Location was brilliant. Lovely views. Cottages set in a beautiful working vineyard. The cottages are Ecco cottages, small but very comfortable and designed for couples. Breakfast provisions supplied to enable us to cook for ourselves.

Be prepared to be without the internet!! The service was spasmodic and our phones didn't work most of the time. Another problem, while a late checkout is great and they advertise 11 am checkout... what people might not realise is that the office does not open until 11 am so if you need to be on the road earlier than that, you need to make arrangements to do so the day before. And you can't count on phoning the owner as your phone might not work at that particular time!

The cottage was very cosy and perfect for a one night stopover, located close to the Calder fwy not far out of Melbourne. The cottage was well stocked with generous breakfast provisions and after hours check in was well handled by the hosts. Very clean and comfortable

As others have mentioned, phone reception is not great at the cottages (text messages got through ok though) and there is no wifi, so come prepared to unplug and relax.

The cabins are well designed and these details are proudly described in their property booklet. The cabins are eco friendly and reliably off grid. The breakfast provisions are very generous and fresh. The staff were very kind and understanding of my special needs relating to my health and made sure I felt safe and secure despite the problematic mobile reception/internet.

My only concern was the poor reception and internet is very poor. I doubt this would bother couples or groups but as a solo traveller with some health concerns, it was not ideal but I was able to communicate when necessary and as said before, the staff were very obliging.

Beautiful location. Attention to detail by the staff was exceptional. Was great to have a choice of music and movies supplied in the unit. Very comfortable accomodation and food provided for breakfast was terrific. Loved our stay! We also really liked the eco-friendly approach, including planting for attracting birds and wildlife and self-contained, off-the-grid cottage.

We loved having a BBQ available, however, there was no light over the area, so was difficult to cook after dark. The unit also could have used its own set of grill tools, brushes, etc. We managed ok :)

The view over the vineyards was beautiful. The breakfast foods provided were delicious plus being off grid was great.

Coffee machine did not pierce pods correctly and therefore did not work nor did our friend’s machine next door. When we reported this to management they didn’t appear to care. Guests need to be aware there is no mobile reception.

My cottage was perfect. Everything was provided and it was spotlessly clean. There was even breakfast provisions in the fridge. The bed was very warm and comfortable (with electric blanket). A lovely little decking area to eat outside with bbq. The winery itself was peaceful and wonderful. I was sad to leave.

It was easy to find as it was well signposted by the winery. once the heating was going, the cottage was very cosy and warm. There was an electric frypan, toaster and microwave so we were able to cook basic meals. The breakfast provisions were generous and the only items we finished were the bread and yoghurt. It was extremely quiet and only about 10 minutes from Gisborne (which had supermarkets) and about 20 minutes from Mt Macedon where we visited gardens. It was an easy 25 minute drive to Melbourne airport. There was lots of on-demand piping hot water and a good shower. The toilet was in a separate room off the bathroom.

The parking was difficult for our cottage (Peppermint Gum) with a drop on one side and rocks on the other. We did not use the carport because of this. The parking for the other cottages was more straightforward. The winery was a bit far for us to drive to a restaurant at night and the restaurant in the winery was only open for lunch.

Heating was good, bed was comfortable, shower was good, breakfast provisions were good except not enough coffee supplies and we ran out of bread. The location was central in terms of other towns and places we visited. The vineyard was interesting although we are not wine drinkers so did not take advantage of this.

The location was a bit isolated and a distance from any shops or cafes. The address is Gisborne but it is really Sth Gisborne. A normal table would have been preferred rather than a high style one. The view was OK. The weather was not the best so that perhaps influenced our stay. The restaurant closed at 4pm so we were not able to utilise this facility as we were out exploring the region during the day.

Our cottage accommodation was beautiful, comfortable well and in a beautiful and peaceful environment. It had everything we needed and we felt very relaxed. We loved over looking the vines and watching and listening to the little birds around us. We drove to nearby Hanging Rock for a walk then to a lovely reserve for a fish. Plenty to see and explore not far from accommodation, away from the City.

The cottages are on the hillside beyond the restaurant and next to the vines, where one can wander freely. It was a peaceful place to rest after a pleasant lunch and wine tasting. My cottage overlooked the dam and had a small veranda where I could enjoy the late afternoon sun. The interior was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. There was plenty of space for one or two, for an overnight or weekend stay. It was off-grid with no mobile reception (Telstra) or wi-fi, but I could wander through the vines and pick up phone reception there. Check in and check out times were very accommodating (2pm/11am).
