Location is excellent, right in the heart of the CBD. I went to the Australian Open Tennis and walked to the event most days (10 minutes via the river walk) or free trams are really close to. Free trams to Southern Cross station were basically write outside the hotel. Room was clean and serviced well by hotel staff. Front desk staff were helpful when I needed them. Breakfast was decent. For the price, it was very good.

Beds a little hard, but not too bad. I was happy I bought my own pillow to put under my shoulders each night. Laundry room only being available to 9pm was a little difficult when going to the tennis each day (and not being a morning person), but was ok. A little frustrating one of the lifts stopped working the last 2 days I was there, as it took a whole to get up to room and come back down, but I was given a slightly later check out time due to this, so not too bad.

This is an up market back packers. Good for the price I would not pay more than $100.00 per night. The room is small but fine for an overnight or two night stay, The heater worked well and the room was warm in no time, did not try the air-conditioner no need. After reading some reviews I thought it would be a dump however I was pleasantly surprised. Shower probably needs an update other than that all was fine. No glasses in the room only two coffee mugs, couldn't get ice and no ice tray. Bed was very comfortable and we had a good night sleep. Very easy to get to and tram at the front door.

Staff were pleasant enough but English was not there first language was a little hard with my accent. Had to wait at reception for the staff member to check out the room before I got my deposit back, that I found very insulting. What did they think a 68 year old was going to do? They had all my information including credit card details, had there been an issue they could have called me. Other than that it was good. Would stay again for the right price.

What I liked about the Hotel: • The Location is a great spot due to being close to the train station & Tram station. Most of the attractions are walking distance and restaurants that are next to the hotel. • the room was good, a nice space for a single room. • the staff were very friendly and easy to talk to.

The improvement of the hotel: • there were a few spots of the room (bathroom door had a somewhat of a hole) and the walls had some marks on it. • The A/C was somewhat malfunctioning to where there was issues controlling the temperature and fan level.

Excellent location. Your customer service staff Laksh was exemplary and exceeded our expectations from our checking in to our various requests. He should be a role model for your other staff.

On 28 Dec, we told the housekeeping staff during noon to return 15 minutes later to service the room but we were disappointed to find out she didn’t when we returned at night. On 29 Dec, the soiled towels were taken but not replenished. The space between the TV and bed is rather narrow and I knocked against the TV on two occasions. Need to walk carefully to the other side of the bed.

The room was small but spacious for one person. Nice en-suite bathroom. The facilities were good, breakfast nice though I expected a little more for the price paid. Location great!

My room didn’t have a window (it had a glass section that was supposed to be a window but it o think faced a wall and was tinted so you couldn’t see out and painted so you couldn’t open it) - it was quite dark and I couldn’t tell the difference between day and night. This made me a little claustrophobic. But if you’re sightseeing and don’t spend too much time in the room it wouldn’t make much of a difference.

It is centrally located, walking distance to tram stops, shops, restaurants, cafes, and shops. The room is basic but clean, with good water pressure in the shower and a very comfortable mattress.

It's not that I didn't like but there is no hair-dryer in the room. One can get it from reception and return it after use or before you leave. It would be nice to have a small hair dryer already in the room. If you need to iron your clothes, you need to take your garment to the laundry room and use the iron that is in the laundry room.

Location is perfect, in the heart of the CBD with plenty of food options and inside the free tram zone. Beds were comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was not appealing. We intended on having breakfast there, but after looking at the options decided it was better to go out. I wish the Laundry facilities stayed open till later and they took cashback. The walls of the room were very thin, so there was noise from other rooms. There was no shampoo and conditioner only an all in one body wash, which is not great. The bathroom design is a bit off, but not a deal breaker. The night lamps in the bed did not work.

Very good value for money, pretty much what we expected and wanted. Location is obviously the biggest plus! The staff were very nice and made checking in and out very smooth and easy! Very much loved that we could safely keep our bags at the hotel after check out as we weren't flying till much later in the day.

Using the kettle was a little difficult as is didn't fit very well under the sink tap, which was the only tap in the room. The light for the shower was the same light for the toilet, and as these were seperated it made the shower quite dark. I'm not a fan of IBIS's choice to not use quilt covers, instead opting to use 2 flat sheets on either side of the quilt, which means that ends up moving around a lot and making me a little uncomfortable while trying to sleep...

The staff were so friendly, especially Vicki, the location was awesome. The beds were so comfortable. Given a new room without question when our room was not up to standard. The cafe was a nice place to relax. It's an aging property, but I would book again without hesitation.

The standard twin did not come with a sofa, although the pictures suggested it did. The rooms were comfortable, but aging, which means that the shower screen was dodgy, and my 80YO mother needed rescuing, the bedside lights did not work in our first room, and other patrons commented on them as well. The WIFI could not be accessed on all devices, even in the foyer. One of the lifts did not show the floor number, which was quite confusing for my mother. There was a table in our first room, but only one chair, the second room had no chairs. While we were there I saw two other guests changed to more suitable rooms, and three others complaining about wifi, shower doors, tv remotes, and bedside lights. The staff treated everyone with respect and kindness.

Location was fantastic. Very easy to get an Uber, the nearest tram stop was outside the door, and only 2 blocks from Flinders St Train Station. Very close to multiple coffee options and Woolworths Metro supermarkets and Asian supermarkets. Room was a good size. Bed was a little firm, but I find this comfortable. I looked out over Elizabeth St across the road to the Block arcade and it's beautiful architecture. The Shower cubicle was an ok size, shower water pressure and temperature was excellent. Bathroom sink area could have been a little bigger m but was serviceable. The only down was that there was some tram noise late at night, but this is to be expected with a room that is street front facing. It wasn't an issue for me.

basin size / vanity bench could be a little bigger.
