The location is great, walking distance around everything you might want to see, shops and eateries. The staff is very supportive and eager to assist with every need, keeping in touch even before the arrival. Ms. Rose goes above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. She assisted in organizing a walking tour with food tasting around the Old Qarter with a knowledgeable and nice local guide. The breakfast is abundant, with a great variety with several vegetarian options, and it is served between 6:30 - 9:30 am, which helps planning an early day when needed. When I read the reviews, I saw that there were different rooms, some more quiet, then others. After expressing my need for a quieter room, I was assisted immediately and got to switch rooms, which I greatly appreciated!

Beds were super comfortable, rooms clean, location awesome & breakfast had lots of different options. The staff were all so welcoming & helpful, always rushing to open the door for you & greet you with a smile! They even let us have a shower after we had checked out of the hotel and were waiting for our sleeper bus🤗. Ms Daily was exceptional- she was so knowledgeable about different tours & ways to get around. She booked our Hagiang Tour, a bicycle tour of Hanoi, our Halong Bay tour & supported us during our whole trip with advice & sourcing tickets! She was amazing and definitely went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable! I would recommend staying here when in Hanoi!! 🤩

Perfect stay in the heart of Hanoi We stayed at the Hotel du Palace and couldn’t be happier. The location is fantastic — just a short walk from the Old Quarter, which made exploring Hanoi incredibly easy. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was excellent, with a great mix of local and Western options. A very special mention goes to Daily, who truly made our stay exceptional. She helped us organize amazing trips to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh, always with warmth, professionalism, and a genuine smile. She really went above and beyond — she deserves the very best! Highly recommended!

My stay at Hotel Du Palace was absolutely perfect! The room was impeccable, spacious, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The hotel staff was exceptionally attentive and caring throughout our stay. I would like to highlight the incredible service provided by Ms. Daily, who was essential in making our trip unforgettable. She helped us plan every detail, from tours to transfers, always with great care and professionalism. We booked all our tours with her: Ha Giang Loop, Halong Bay, and Ninh Binh, and everything was organized flawlessly. I highly recommend Hotel Du Palace to anyone looking for a complete and worry-free experience in Vietnam!

Absolutely nothing! It was a perfect experience from start to finish.

It's a great location and the staff is helpful and energetic to say the least! The hosts arranged a couple of tours for me at prices that were competitive with local booking offices. See dislikes for reasons for a 9 score. I still highly recommend this hotel. I wish I could give a 9.5.

These aren't dislikes, but reasons I gave a 9 instead of a 10. The place seems a little run down but this is my first time in Vietnam so maybe my expectations are too high. I was told there is new ownership who are very interested in input so I would imagine this will improve over time.

The reception staff were amazing! Incredibly friendly, attentive and wanting to ensure we had the best possible stay. There were staff who could speak English and when somebody couldn't, they immediately found someone else to assist. We were given a upgrade to a large room, with plenty of space for us. Location was perfect: a short walk to lots of vegan restaurants and cafes; to Uncle Ho's Mausaleum; and to the lake. The management of the property has just changed hands and the new owners are eager to improve, which is really commendable.

Breakfast was fine, but for a vegan a little limited, but this is a small hotel and perhaps that is to be expected. Early in the morning, 7am, loud music infiltrated our room from somewhere (who knows where, though) and the renovations from the next hotel also began. However, we were up early to get out and about. None of this could be helped by the hotel, and is a consequence of being in such a wonderfuly vibrant area of the city!

Nice clean hotel, but starting to show some signs of age. Good breakfast in a morning. Perfectly placed in the city for tourism. Friendly and helpful staff (thanks to Ms Daily on the tour desk). Knew the area. Organised an amazing private tour for the Ha Giang loop with a company called Ha Giang Lotus - the tour was the so good my mate and I went back and did it again! Also helped with taxis to and from airport (at a similar price to Grab, but better vehicle).

Staffs were extremely helpful. Room was nice with a good size. It takes just few minutes from Hoan Kiem lake. We booked our car to the airport with the staff here and everything was super easy.
