Good value for money and great location close to the train station. Staff were very helpful and friendly, also was able to check in earlier.

Lack of bath towels but staff were helpful when I asked about it, apparently this is common in Sydney in the summer. Bed was also two beds pushed together.

The fact that my original room had issues was not so pleasing, But the speed that the staff relocated me to another room of equal size was brilliant. This also gave me a better view of town hall station and how it was illuminated of the night. Great photos. Due to this view the conditions outside were visible to you and dressing for condition's was made easy. I had one restless night, but the photos of town hall station and the surrounds because of it are priceless. Man thanks to the staff even on checking in or out early with the storage facility for your bags. I checked out at 8am and they held my bags for me until midday. Much appreciated.

The card greeting you telling customers to facilitate the cleaning staff to but full bin liners out the front of your door for retrieval, Not my best thoughts of such a fine establishment

This hotel is a short walk to Central Station to access the airport and half the price of the airport hotels. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The room was quite spacious, and we had no street or traffic noise for such a busy area.

Nothing. However, arriving outside of reception hours, we needed to phone a number (previously supplied) for access. You need to call once you're at the hotel entrance - not beforehand. We had a bit of a wait on the line because the information line was so busy then, but once you got to speak to someone, they were very helpful. You gain access to the lockbox to get the envelope containing your key and then they give you your room number. It was all very secure.

location wise its ideally located on the edge of Chinatown , with amazing food nearby and a local supermarket for groceries. trams and light rail at the door step . The room was east facing which was delightful for the morning sun and was also double glazed but i was rarely disturbed by the street noise ( not much of this BTW as Sydneysiders dont seem to be as aggressive as Melbourne drivers ) . The room was very clean and the bed huge and comfortable .

there were aluminum dividers between the balconies that had become detached from their footings which meant when the wind blew they clanged around all day and night . The room has some maintenance issues and i suggest the owners invest a little in this i.e., the shower extraction didn't work , the walls had some unsightly marks . I also mentioned a cockroach issue which needs to be addressed . ( i was greeted when getting out of the lift to the 3rd floor by an upside down dead cockroach . I had one in the room i couldn't catch and the balcony seemed to attract them at night time . My understanding is that these are not unknown issues and again the owners need to address this .

location for us was great. it was extremely quiet inside but super close to train and China town.

some things were just a bit strange, we put out towels which were wet and did not get new ones replaced. their policy is put rubbish I. bags in hallway and they take away. good Policybut it looked a bit messy with rubbish down the corridors.

I stayed overnight while transiting through Sydney by train. The Hotel is very handy to Central station, just a 5 minute walk, which is also great for people catching the train to/from the airport. The room I had was fairly basic but neat and tidy and in relatively good condition. Blackout curtains work really well to keep the room dark. Lots of foot traffic out the front of the hotel day and night, but nothing too unpleasant. A pass key is required to enter the main hotel doors after 10pm until 6am, and there is also a 24 hour reception desk, so quite secure. For those travelling alone, the hotel will safely store your luggage for you for a few hours after check out. It's also a free service, which is a big bonus and very handy compared to storing in a locker at the railway station.

Location convenient to public transport and room was quiet despite busy location. The guy at reception in the evening- sorry I did get your name- was exceptionally friendly and welcoming and really made the experience special . Very comfortable bed

It was a bit dated and not wonderfully clean. Our rooms im needed a good scrub- sink and shower were not clean. The lift had a dirty floor that didn’t get vacuumed while we were there. We stayed 5 nights and our room wasn’t serviced. We had to ask for extra towels. However despite this I would stay there again.

Excellent location of the hotel, Chinatown within walking distance, close to some great pubs and eateries. The room was good value for the money. Great Japanese air con, comfy bed and big modern TV. Mini bar was really mini but did the job. As others have noted, the bed is two singles stuck together but it's much better than you think it's going to be. Service from the reception is generally very good. I did have an issue but it was resolved well by the night manager. They are open 24 hours which is great for security. Speaking of which, they lock the doors at 9pm. Top marks.

Hallways a bit tatty with freyed carpet. There is a musky smell once you leave the lift. Speaking of which the lift does not inspire confidence. We were evacuated one night after someone was smoking/ vaping in the room. It was a shomozzle and we gathered in the lobby to get told off by the fire department. The showers are awful. Water pressure is non existant.

Excellent rate and great location. Across from Central, within 10 minutes stroll to Haymarket, Chinatown and Darling Harbour. The room was basic but with everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was very clean, and the bed was super comfy. Staff were friendly, we would definitely come back.

Our aircon didnt work, lucky it wasnt any warmer as the windows dont open. The hotel is mainly for short stays i think as the rooms are not serviced, but it did not affect our stay at all as it was just one night, we were super happy with everything.

Hotel is in very good location being directly across from Central Station and on Railway Square also close to Haymarket Tram Stop. So trams, trains and buses are all close by. Also good for those who are willing to simply stroll from hotel location into central Sydney, for example, Circular Quay. It's a nice walk and different routes can also take you to other locations of interest.

I have now stayed at this property twice and accept the cost because of its convenient location. However, I think the buildind is starting to show some need of repair and refurbishment. I woke up one morning to find that there was no hot water and one of the lifts was out of service, on the day I arrived I had to report that the door closer of my room was broken. I consider that when big things like the hot water not working and lift being out happen similtaniously, this may be an indication that the property needs attention. As for the door closer in the room. Why didn't any of the staff report it?
