The room was perfect we had a premium queen room and my boys loved their sofa bed! Plenty of space and the breakfast buffet was great, a great selection of food no queues amazing service from the staff in the morning breakfast restaurant. Great location Free parking

I had contacted the hotel previously to let them know it was my little boys birthday. The hotel offered to arrange some birthday surprises for my little boy that didn't happen so was disappointed. However once I spoke to the lady on reception the next day she was cross this didn't happen and her and a guy from the restaurant went out of their way to make it up to him. The only other thing was that I was in the shower and was washing my hair and there was no conditioner which was a pain and the TV wasn't working in the morning and my children wanted to watch it as special treat in bed. The restaurant was quite expensive in the evening and staff were slow I had to keep asking for things instead of them doing check backs.

I've never stayed in holiday Inn before and I definitely will be using them as my go-to provider in future. Gorgeous facilities, super friendly staff and very reasonable price. We stayed overnight after going to a gig at Englefield House, left early to get into work Monday morning (ugh) but rested up in the lovely bed in the lovely room. Shower was great, didn't want to get out in fact, everything was clean and modern. Hairdryer was a good one (makes a change)...we didn't watch it but TV screen was huge! People had left their finished dinner plates outside, looked like one of those fancy hotels. And it was lovely and quiet. Parking was free. Staff were great. Reaso brilliant, loved him. Yep, great experience for sure. (Lounge and bar looks lush too btw)

Very family friendly hotel and when at breakfast my 2 year old son started crying and screaming. Being a first time mum I was getting worried and quickly tried to take him away fearing I would be told off. However, they quickly came to help to distract him by giving him some milk and cookies. They also showed us where the children's play area was to keep him happy. It was great and in general all staff was friendly and professional. Would definitely go back and consider using holiday inn hotels from now on.

Nothing we didn't like. Everything was perfect. Just a recommendation to have a removable shower head as it makes it easier when bathing a toddler.

Hotel was in a good location for us, went to Legoland for the day. Meal was good, booked table on arrival. Staff were nice, one waitress in particular was brilliant. Had breakfast the next morning before checking out, waitor was lovely good with the kids! Good value for money and room spotless! Would stay again. Thank you holiday Inn!

Could hear the people above us also could hear the ones next door, not the hotels fault but did keep us awake at times it felt like they were in the room with us! At one point it was 1.45am could hear the people above walking around. Staff were lovely, just some seemed fairly new, so seemed a bit chaotic at some points. But all in all a good stay, value for money, good location and spotless!

The room was spacious and homely. Lovely and clean, lovely beds that were very comfortable, the bed linen was lovely and soft, pillows very comfortable.

The prices for breakfast extortionate, next time I come to stay I will bring my own bowls/plate cutlery and go across to Aldis to buy food from there for breakfast. Please look into lowering your prices,as I'm sure those who come to stay, who are not business people like myselfand,, whereby their company pays for there accommodation and food, would be able to afford the breakfast, dinner and lunch etc.

Breakfast was excellent. Good quality. Disappointing that I had booked and paid for breakfast but it wasn't on our booking with the hotel. Had to prove that I had with my confirmation email. Asked for softer pillows and they were delivered immediately. Good information given by the receptionist regarding how to travel into the town. Very good location being just off the M4

Noise outside the room early - cleaners. Size of the bathroom, it was very small.

Check in was quite late, night staff were great - friendly and accomoodating across all nights. Breakfast had a good selection/variety and wasn't overly busy at 8.30am. Stayed during the festival, had a space to clean shoes etc but wasn't that muddy. Big car park, a but unclear where to park when arriving at night! Easy to travel into central Reading on the bus.

Outdoor seating area needed ashtrays and a bin and more regular cleaning.

Great location for access to the M4, Reading Town Centre and the football stadium. There is a bus stop outside the hotel for a regular bus service into Reading. Plenty of parking! The hotel facilities are very good and good value for the price paid. There is a very comfortable lounge and bar. The staff were very friendly and helpful, despite being very busy.

On the first night there were quite a few feral children running around the lounge/restaurant area without any parental control, which did not create a very relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is open plan, so we decided not to dine at the hotel, which was a shame. Check out was slow, but I think propbably due to staff shortages.

Breakfast was very good. Staff always busy clearing and cleaning, topping up food etc and all were very friendly. The food was fine, plenty of choice. We went early on Sunday morning.

Our welcome was not very friendly but gave basic information . The receptionist was obviously very busy as there was a lot of people about.The receptionist on our departure was was really friendly and wished us a safe journey and smiled.

The staff here are INCREDIBLE. Everyone we met was so friendly and welcoming. We stayed with our two daughters (5 and 9) and the staff were so lovely to them. Really made them feel special. Sully - the staff member who oversees the restaurant during the breakfast - is a true asset. He engaged with the kids, made them feel really welcome and special and was incredibly friendly and helpful. I hope he knows just how good he is because he turns an ordinary hotel stay into something very special and memorable. Thank you Sully!

The only negative was that it was quite noisy and the beds weren’t the comfiest. With regards to the noise - we were in a room that can be used as an adjoining room - and our neighbours were really very loud. So that’s not really something the hotel could’ve done anything about. The beds… they’re very hard. But other than that - all very, VERY good!
