The staff was very nice and friendly also very accommodating, they made sure I feel very welcome. The front desk staff at check in they accommodated me on a room with the marina view, thank you so much! They left me a birthday cake and a bottle of bubbly to celebrate NYE, that made my stay so special! I travelled solo for NYE and I felt very well care in the Ovolo. The breakfast was very tasty and good variety of food, the restaurant staff was very nice they remember me and my food likes, The housekeeping staff they made sure my room was ready and I have everything that I needed like towels, amenities , one time they came and I was in the upstairs so they left a note to let me know they came and that if I wanted my room service to call them. The hotel and rooms are very unique, the bed very comfortable, the decor is very tasteful and location it couldn’t be beat, close to major attractions and in front of the bus stop for the Hop-in, hop-out red bus line I will definitely recommend it!

The pool is hidden away not easy too find but I guess is limited due the architecture, the pool area is nice but I don’t like indoor pools, is a preference thing I guess.

We stayed for a week and we enjoyed the location of the hotel, easy access for walking and exercising, many restaurants at varying price points. The loft room was very clean and perfect for our needs. The bed was comfortable and shower terrific. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The hotel had many comfortable areas we could work outside the room. Breakfast was pleasant with nice food options.

The air conditioning intimately turns off so when sleeping at night it gets warm. Some of the areas within the hotel had a little too many props/decorations.

we decided to stay in a different spot than the City centre and it was a good choice. the whole visit the staff were outstanding and the venue is very peaceful. the walk over to the City centre was about 15mins and is really nice past the Art gallery etc. They have a great bar area and you can also have breakfast (we didn't so no feedback). Good quality restaurants are available on the wharf area (China Doll is great)

flooring in the bathroom was a bit worn but the shower was good. if you like it a bit quiet then get a room further back in the hotel as the front you can hear the traffic a bit but that is Sydney.

Spacious, well furnished, comfortable and very clean rooms, great pool/gym, very nice hotel surroundings and steps away from the Sydney Botanic Gardens. Fantastic breakfast. It is a bit far (20-30 mins walk) from Circular Quay or the CBD but there are plenty of taxis and you can walk through the nearby parks to those destinations. The reception staff were very attentive and concerned about our stay, particularly Jade. If you like hotels a bit away from the noise, this is a perfect place.

Unfortunately, we had a couple of rather noisy nights, first due to a wedding reception at the hotel, and then due to some very inconsiderate neighbours, which the hotel staff had a hard time controlling. However, the next day the hotel offered us an apology and a small gift for the inconvenience. In any case, I recommend requesting a quiet room to be sure of getting a good night's sleep.

The property is beautiful and very well presented. The rooms are lovely and spacious with aircon you can control yourself. You can also open the windows. The bed was the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on in a hotel. It was exceptional. The view was beautiful. The additional Christmas gifts were a lovely personal touch. The pool area is beautifully maintained and the perfect temperature, even during the heat of summer. I would definitely stay at the hotel again when visiting my family in Sydney, Potts Point area.

I was given a disabled room and the shower wasn’t cleaned properly. I was disappointed I did not get a bath as advertised in the picture and within my booking. The view did make it for it. Initially I was given a room with barely any light and no visible view other than the front entrance. It was implied I was given the room as i did not book directly with the hotel.

The location is great and the historical property is charming. Rooms are well designed but the experience varies greatly room to room. I would highly recommend a room far from the lobby on an upper floor. This is especially important if they have anything going on in the ballroom which can get quite noisy.

I have stayed here numerous times and the way they do made to order eggs at breakfast is silly. It takes entirely too long to get eggs made by the staff as a compliment to the buffet and by the time they deliver them you are basically done with your meal. They also now charge for their mini bar even though most of the items included use to be free. This was a nice perk given the high rate which is now immaterial. This change was a mistake in my opinion. Also the "pool" facilities are near impossible to find or use. In the three times I have stayed here I have yet to find them. Elevators are also painfully slow and the layout can be awkward to navigate pending the location of your room.

The hotel is extremely nice. I love the way how the old building components were preserved and exposed. The room was very spacious, modernly designed. Bed was huge with a comfy mattress, clean bed linen and towels every day. I enjoyed the breakfast however after three days it gets a little bit too monotonous ;) I did use quests' laundry, it is very handy. We didn't use the pool but had a look at it - nice to have a swim in the morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located, just a 20 mins walk to Sydney Opera via gorgeous Botanical Gardens. The neighborhood is very nice, lots of small stores and restaurants around.

The location of the hotel is really good and convenient.

1. Cleanness is just ok, but can be better. I can see some stain in pillow and spider net on the window of bathroom, and some small corners are with fungi. 2. The facility is not designed well enough, for example, there is no place to put your own bathroom stuff inside the room, I needed to move one of the table into the bathroom to create space, the basin is too small. And the water Faucet is hard to close, it will always leak if you don't turn it with extra turns, usage is not friendly. 3. I wanted to leave the food in the fridge after I checked out for some hours, with the confirmation from the reception, the stuff still forgot to do it. 4. Getting invoice with company name is really hard, property push me to booking, and booking push me back to property.

Loved the location and decor and the staff was fabulous. My daughter loved the jars of free candy. When we had a mechanical issue with our room's heating they offered to move us when they couldn't immediately fix it. We ended up accepting a space heater instead since we didn't want to have to repack our stuff and it worked fine. But they gave us some nice free gifts as compensation for the trouble even though we hadn't asked for them or complained. The breakfast was delicious. The free laundry room for guests was also so helpful.

The music that was always playing in the lobby was a little too loud.

We loved this hotel. It was recommended by someone who lives in Sydney. We stayed in the loft rooms… highly recommended. Your “living” space is completely separate from your sleeping space, which is really nice. The hotel is right next to the beautiful Botanic Garden, which includes the Opera House. Beautiful walks every morning. There were sculptures throughout the hotel and wharf space and a great vegan restaurant. It meant so much that everything was included — laundry and snacks—-so so nice not to feel like we were constantly being charged for something, which is very common in a lot of hotels!! Highly recommend getting the reservation with breakfast included. Wonderful breakfast buffet … great way to start the day. Everyone was super friendly and super helpful!!!
