I Loved the room made me feel comfortable made me feel like home love the spa really enjoyed it , The balcony it's good to sit out have a coffee in the morning nice view of the city the other buildings . Oh, the bed was so comfortable & and I love the setup of the room very homely. The staff was helpful & amazing 👏, Easy Night access to our room was a splendid stay ☺️

there's was nothing to dislike about my stay was pretty good it's a good motel would love to stay there again .

Family room was quite comfortable. I loved the separation between kids and parents room. They had a separate TV in each room allowing us to watch our own thing and kids watch their thing in their room. The staff were friendly too and they accommodated us on level 3 with balcony from original ground level.

The body soaps were not filled. They were empty and I don’t think cleaners took this into consideration. We had to shower with Liquid hand soap. The hot breakfast was served on our last day which was the 5th day. Would have been nice to have hot brekkie atleast alternate days.

Upstairs rooms were quieter, brighter and felt far more welcoming than downstairs. Rooms were clean and housekeeping does a great job daily. We requested to move upstairs and the staff were very accommodating. Staff genuinely assisted everyone well. Restaurant food was nice, happy hour was good value.

The hotel itself is quite old, especially the laundry facilities. The downstairs room we were in had dust covered air cons. Balcony was filthy. Breakfast buffet has limited variety. We stayed for 5 days and were tired of the same food and lack in variety. Wifi was appalling - good luck connecting the TV's to watch any smart apps.

We stayed at the family room. It was worth staying in. It came with a balcony in each room. The location was very central to everything. The price I played came with breakfast which was good. The pool area was nice as well.

When I booked online it said I could pay with Diners club credit card. When I went to finalise my bill found out Diners was not accepted as a form of payment even though it said on my booking. It got me by surprise as you budget accordingly. The Family room was great the only thing I can fault it is that it doesn't a full length mirror.

The nice starched sheets and the quietness of the room.

The WIFI or rather, lack of it..... in, out, on,off. Just totally hopeless. Definitely make sure you have your own back up data if you intend using the Internet. No drawers for stowing clothing if you intend staying for 5 nights as I did. The ' I'm doing you a favour ' attitude of the condescending Receptionist at about 1900 on May 11 when I asked her to book a taxi to the airport for me for 0515 the next morning. The taxi didn't arrive and the taxi person answering my call said that they had no record of any booking. Only one taxi company in Cairns I believe so call for a booking yourself. Mercure management.. Have a word with your 'holier than thou' Receptionist.

the duvet cover had poo marks on it !!!!!!! Yuk !!!! Discusting !!!

Great location, and we really liked the room. The housekeeping was a bit random, like changing towels but not making the beds/sweeping floor. We also had a cockroach run across the floor so the property might benefit from pest control. Otherwise comfortable to stay and was a great base for us in Cairns.

We only had one coffee pod and a cheeky note saying you had to pay for more, despite a longer stay and being two people.

Room was a great size and great size bed. Ensuite was good and shower was nice and hot. Hotel was in a great location 5-10 min walk to the centre of the esplanade. Aircon worked well until it kept cutting out. Had a fan inside which was great to help circulating the air. Overall we were comfy and liked the room. Staff were always available and very nice and helpful. They helped us out with both early check in and late check out

King bed was on wheels with no locks or stopper so moved every time we learned on it. Needed to put our towel at the end to stop moving. There was a bad smell coming from the WIR which was over powering the air fresher in there. Aircon kept cutting out.

We booked at the Mercure Cairns after our flight back to Sydney was cancelled. We only got to stay for one night, but it was a great hotel, and I'd happily stay there again in the future. The reception staff were nice, and the room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed.

The only thing I didn't like was that the little tea/coffee caddy hadn't been restocked since the last guest, which meant that we didn't have any coffee pods, but not a big deal.

The family room is big, very comfortable to stay in. Breakfast is delicious too. It is within walking distance to the night market and the esplanade. It is also beside the Budget and Avis car rental office.

There is some upgrading work done to the lift so we need to walk up the staircase. However the staff helped us to bring up our luggage bags to our rooms.
