The breakfast was FABULOUS, wish I had more time to eat though. The bathroom was very clean, which exceeded my expectations. The facilities were overall good. I loved the location. Only a 5 min walk to the nearest Starbucks.

It would be better if the staff could explain breakfast charges clearer because when I checked the paper copy invoices, I discovered that I paid twice for breakfast. However, staff was friendly to help me when I called the hotel. It would be better if the room has a window that I can open...to breathe air, also if the room has an exhaust fan in the bathroom, that'd be great.

Good people, professional, and act above and beyond what an average service would like.. The main advantage over other places is the Laundry room on the 9th floor.. Guests can wash their own clothes and dry them out in just 70 mins.. There is a vending machine for detergent !! only $1, while washing machine and dryer cost only $4 each.. Those who know sydney well,, Laundry is very very expensive elsewhere.

The Bar & Kitchen closes around 9-10pm. Also, the business corner has no computers, unfortunately.

Easy to drive to, convenient (but expensive) parking next door with direct access to the hotel via lifts, large spacious clean room, good amenities, extremely soft and comfortable beds, well equipped with toiletries, sheer and block out blinds, combined bath tub and shower. Friendly staff. Restaurant nice but a tad slow service.

Room was very cold, changing the thermostat and turning off the fan didn’t help too much. Bar fridge not very cold. Glass shower screen not wide enough, water ends up on the ground. Big difference in price between Saturday and Sunday nights.

Central location- the teens made great use of the pool area. Our rooms were ready way ahead of time and the front desk were extremely helpful.

The extra bed in the room was a “fold out” it was not auktable for an adult tonsleep on. There was i sufficient bedding delivered for the fold out bed . This was soon fixed when asked. We hd a superior king room (2 queen beds), there were only 2 cups and 2 glasses so all could not have a cuppa at the same time

The room had a balcony, the bed was a proper king size and not two singles put together. We also liked the location, it was close to everything. The staff came and set up a port-a-cot for my son. Also housekeeping came and cleaned everything which was really nice, sometimes this doesn’t happen for a short stay like ours.

The layout of the bathroom was a little strange, the shower screen isn’t long enough and the toilet is sort of in the way when you’re getting out. The carpark is also a bit annoying because there is no reserved parking for the hotel, so one time we had to park on Level 3 which meant catching a lift down to then catch another lift up to our room. It’s not a very smooth process, especially with a pram.

Stayed for 6days, 5nights. Location is excellent, central station is only 7-10mins walk. Chinatown is only 4mins and we went to the friday night market, lots of good foods around. Staffs are friendly except 1 staff which ignored me. Good buffet breakfast, lots of options. Rooms are big.

Late cleaning of our room. We are already back in hotel after a whole day of exploring sydney before they decided to clean. Left one of their cleaning chemicals in our bathroom and my 5yr old saw it. Rubbish was not taken out. Empty body wash bottles was not replace.

Super comfy beds, generous sized room. Although busy, it was nice and quiet at night. The ball pit in the kids area of the lobby was a huge hit. We also enjoyed drinks in the bar area before heading out to explore Vivid. Breakky in the morning was great, lots of options and regularly topped up. Staff were very helpful and attentive. We have stayed a few times now as it's a great location with parking next door and a Woolworth metro just a short stroll and lots of restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Darling Harbour, Central train station and the light rail network make it very accessible for getting around the city.

No negatives

Housekeeping was good. If they saw you, they'd always ask for room service. The room had a twin bed, which was good for my friend and I. The location was awesome, close to public transport and other facilities like food and shopping.

The beds were horrible in the sense that there was just too much dust on it or something. My friend didn't have their sheets changed but I did since I accidentally spilled some apple juice.. hence why the next few days my bed had less dust and I coughed way less than I did before. My friend continued to cough the entire 7 night trip. The beds were comfortable to lie in.. nice on the back and all but a minute into sleeping you start to cough which is horrible. One more thing I'd like to address is the pool. Novotel Sydney Central displays false advertising declaring they have heated pools, but they do not. Real disappointment to both the pool and beds. Also no kitchen.. (but a microwave would've been good enough to add if not a kitchen).

The location is very central, close to all stores, shops and restaurants are plenty. Near the train station and we rode the bus most of the time using an Opal card and it was very convenient. My kids enjoyed the pool. There's a fridge, kettle, tea bags and coffee in the room. We used their dryer and washer $4 each and gave me a free laundry pod soap. Staff are great! They also allowed us to leave our luggages so we can still roam around.

The shower knob/ pipe in our shower makes a very loud squeeking noise when you turn it on, the entire shower time, will wake up the people in the room.

good location close to central station for transport access. Handy if you are visiting the university in the area or needing to access other parts of the CBD, as train, bus and tram are all a short walk away. The resutrant food was very good. Parking next door, but not super cheap.

the shower over the bath was slightly difficult to get in and out of. Would be terrible if you had mobility issues. Room had two beds, one of them had a dip / depression in it. Used the other bed which was ok,
