Right on the beach, this is a large hotel complex, with multiple buildings spread through extensive grounds. The breakfast buffet is huge and has just about everything you could think of. It is very busy, but there is room for everyone. Our room was plain, but clean and comfortable. Strange 'open' bathroom with shutters across and a blind to draw down. So, all the sounds from the bathroom could be heard in the bedroom... a bit weird. Nice big balcony, but for us it was too hot to sit out. Water bottles provided daily. Pool was very big, but much to warm to be refreshing! There were good bars on the beach and an open restaurant. Cabana/brollies/sun beds all very good down by the beach. The ocean was very clear and clean. Really lovely. Happy hour from 5pm for a couple of hours, which then moved to the bar near reception until about 8:30pm. Very good cocktails. Grab taxis not always easy to get hold of, to get to town. That's about a 20min ride and costs about 100,000D normally. The spa was very good - there was a discount voucher at check-in, which helped. Hoi an is a great town, but VERY busy and touristy. Overall a very very nice hotel and would recommend.

The breakfast service was always VERY busy and there were often no tables, but it took just a few minutes to clean and set up a new table. We got the hotel to book us scooters for the day, but it was a disaster - ran out of fuel before we got to the first petrol station, then the ignition broke. Rubbish. We got our money back, but the hotel refused to help us again, to get other scooters from a different place. Very disappointed with that service. The pool was lovely, but the water was like a bath - nothing they can do about that in July, but we went to the beach instead. Often difficult to get a taxi at this location, for short journeys. You may need to get one of the cabs parked at the hotel, on the meter...

Beautiful setting, nice facilities and the staff are very attentive. The buffet breakfast is a highlight😀 Special praise must be given to Ms Hong who looked after us every day in the restaurant. She was very attuned to our needs and nothing was too much trouble to her.

The restaurant has dropped the DIY Bahn Mi from the breakfast buffet. This was a highlight of our previous stays. In spite of its online claims Palm Gardens does not have a staffed kids club and activities for children are very limited. We were seriously considering bringing our whole family including small grand children here (11 pax) for a family holiday but this is a deal breaker. It’s surprising that this isn’t seen as a priority by management given the international competition by resorts for families.

We loved the whole atmosphere of the resort- it’s lush and beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean. We requested a ground floor room to make it even more convenient for us. Staff were wonderfully friendly, always greeting us with a smile. Breakfast buffet was excellent- so much variety and all tasted fresh and delicious. The pool was fantastic- we spent hours there and our 4 year old enjoyed the shallow areas as well as the deeper parts. We wished there was a slide but other than that perfect. The beach is a few minutes away- very secluded but there is construction on each side of the hotel so I expect it won’t be as exclusive for long. The trip to Hoi An town is easy and cheap via Grab. You need to go at least once as it was a highlight (we went every day!)

Unfortunately the restaurants menu (it’s the same menu in every restaurant!) for lunch and dinner is very disappointing. We tried twice but didn’t enjoy the food. Even the kids chicken nuggets were barely recognizable and our child wouldn’t touch them! If this was improved we would have liked to have had more meals at the resort. Instead we had some cocktails and then ate outside the resort. There are a few places right outside with varied menus- so just cross the road and have a look. The TV was glitchy and kept turning itself off but we didn’t want to watch, only testing it out. We wished there was a moveable shower head in the bathroom for convenience. The reception area is open so no aircon- changing that would make it more comfortable when you arrive/are waiting for a taxi.

This was our second time at this resort after staying in 2022. It was much better this time as there were no loud noisy corporate events this time. We love the location right on the beach, the breakfast is superb with loads of selection for any taste. The best thing about the resort are the staff - the landscapers, lifeguards, and especially the F&B team. We particularly loved Ms Phien, the F&B Supervisor, who is just great. Perhaps the reception team just need a little more training on customer service but that certainly isn’t meant as a complaint just an observation. We will definitely go back as love the area too and this resort in particular.

The only downside this trip was that the hotel have changed the supplier for the snorkelling trip. Last year they used a place called Tigerfish who were experienced, organised, had great equipment to use, knowledgeable, great boat and good snorkelling. The supplier this time chaotic, disorganised (we were waiting for at least 40mins at the dockside as the Tigerfish guests walked off their bus and straight onto the boat and sailed off!!), the equipment was old and cobbled together with cable ties in many cases. Also only one spot chosen for snorkelling which was cloudy, hardly any fish and overly busy. The boat was also an enclosed sweat box with everyone crammed in like sat on a bus!! If they haven’t changed supplier don’t bother going on this trip especially not for snorkelling.

Lovely resort with beautiful surrounds. Despite the nearby construction and concrete seawall, the beach was really good. Water was clear and cool and the staff were attentive. The pool area was nice but for the water (see below). The breakfast buffet was amazing - full of local foods and loads of options. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The room was nice. The daily free activities were great - the kids loved the cooking class and the jewellery making.

- The pool water was always hot. Not just warm, uncomfortably hot - in the morning, in the day and in the evening. I realise it’s hot weather, but this was not good and there must be something they can do as other hotels in Vietnam do not have the same issue. - The air conditioning in the room was woeful. I presume it’s an old unit and with high ceilings in the room, it just couldn’t keep up. But it was uncomfortably warm even with aircon on 16 degrees and high. - The shuttle bus timing to Hoi An isn’t timed well for evening visits (which is when you want to go).

I loved the whole resort. My room was very spacious, comfortable bed, large bathroom with excellent water pressure in shower tub, & lovely patio. I sat in lounge chairs by the sea every day, and by the pool. The pool water can get hot so they bring large bricks of ice to put in which was fun! The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of foods and I loved the daily activity that was offered. On Monday I attended the cooking class and made spring rolls and friend banana; Tuesday was the cocktail making class where we had a fruit gin & tonic and ginger honey lime tea. I had the most wonderful 5 night, 6 day stay which they graciously gave me a late checkout. I will return!!

The beach is very close from the resort, so very convenient. Sometimes the sea isn't very clean, but is very good to swim. Breakfast is varied and of good quality. We love it! The pools are very nice, but I rarely used them, because I prefer to be on the beach where very few people go

There was some noise from works, maintenance at the resort and neighboring resorts. The room cleaning was done late. The shuttle should have a late afternoon schedule to allow guests to go to Hoi An and those who went for a walk in the city to return to the resort in the late afternoon

The best hotel in Hoi An! We came here for 1 night and at the end stayed for 5, in between tried other hotels, but this one is the best! Very good personnel (helpful, friendly), private beach (be careful, it's a rare case in Hoi An, in the most part of the hotels it's public, so you will be constantly annoyed by glass-sellers etc), excellent towels and sun beds, very green territory

There is a construction next to the hotel, so the rooms are not equal, it will be noisy in some of them

nice accommodation. small houses grouped in little towns with a beautiful garden. from our house we walked like 50 metres through the garden to the beach. we had garden view but we were lucky to see the sea too. the breakfast is on a terrace. very nice to enjoy breakfast there. the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would like to recommend to speak with Mr Thi who also collects the coconuts fresh from the palm trees.
