after reading the comments on booking.com I was a bit sceptical of my choice. but in fact I was surprised in the good way: yes I did found an old hotel exactly as in their advertisement claims but very clean and quiet. yes the floors are old and their level are not strictly flat but I couldn't see how they would be dangerous as in one of the comments. The staff were friendly and accommodating, they took me along and showed me everything I could need to use; kitchenette, laundry room, showers and WC. And yes the toilets and showers are not in the rooms but it is as advertised and again very clean and spacious. I will definitely stay there again if my way pass Prosperine in one of my next travels

We enjoyed the heritage qualities & spacious feel of the property. The kitchen was well set up, clean & handy. The balcony was pleasant, though a bit tatty. The bathroom was very roomy.

The walls allowed us to overhear neighbouring guests, including snoring. Only one toilet in the ladies was available. The smell of smoking came from the opposite balcony area.

Staff were great. Organised my room late at night and gave me a personal tour and showed me all the facilities. Clean and comfortable. Very old school style pub motel rooms as you would expect for a historic pub.

It's not like a normal motel room. There is no personal toilet or shower. It's more like a caravan park with a common bathroom facility. It's clean but I'd treat it like a caravan park and wear thongs in the shower just in case you get tinea. Floors are wonky throughout the halls as its over 100 years old. It's fine but I recon it would be trippy if you were drunk lol

I found it very special to stay in this truly authentic historical hotel. Spacious bedroom, big timber post bed, extra rattan settee and armchair, high ceilings, beautiful polished timer floor, bedroom door opened to first floor balcony, all this created a memorable Australian experience.

Great staff, especially Peter. Stunning, clean, comfortable bedroom, love the age and history, and location.

Only one toilet for women, no iron though an ironing board, shower needs place for clothes, soap dish moved away from the water

We came back for the second time and it was perfect again. Right in the middle of a gorgeous little town. A hotel with a vibrant history. Amazingly nice stuff and everything perfect clean.

Location in Main St of Proserpine, with easy access to bus, train, airport transfers, restaurants, IGA supermarket and other shops. Great! The accommodation also had access to a well equipped kitchen which I used everyday to prepare meals.Room was air conditioned.

Ceiling fan didn’t work.

Loved the restaurant connected to the bar. After a long trip a good meal with a wine definitely helped me. The hotel is an old fashioned style hotel and not really modern. I think it's a hotel for people who stay one night.

The room was connected to a small outdoor porch where all the AC's were hanging and laundry was done. This was a bit weird, this should be clean and nice for guests.

Good value, stayed one night. Shared kitchen facilities were very good. Bed comfortable. Restaurant was closed for renovations, Chinese restaurant next door was excellent.

Shower head in ladies shower needs to be replaced.

Good location, huge parking lot at the rear entrance, well equipped kitchen, the room is ok

The toilet and shower little bit far from part of the rooms and no space for personal stuff while you in the shower
