Super clean and nice design

Nitpick, but this hotel should stop marketing itself as 5 star. It is 4 star at best; I struggle to name a trait that makes it 5 star, it does not even have the basics like a swimming pool, gym, let alone things like valet. It is just a super new and clean hotel with some notion of interior design.

The staff were so understanding and helpful, I really appreciated the staffs help. We were having an family emergency and their willingness to go that extra mile for us, especially Hagi and Jaime, who was there in our dire time of need ~ We will forever be grateful for their outstanding service and kindness. I loved how colourful the decoration was and how clean and easy it was to move around. No matter where you are, it is photogenic. Bored of working in your room? Go to the lobby, tired of that spot, go to the other side of the lobby, it’s excellent. Easy to walk around and navigate to public transport. Also love the chairs in the lobby, reminds me of Task Master the tv show.

Nothing. I loved everything. If I was being forced to find something, I would like a vending machine for late night nibbles. But that’s not a big issue because the location is so convenient for Uber rides and food delivery services to get to and there is a pub across the road and a convenience store 4 minutes away if you really want something late at night to eat.

We arrived early in the morning when we returned from a New Zealand cruise. The staff was helpful and we could leave our luggage at the accommodation then go for a walk and look around until check-in time. Once we arrived back we even got our room early! They also helped us book taxis when we needed them. The hotel's location is good. It is on a quiet street next to/behind a police station and close to busy Oxford Street. I didn't mind it but it is on a hill and might be difficult for some people. The lobby was located inside the building and by the entrance there was a café. The room was large and had, as requested when booking, two single beds for me and my dad. There was a small fridge, a kettle and a capsule coffee maker in the room. The bathroom was also roomy and although the showers had those hot and cold faucets it was easy to get the water to an agreeable temperature. One lovely detail was that we stayed over New Year's and when we arrived back from watching the fireworks in the harbour there was a bottle of sparkling wine waiting for us and a cute message from the hotel wishing us all the best for 2025!

They had one large and one small elevator leading to the part of the building with our room and the signs weren't always working, I think. Sometimes it said that the elevator was on our floor but then we had to wait for the other to arrive anyway. It also took some time to get the elevator to come to our floor. They mixed up our towels a couple of times. First, we got too many towels, then we returned after a day out and we had only the large towels for the showers. Then we asked them for new ones and got too many again. There was no open restaurant at the location and the café in the same building was not part of the hotel. We managed but if you really want a hotel breakfast it is not available.

Clean and fresh rooms, very modern looking. Great shower and coffee facilities welcome after traveling. Curtains great for keeping light out and bed/bedding comfortable. Very local to main city and we enjoyed the walk or public transport in. Staff very welcoming and the hotel in general was edgy, clean and modern.

An iron in the room would have topped the room off. The breakfast area / coffee bit didn't blend in well, we used across the road in all honesty. The bed was poorly situated and no plug by one side meaning one of us didn't have access to energy for charging phones etc

We've stayed here before and loved it, because of the staff and the comfort of the rooms and closeness to the city either walking or catching a bus. The guy who checked us in wasn't very friendly, but all the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful. This time our room was very small, with one side of the bed up against the window and not much room to move around in (708). The carpet in the room was really stained and needs a good clean. The rest of the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Aircon is great and quiet, big TV, chair and desk, pretty quiet. I would stay again, but specify a bigger room.

This was the first time I've stayed here since they opened their new building and the rooms were just lovely. The furniture and facilities are quite basic but the colours and patterns really make for a fun experience. When I arrived I was really happy to find that they have a "Winter Offer" which allowed me to upgrade my basic room to a king with balcony for only $35. (Can only do this at the property and not online!!) I've stayed here numerous times and always find it great value for money. Compared to most hotels with their cold and sterile atmosphere accentuated by elevator music (always reminds me of a place where you'd wait for St Peter to call your name), the vibe at The Adge is unreal with the decor, music AND ESPECIALLY THE STAFF creating a fun and welcoming atmosphere. I have disabilities and anxiety and find the staff at The Adge to be one of the EASIEST and FRIENDLIEST groups of people to deal with. If you can stay here and can get a room with a balcony. Do it. If you have a few extra people, I've previously stayed in their lofts and oh. My. Gosh. Do think. Book it.

The electricals in the room were odd. Things would just randomly turn off. Also, I'm a very petite person (5"1 and 50kg) and found the toilet position in my bathroom to be incredibly crampt. A bigger person would be very uncomfortable and I have larger friends who I know just wouldn't fit.

The location was great - close to Oxford street yet quietly tucked away so very quiet. The rooms were well designed with everything you could possibly need for a weekend stay.

The front desk team were on their phones a lot. This was communicating with each other so I understand this may be necessary, but I would suggest if not urgent and they were serving someone at front desk to ask the other team member to hold perhaps? I would understand if it happened once, but it really was each time I was at the desk. Maybe this was also because there was only one front desk person on at any one time? The ceilings felt quite low - I little claustrophobic The tea in the rooms wasn't replenished after the first night

Loved everything here, from arrival with the warm and friendly staff (from Madrid) and then the fabulous room. So clean. The first clean bathroom we have had on our stays in Australia (usually black mould in the showers) and the room was lovely and spacious. Fabulous, comfortable bed and lovely pillows. There was nothing that I would change. Very quiet as well. All our interactions with the staff were delightful guy from Sardenia as well) and I highly recommend this hotel and would stay here again. It is walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, museums, CBD. We never had to walk more than 8 minutes to eart out ad lots of very, very good paces.

It's very close to all of the night live in the city it's extremely modern the rooms are big very clean the staff are amazing it's quite a swanky up market polished hotel the soft and the manager always so pleasant and accommodating with any request that you have I say hey quite frequently for work pretty much even the basic room the standard room is quite big in size and has all the amenities that you need charging ports television Chromecast something isn't opening windows completely renovated move bathroom showers apartments for our anniversary and it was an amazing experience the apartments are fully functional gonna catch a huge wrap around balcony some shutters they really sort of everything very impressed and would highly recommend

Would be good if gas could ring your apartment number we just make it a lot easier than having to go down all the elevators and other stairs and so the front of the building to get your guests or friend or maybe a little bit more in the menu as far as drinks and food concerned

The Adge is one of my favourite places to stay when I have to go to the city. The rooms are basic but have everything you need and are all so quirky. The lobby and Cafe downstairs is the perfect spot for a morning coffee or a cheeky afternoon hot chocolate. You're minutes from Oxford St and a short walk to central. And the staff.. oh my gosh. I wish I got the girls name who helped me check in on Tuesday. You'll know who I'm talking about if you meet her! She was just so friendly, fun and efficient. She even made me laugh after 3hrs on a train to get there. Now that's an accomplishment!

I can't fault the adge.
