We stayed during women’s World Cup & the hotel lobby had a wonderful Aussie pride vibe!! Aussie flag & message board was a great touch! The Staff (both hotel reception, cleaners & Ottis restaurant) bent over backwards our whole stay, and were exceptional! Nothing was too much trouble for them. The breakfast included at Ottis was not a Buffett, however we actually loved this… as the meals were fresh made and tasted! And there was lots of variety! The best part of our stay was the bed & pillows! They’re the most comfiest we’ve come across travelling.

the bed was huge and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. I little tricky with the 'casting' from your phone to the tv and for a non tech person it would be extremely difficult.

The more technology is integrated in the room the less it is favourable to the older generation, those on old phones or simply those that suffer certain disabilities. If you wanted to watch anything on the tv other than free to air you had to chrome case which wasn't even the usual google cast but another casting service which required a special login etc. This would have been a major hurdle for those that are not technologically savy. Also not enough towels in room but responded ok after request. Breakfast was a little difficult as the order was mishandled and the eggs were basically hard and cold!

The included breakfast was not good value at an additional cost of $25 each. A limited option of meals with one drink. My daughter & I had a miniature breakfast burger and very average coffee. My husbands eggs benedict was also very small but, admitedly perfectly prepared. Our son had the bacon & eggs option which was a more reasonable serving size, but incredibly basic - no sauce or even butter for the toast. It would have worked out much cheaper to have just ordered off the menu and paid direct at the restaurant. (Or even better, gone somewhere else!)

Location and views are great. Close to transport or walk anywhere. Nice rooms. I asked for a different room when I checked in, and they were happy to oblige. Deluxe suite v large. Good beds. Friendly and helpful staff. 11am checkout. Aircon turns off if balcony door is open, saves power.

$35/night on-site parking- steep! I would expect a better selection of teas, a couple of on-the-house snacks, some bar options, particularly in the deluxe suites. Gym - only has some cardio machines. Suggest add hand weights, kettle bells. Pool fits 2 people. No movie channels.

Good location: very welcoming.: pleasant decor: reception / check in- a real Joy!! - felt we knew HANAH FOR YEARS! - and a big HELLO THE FOLLOWING DAY-VERY COMFORTABLE ROOM, Balcony and River view YUMMIE DINNER and breakfast in OTTI…. etc trying to book for next week- end - possibly to late!!

(TONGUE IN CHEEK)…. the challenging walk up the hill- from the river ( for a nearly 80 year old!!!). - but worth it!!!…….. Had arranged for our son to visit in the morning - and watch the 6 NATIONS RUGBY MATCH on ROOM TV. Connectivity problem. Watched on son’s lap top on a small table. GREAT FUN - with breakfast up from OTTI. - IRELAND WON! Memorable!!

Comfortable, clean rooms. Friendly staff. Good location for visiting Southbank. Breakfast in the cafe was good too.

Unfortunately the pool was closed for cleaning for over 2 hours on Sunday morning, meaning we couldn't use it before we had to check out. Also didn't like how this hotel uses the outdated method of pre-authorization deposits which took a few days for us to get our money back. Hardly any places do this anymore, so I don't know why they do. If you are staying here, make sure you have extra money in your bank account for this reason.

Right from the very moment we checked in, the experience was wonderful. The concierge was polite, professional & extremely helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed for our stay. Our room was upgraded to one with a balcony & all facilities we clean & well maintained. The pool allowed for a relaxing afternoon soak & the location was perfect for an evening stroll to Southbank for a beautiful dinner.

Trying to get through on the phone is a nightmare. No one ever seems to answer the phones. I am sure they would be losing a lot of $/customers. Better directions would be good, my Garmin took me round in circles three times, access is tricky. Lighting on the garage parking entry would be a good idea... You cannot read the instructions at night.

While the bed was comfortable the top cover was too heavy. We would have preferred loose sheets and blankets which we could adjust to our needs.

We were disappointed in the Breakfast we paid for to have included. The cost was $25 pp but the actual cost of the the available choices was only $20.00 for my wife and $18.00 for my self. Next time I would not included B/F in the booking as the a-la-carte choices are much bigger and better value for the money.

Cafe was a little pricey but to be expected these days with Cost of living.
