This is a great hotel for the price. They have an beautiful courtyard for guests to relax & enjoy. The rooms are nice , clean, comfortable. Staff was all really friendly considering they were working on Christmas.

Just a little short staffed. I thought this might be expected considering it was Christmas but when I asked the bartender/waitress who was working by herself if it was busier than expected she said “no, we knew it would be like this”. Yet they had her there alone & she had to turn several people away & keep complaining about being the only one there.

The courtyard was exceptionally nice - with seating, fountain and flowering plants. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was functional. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. It's located at a good central point with easy access to Montecito, Santa Barbara and Solvang. It is also minutes away from the Carpinteria State Beach. I'll stay there again when I travel to that area.

I was disappointed that I couldn't see the sunset from the property

Although close to the 101 the inner courtyard view rooms are nice and quiet. Be aware that the Queen bed room with courtyard view advertised on booking.com is however tucked into the very corner of the building with no access to air or view. Go for the bigger rooms with balcony. We had to ask to get moved and the top floor room with balcony was what we had expected to get and was lovely. Top floor may be quieter too, no one walking above you. Staff helpful, pool small but we enjoyed sitting there a few times, restaurant open for breakfast and sometimes light evening food. No cleaning during your stay but you can pick up fresh towels and coffee etc from reception. 15 min walk to grab food in the town.

We stayed in this hotel to avoid the extortionate hotel costs in Santa Barbara. It is about 15 minute drive from Santa Barbara. Although we didn't explore Carpinteria, we were told by locals that there are quite a few tasty restaurants etc. It was spacious, very comfortable and clean. The staff were very friendly. Plenty of parking.

Location; restaurant breakfast was superb; housekeeping was soooo helpful. The coffee maker in my room didn’t work so in the early morning hours I took a short walk outside my room to find maybe a vending machine where I could get a cup. Ran into a housekeeping (manager, I assume, because she was getting all of the cleaning caddies lined up) - told her my problem and she returned to my room within minutes with another coffee maker. Service above and beyond! Oh! I almost forgot - arrived very early; desk staff physically found a ready room for me and I was able to check in early and have time to get ready for our family wedding. Love your team here!

We love the patio area. It is worth getting a room facing the patio because it cuts down on the freeway noise. So yes, our room was very quiet except for the occasional noise from the person upstairs.

There is a lot of construction happening on the freeway, so many workers who stay at the hotel have wide and large trucks which make parking in the parking lot a challenge, especially when there are a lot of guests staying at the hotel. Also, it would be nice if the hotel provided some type of free breakfast. Even if it's just cereal, fruit or snacks.

The room and property were clean. We were in walking distance from everything we needed. I also thought the place was picturesque. It was a good value. I liked my third floor room.

I would like to have those prices on the weekend we'd have booked 4 days 3 nights. It would have been better to have had a spa with licensed message therapists. The freeway noise might have been a problem if we were light sleepers.

Was a great stay. Only con would be that both mornings when we went down for coffee in the lobby it was being serviced (8-9 am) during prime coffee time and there weren’t any coffee cups. I asked the front desk and she just left and never returned.

Great location nice hotel for the value

Beautiful courtyard garden lit up with lovely colours at night. Some rooms had patio doors opening onto this area. Easy access into hotel through side door from the car park to the lift with luggage.

Not much really. If I had to be picky, it appeared to be a small restaurant area. I did think it was very overpriced for one night (£174 one night in May)

We slept good. The jacuzzi was tiny but it was nice and hot, felt good to soak my feet. There's a park really close so that was really nice for my son. The restaurant onsite was decent, we didn't have breakfast just dinner on the first night.

We had ants in our room, not a big deal but it did suck. They came and sprayed two small squirts on the floor but the ants just crawled on the walls instead of the ground but there was a little less after spraying. I think the hotel should have each room treated every time its cleans since it seems the ants just move from room to room. We were on the bottom floor and the ants were even on the ceiling. I killed them as I saw them, I didn't want my son to get ant bite.
