The room was beautiful, the ocean view location on third floor with the balcony was great. The room clean, comfortable, and attractive. The dinner at Connivo was exceptional. Every staff friendly and helpful with a focus on meeting our needs and being helpful.. For example, we wanted to walk close by for Mexican food, staffs provided us with directions and landmarks to watch for as we walked. We also enjoyed being close to the soccer field and park, and enjoyed the Saturday games from the balcony and people walking, biking, or runny by, often with a dog. We had a lot of fun doing that.

Actually, the only thing I can think of is that the cabinet holding our mini-fridge didn't close properly on the right side! I am laughing as I write this because that was so minimal and didn't obstruct a thing!

No coffee maker in room. No iron in room. Poor quality hair dryer. No luggage racks in room. $27 per night parking.

It’s very tasty furbished. Nice size rooms. Nicely laid out with the feel of being a boutique hotel. The restaurant is probably the best we’ve been to in CA. Absolutely amazing food and super nice staff

The one room we had was very smelly of moist. The other room wasn’t. It was quite stressful to stay and have the feeling of a not so well maintained place. Staff at the valet service entrance were very welcoming and accommodating. The staff at the reception were a bit off. Like they were tired or didn’t care about you as a guest. It didn’t have the warm welcome you expect from the interior and the valet guys in front. Be aware of the fog. During our stay in July it was cold and foggy around this property which didn’t make it suitable for pool day as such which we had planned for and wasn’t aware of to be an issue

super spacious room and bathroom, beautiful balcony, bed could have been comfier, the mattress felt old and springy but i slept well. parking across the st. was not an issue and saved me the cost of daily parking. i liked having both a tub and a shower in my bathroom, you have to request for amenities like shampoo etc. to be replenished though.

at first i was confused on how to enter the hotel, the entrance is through the driveway to the garage or through the hotel, so navigating, even though the general space downstairs is small, was confusing at first. would be cool if the hotel offered bikes, but again, most place don't - there wasn't much i didn't like!

The location of the hotel was really great and I couldn't ask for more as far as that was concerned. We enjoyed our time in the pool as well as sitting out on our balcony.

The price was high and we were charged for parking, when we didn't have a vehicle. When I called and asked for a detailed receipt they did refund me, but they charged me without approval to begin with. Room service left a lot to be desired for the price. The salad was meh in flavor as was the pizza. They also didn't bring salt or pepper with the tray so there was nothing to season the salad with.

The room was very impressive and spacious, Staff were very friendly overall apart from a couple of waiters.. I liked the overall look and feel to this hotel and I thought the restaurant was excellent!

Pool area was ok but quite small so you had to be quick to get a good bed in the sun! Very limited on space unfortunately.. and the service around the pool was just ok. The location was slightly out of the way and we had a good 20 mins walk to get into the main area where all the bars and restaurants were! Overall a nice stay and just about worth the price tag. beautiful hotel, inside and out. we had a spacious ocean-view room with a roomy balcony. All staff were friendly, efficient, and professional. The hotel restaurant, Convivo, is superb. We enjoyed breakfasts and dinners there. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach, and about a 20 minute walk to State Street. we liked this location quite a lot.

The pool-side chaise lounges were not very comfortable.

We were mainly impressed by the quality of the helpful and supportive staff. The best example was when a male staff member came to our room and spent quite a bit of time to adjust our cable and explain how to maximize the use of the options. However, any request we made was quickly and positively addressed. We also enjoyed our break fast at the restaurant.

Our Ocean-View room was largely obscured by trees.

Lovely pool area. Outside of the hotel nicely kept. Room comfortable and quiet.

No coffee or tea facilities in the room disappointing. Location is about a 20-25 min walk from the main part of town. Valet parking that appears unnecessary and costs c$25 a night (car park was straight forward, not sure I need to pay someone to park, at a room costing nearly $500 a night it’s just another tax on visitors) 4pm check in at this pricing point isn’t good enough, should be 3pm.

The staff and service were excellent. From the Valet service to the front desk coming in clutch with some bottle water at a strange hour of the night. The room quality and presentation of interior decor was rich and further added to the value of the stay. It didn't feel like a normal hotel and had a much classier Spanish vibe.

There was a slight mixup at the pool where the waitress was unsure if we were guests in the hotel - it made for a strange pool food/drink order but was ultimately settled easily enough. Price you pay for being a young couple in a nice spot I suppose.
