Really comfy beds, amazing kitchen facilities with lots of separate areas, really good size lockers in the room (even had 3 plug sockets in them), nice games room, very clean bedrooms and bathrooms, showers even had an extra door inside to stop your stuff from getting wet! They also let me store my luggage behind the reception for free. Very nice staff and a great stay. 😊

Only issue was the pool table didn't work, but that didn't affect my stay!

I booked a bed in a 10-bed dormitory, with AC. The dormitory is very large, so you do not feel packed at all. The bed is a bunk bed, large enough, with a fair enough good mattress. For this dorm (and the entire hostel), as a male, you have access to pleinty of sanitories throughout the hostel (at least on the floor, 2 showers, 2 toilets, 2 sinks). All were clean. You also have access to a fully equipped kitchen, without oven. The common space is nice. The WiFi is good. 100m away from stop of bus 2 going to Canberra train station. 650m away from Coles supermarket. 750m away from Premier Motor Service bus stop. The staff (Francesca) is nice and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place for a short or a long stay.

The staff are so caring ,polite and respectful,the hostel is friendly and everyone is well mannered and fun to be around. The rooms are exceptionally clean and the beds aaaargh are so comfortable. It's spacious and everything is provided with nice hot showers,and close to transport and shops. I've never been made so welcomed out of all the other hostels in every state I've been to. I take my hat off to the staff who r helpful,friendly and totally understanding in everyway thanku for Ur hospitality and kindness. To the village of Canberra 10 out of 10 from me.

There was nothing not to dislike as I said before this is the hostel U R looking for.

The property was central. It had pigeon holes in the kitchen to store food and a six meal and central station kitchen with amble cooking utensils and supermarket style fridges to store food. I like the different people you met and the stories shared. I liked that you just bring your suitcase and some food and that’s it or not and go to the cafes that are everywhere nearby or supermarket. I especially liked the 3rd level balcony deck thing going on. There’s heaps of things to like about this property that feels like a village. It just needs its own communal food garden and it would be set.

Could be cleaner! Showers aren't cleaned well - (unused?) condom over the shower wall for the two days I was there suggests only periodic cleaning. Showers themselves grotty (tho not gross). Not filthy, but not really clean either. Kitchen crockery and utensils in short supply despite multiple cooktops and sinks - struggled to find a mug for breakfast, clean or dirty. Only wet and soapy sponges to wipe benches & tables, and struggled to find a clean or cleanish tea towel - like the bathrooms, the kitchen needs better cleaning. Having to carry my phone everywhere I went (as it unlocks the doors) was a hassle when I wanted to leave it to charge for a bit. Good thing I was carrying several battery packs!

I really liked my stay at the Village Hostels. Jessica and Franscesca are the nicest recepcionist I have ever seen and they are willing to help with a smile on everything you need. The hostel is big, luminous, my room had generous space and everybody seem pretty respectful. It is located 5 min on foot from the Civic Centre, close to supermarkets and the night life.

The Wifi worked pretty bad on my laptop: the connection was being interrupted constantly. We were not allowed to used the balcony on my room, or control the ac inside. Unfortunately the room was pretty cold at night, thanks we had blankets. The social life in the hostel was not the best during my visit, as there were no one at some of the events.

The Hotel is extremely well located, very close to a bus stop and the city centre. Has water station and good wifi. Many bathrooms as well. The staff is very kind and is ready to help with anything.

Had a little issue to check in and there was nobody at the lobby, luckily a worker was just leaving and she kindly helped me. The rooms are spacious with light and lockers, but you are not able to choose your own bed (which is just a personal pet peeve). Everything else was great.

The Hostel was in easy reach of all we needed to do for work whilst in Canberra. It was clean and had all that was needed for a quick stay over. The staff where welcoming and accommodated all requests.

Organized kitchen, dining area, TV lounge room and clean restrooms. Internet was strong. Staff was nice. Picnic tables out front for outside dining comfort close to CBD. The staff was diligent in cleaning up.

Staff misunderstood flyer from local attraction and gave poor instructions instead of saying they didn't know. I purchased tickets only to realize the pick-up spot was almost 1 hour away by public transportation. Too many guests left dirty dishes in the sinks, hopefully the cameras caught them and they were adequately charged.

A sort of comfortable no nonsense place. Very affordable (very good value for money). The room was clean and quiet. Very central location, in city centre and directly opposite to good bus connections. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Rudolfo (guy from Chile) but also the lady who worked with him.

Don't know, we got what we needed and were very happy with it. If you are really pressing us: the soap box should have been in the shower space, rather than next to it (but that's rather immaterial...)
