This motel is one of the best values in SB. Bear in mind it is a Motel6 and so is bare minimum. No frills or extras. Sadly even the coffee in the morning is not very good. Thin and only white powder for cream. That being said we stay here often. ...it is closer to the beach than many other hi priced places...in the morning you can walk the few meters to the beach and enjoy the quiet morning...you park right outside your door...convenient and quick...also the wifi was good. Sometimes it can be noisy..not often.. During hi season it is a real bargain...low season for a little extra you get more at some other places.

Really just the coffee...even a jug of whole milk and stronger coffee would be a great thing as there are no coffee shops close by...

What an amazing experience! The location is incredible and we now can say that we have stayed at the world's first Motel 6! Definitely a great value for the location and amenities that you get with the room. Parking was also very convenient. Booking I think did a great job with whatever rooms they Reserve ahead of time the view was excellent. The room was wonderfully renovated and modern but still had a retro vibe and had everything that you needed to have comfortable stay. My only two complaints are that we did book a room that said it had a shower in the tub and there was no tub. I'm a new mom and really was looking forward to that tub and the room did not have it. Additionally the rooms are quite small for what you would expect for a modern-day hotel but I think they are priced fairly and you get Fair facilities for the price and location. This hotel is the original Motel 6 so yes people were smaller and a lot of other things were smaller back then so that's not so much of a big deal but something to keep in mind if you have more than two people in the room it would definitely be tight!

The room that we booked said that it had a tub and it did not have a tub I was pretty disappointed by that. Other than that I really enjoyed it and would recommend it for sure to anyone that wanted to go. My guess is that they only have so many rooms with tubs and maybe they were taken before we got there but I did reserve a room with the tub so I was disappointed by that.

Very clean and updated comfortable room. Close to the ocean but far from State Street and cafés and shops. I many of the staff are finally covered when I first arrived, and they were not welcoming or friendly. There was luggage being stored, and I asked if I could store mine because I had to run to a work meeting and I would be back in the late afternoon, and they refused. Then they charged me a $20 early check-in fee and I was only there three hours early. The manager looked at me but didn’t smile and just kept talking to the staff about a training very loudly and acted as if she wasn’t happy that I was there. I felt unwelcome.

My family and I did not expect that we would get such a high quality service including high quality Internet and Premium TV channels. And I have the honor to confirm that every member of the staff, whether at the Lobby or anyone who worked to keep clean within the property, was just absolutely friendly and was simply superb in the professional performance of their work and showed the best human and moral qualities. I give you the most the highest appreciation of your work and your quality and quality property. Thank you for the pleasure of being within your limits. Rest assured that we are very grateful to you for our time in your hospitable home. We celebrated my husband's birthday. Keep being like that. Be sure you are one of the best in all respects. Family visit to Santa Barbara. A basic motel but It was very clean. Good shower for an older couple like us. Convenient location near to the beach. We were able to get coffee and tea in the lobby early morning. .Small pool but we didn't have time to use it. As a transit motel for a short visit to Santa Barbara it was fine.

No shower gel, tissues or water in the room. Family member without our consent changed our room to ground floor seaview. View was Lexus car! And noise from above, that was why we had chosen upper floor room.

I loved the room layout and decor and that it was clean. I was alone but it is perfect for one or two people. There was a large open floor space where I could easily do yoga. Keurig coffee maker in the room. If I'm back in Santa Barbara, I'd definitely stay here again. Compared to other properties, this was a great value with better ratings and location than less expensive options. Glass shower doors and tiled walls and floor. This corner room has a double corner window that's reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright design. Very nicely done for a Motel 6! If you like a trail workout (hike or run), try Inspiration Point.

I can't think of anything that stands out as not being good. My previous night in another town was noisy and I was relieved to have a more restful stay here.

Great area, very calm with 2 minutes to the beach and 20-30 min walk along the beach to the pier. We liked the pool in the afternoon, even if it was pretty small it was very nice to swim in. Clean room and comfy beds. Our room was on second floor, direction mountains. We enjoyed the restaurant Convivo next doors, it had a very nice seetting.

The family room was a bit small for 2 adults and 2 teenagers, to move around in. We only stayed for 2 nights and did not unpack and there was only room for 3 open suitcases.

The motel is in a great location right by the beach. The compact room was very clean. I liked the design and layout, with its fun bright colors, useful storage, and wooden flooring. The bathroom was clean and the walk-in shower was spacious. I appreciated the hot water for tea in the lobby in the morning. I don’t think there was anything available to eat for breakfast, but they offered small containers of juice. I had read that the beach side rooms were quieter than the highway side, so I requested one on the beach side and was glad there was one available.

Great location, 5 mins to the beach. Nice walk to Sterns Wharf, longer walk to downtown. Supermarket 10mins walk. Room was comfortable and clean. Motel 6 suited our needs for our 3 night trip to Santa Barbara.

Recommend that you put a hand towel rail next to the basin to prevent water on the floor and potential slip hazard. It would be great if there could be a kettle in the room so we can enjoy an tea or coffee anytime. Some tissues would be a nice thought

There was nothing not to like! From booking in to passing the cards back, everything went well!. One really sensible approach was to ask us if we wanted our towels changed every day (no! We don't at home so why when we are only there 3 days/4nights?). At the same, we were asked if we wanted our room cleaned daily; again the answer was No Thank You!

Nothing! I didn't like the fact that I'd left an adaptor behind! But that was my fault!!!
