We had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn Southampton! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to the hotel receptionist who greeted us—he was exceptionally kind and made sure we got a beautiful room with a stunning view. The room was newly decorated, modern, and very comfortable. The location is perfect, close to the city center, making it easy to explore. Breakfast in bed was a lovely touch, and the food overall was excellent. We truly had a wonderful time and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Southampton. Looking forward to coming back!

Always stay at holiday Inn because of the view over the Solent and seeing the ships when docked. Staff are always pleasant and helpful. Breakfast very nice and plenty of of choice. Looking forward to march next year.

This is our second stay here at the Holiday Inn. We were very fortunate to have one of the recently refurbed rooms. It was lovely. We also had a new flat screen TV. Coffee, tea, kettle etc. Nice hot shower. We were even treated to the Queen Victoria mooring up alongside the docks out the back. The whole hotel is getting a facelift, so things are a little different. Reception is reached through the Hampshire Suite doors, as the whole of the reception, restaurant and bar have been ripped out. I am told the work will take a couple of months to complete. But it won't impact apon your stay, as the restaurant and bar are also now in the Hamp Suite. It's all run very well. A special shout out to Simmi, the Breakfast Supervisor, who looked after us, made us welcome, and kept everything running smoothly in the restaurant - All the waiting staff have extra work to do, with the refurb. But they all did well. Breakfast is buffet style, with hot food, and cereals, fruit, yogurts and pastries, all looking very nice. The food in the evening was very tasty. Highly recommend the mixed grill! All in all, we had a lovely stay, and looking forward to seeing it when all the work is done on our next visit.

Great new rooms, well furnished and nice fittings, excellent shower. Really liked the new decor.

The restaurant was poor. Quite a wait to be able to order a drink. (Appalling lack of choice of "beers" as in Crona or Budweiser, and that's it. 10 mins after that to take an order. 30 mins to cook a Burger and chips. The restaurant was less than ½full. No return to clear plates or ask if anything else was wanted. Then had the nerve to charge 12½% service fee. Which I believe isn't mentioned. They did refund it. So... I would stay here again but definitely go to MacDonalds for the burger.

I.liked the rooms quite large , clean and comfortable breakfast was excellent staff very kind and helpful.and accomodating to special needs. nothing was too much to ask i had a medical.condition and the entire team.rallied to help.n support the front desk staff and manager excellent service and support. i forgot the manager who was using clutches but i am.forever grateful.for how you supported me in my vulnerability you accomodated my needs, you went over and beyond call of duty. you were excellent n compassionate forever grateful.for kindness you showed me. and thats what makes holiday Inns and IHGs special . excellent service excellent accomodation I am sorry i forgot the name of the front office male staff but i deeply appreciate your help.and support

Arrived at 3pm. Room not quite ready so we were seated in bar with free drinks Given a refurbished room. First people to use and we were asked to give feedback. (We fed back couple of issues.) Free tea and coffee always available in foyer Hotel warm Well situated for cruise terminal. Good evening meal and breakfast. Staff very friendly

2 very small lifts for whole hotel. Could only hold 2 people and cases. Slow as everyone checking out at same time. Hotel was very quiet so think this might be big problem when hotel busy Parking very expensive.

Location was fantastic we were sailing from Dock 10 so it was perfect for us. Breakfast was perfect it set us up for the day. Room was lovely, perfect for us, comfy and very clean. The facilities in the hotel were so good, as much tea and coffee as you wanted. The staff were so lovely

For us it was perfect. We had driven about 4 hours and the weather was awful. We were made to feel very welcome the staff were so lovely. We booked in for our evening meal sat and had a drink and then went to our room. Evening meal was lovely .

Overall great hotel. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. The staff was really great and helpful when needed. We came in from London on a bus and walked to the hotel from the National Express bus station with four large suitcases. The walk was easy. The hotel is located near the cruise ports which made it an even easier trek the next morning to our ship. The location is also an easy walk into Old Town where we found restaurants and shopping. Great stay!

The doors on many of the rooms slam very loudly and the elevators are incredibly slow. We waited more than 15 minutes on check out day for an elevator to make it, empty, to the 9th floor. We ended up just carrying our suitcases down 9 flights of stairs since there was never an empty elevator for us.

Many amenities for the business traveller, very comfortable stay. Good food, too - great choices on both evening and breakfast menu, and I appreciate the coffee shop in house!

The location is a business park area, so if you are looking to walk to restaurants or tourist spots, there are few around. However, the Luas (tram to city centre) is a 5 minute walk through the business park. As a solo woman traveller I pay attention to how sparsely the area is populated, but never had any problems.

Location was excellent for our needs, near the cruise terminal but also walking distance to the big shopping centre. Love the new renovated rooms, beds very comfortable and room spacious. Love the little free tea/coffee corners in the lobby. Breakfast worth the money.

Parking not included 15 GDP, still renovations going on, not that it disturbed our sleep but bit of an eyesore. Shame the pool facilities are no longer there or still being renovated, not sure.
