, the lake is 3min on foot. Mushroomed with restaurants, eateries, veg-food options, shopping options, this place is a good choice.

The beds are at the floor level or 1 ft above. Maybe other people may not like.
