We liked this hotel and the staff were excellent. Breakfast was excellent. I am rating this hotel NO better than an ordinary three-four star hotel. I have spent hundreds of nights in Booking.com hotels and this, in my view is no more than four. The restaurant is only open for breakfast. There was no "Hot Tub", but an ordinary bath tub. No bath robes, no private entrance, no city view...all were advertised to be there. The city view was over a bunch of metal roofs and the walls of some tall buildings.
I enjoyed the stay and all the staff, facilities and the room itself were great....there were no problems with any components. My view is simply put.....this hotel is greatly overrated. The room measured about sixteen feet square. large enough, but no "Executive suite", as implied in the supporting confirmation.

The room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was really good, and the location in the middle of the old quarter is perfect. But what makes this space really outstanding is the staff: they are very friendly and help you in every possible way. Thank you, Emily and Anne, and especially David who helped me a lot organizing transportation from and to the airport and the trip to Halong Bay!
Bed was a bit hard but that seems to be quite normal as I found out during my stay in Southeast Asia

The Hotel is located right in Hanoi's historic and lively Old Quarter. In this area, there is a lot to do and a wide range of food, drinks and shops. The hotel is a little oasis in the streets filled with scooters and crowds of people. Here you can explore Hanoi from its undisguised and lively side and at the same time experience very quiet nights in clean rooms in the middle of the city. David the hotel manager was our lifesaver upon arrival in Hanoi. We, as a couple with little travel experience, had a small culture shock on the day of arrival in the very hot, humid and crowded metropolis of Hanoi. David speaks perfect English (which you can‘t take for granted in Vietnam) and tries very hard to make his guests feel comfortable, je immediately offered us a room with a better view and arranged a wonderful trip to Ha Long Bay with an overnight stay on a ship for the second day. Since we were celebrating a birthday, David and the ship's crew even organized a surprise on the boat Boy our request - all in all it was a very great experience at a very good price-performance ratio. Both he and his receptionists are always of great help, e.g. when it comes to arranging drivers, exchanging money or planning sightseeing. The entire hotel staff is very friendly. When we arrived a few minutes late for breakfast, we were offered something to be brought to our room or to come to the restaurant again. I think this example speaks for itself. Overall we are very happy to have booked this hotel for our arrival in Vietnam. It is perfect for European and Western travellers.
The Hotel doesn‘t have the newest Equipment oder Furniture. Nevertheless ist as Seen in the Photos and very clean. Really Good Choice to stay some Nights there.

The hotel staff made our time in Hanoi unforgettable. They were so helpful, booked a private car for us, suggested tours and local restaurants. Breakfast was also very good with a big selection of dishes, fruits etc. We definitely want to come back one day.

Great location in the heart of the old town, welcome drink on arrival, good breakfast with lots of choice, helpful staff always waiting to get the door for you. We booked transport here. We were upgraded on our 2nd visit to a room with a balcony which was great. Good storage in room. Good air con. Toiletries are provided. Very clean. Good to have a jug and tea and coffee. We enjoyed our stays here and can recommend it and would stay again.
Very hard beds. Shower is in the bath which water ran off around the side ledge onto the floor. Place could do with some maintenance / painting. We don't like being asked upon leaving to rate it a 10, and upon arriving home, to be receiving emails requesting the same - we give honest reviews!

If it's your first time in Vietnam or Hanoi, this hotel is a safe bet. Everyone (reception/cleaning/cooking staff) was extremely nice and helpful. English and french were spoken. Their airport pick-up is a tad pricier than a taxi or grab, but worth it if you want a hassle-free and risk-free experience. Everything will be confirmed before by email or whatsapp. The room was very nice, good view, enough space, very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is excellent. Lots of choices (fresh fruits, bread and jam, rice, meat, eggs to order the way you like, and more). The hotel's location at the edge of the old quarter is great. It's easy to walk to the lake or anywhere, but not too noisy at night. Overall, one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Vietnam, and definitely the best staff.
Only things that could be improved are the doors. The bathroom door is 90% frosted glass, but 100% would be nice. The room door has a bit of a gap, making it not very soundproof.

I had a wonderful stay at the Siva Hotel . The staff were fabulous, extremely kind, helpful and professional. Especially Anne help me a lot , help me drive to change money , book the taxi, give me a nice recommendation trip to Hay Long Bay, it's really a nice travel , and also David help me book the one day tour and also change the room with balcony too, they are very helpful. My room was a nice size and very tastefully decorated. Bed was huge and very comfortable. There was a good selection at breakfast . This hotel is in a great location in the heart of the old quarter and a great place to explore Hanoi from. Highly recommend to stay here , they will look after you so well and help you organize the interesting trip.

The hotel staff delivered excellent service, and I truly appreciate the warm welcome they provided. While not luxurious like a 5-star hotel, it perfectly represented the beauty and friendliness of Vietnam. The receptionist and the entire staff exemplified the essence of Vietnamese hospitality, giving guests a genuine understanding of Vietnamese culture. I highly commend the hotel for their exceptional service and wholeheartedly recommend it to others.

When I selected Siva Luxury Hotel (aka Nova), it was because of the price, location, and airport pickup and drop off ( for an additional fee). However, it really exceeded my expectations. The location is great, and my son and I walked everywhere around the Old Quarter. The staff, Mr. David, Anne, and the others were so helpful and accommodating. They really want to make sure your stay in Hanoi is awesome, and I really did have an awesome time. The staff not only coordinated my airport pickup and drop off, they also booked 2 tours for me: Food Tour and Ha Long Bay. The tours picked you up from the hotel. The food tour was incredible. However, the Ha Long Bay one was at best mediocre. The sights were beautiful, but the unenthusiastic tour guide was a bit of mood killer. Also, the boat staff kept trying to sell their wares while they had you captive on their boat was a let down. The food on the boat was also a disappoint. When I came back from the tour, I gave Mr. David a heads up that the Food Tour was great but the Ha Long Bay tour wasn't great. I assured him that I knew it wasn't his fault but I wanted to let him know just in case he was keeping track. However, the way he handled the situation was excellent. Breakfast had local fruit, coffee, tea, milk, breakfast meat (i.e. sausage), breads, traditional soups, sauteed veggies, rice, noodles, made to order eggs and much more. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The hotel provided toiletries: shampoo, shower gel, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb, Q-tips, shower cap, and hair dryer. FYI: I don't think that hair conditioner is a thing in Vietnam. The hotel didn't have it, and the local stores didn't have it either only shampoo.
I loved being in the Old Quarter; however, I think it's important to note that it is loud in the Old Quarter. The motor bikes are going through and beeping their horns at all hours. Luckily, my son and I came equipped with earplugs.

Staff were amazing; 10 out of 10, and is why we are rating it 8 instead of 6. Breakfast was good with eggs cooked to order. We ended up being upgraded to a family room with balcony, which we appreciated. This due to the fact that we had booked (and had confirmed) a twin room and they allocated us a double. It's in the old town, so can be noisy, but we were aware at time of booking. Rooms are a good size.
Bedding (pillows an duvets) were quite lumpy. Towels very worn. Wifi worked poorly in rooms (seems to be a usual thing in this part of the world).
