This is a very centrally located hotel in an interesting and Buzzy part of Melbourne. The room was adequate, and everything was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They gave me a quiet room on the 2nd floor, so I wasn't subject to the night-time noise other reviews mention. There was a small kitchenette area, with small under counter fridge, a stove top, and sink, and basic cutlery & crockery, although only 2 of everything.

The trade off for the quietness of my room, was that it was dark and the fluorescent lighting wasn't very welcoming. One high window looked out into a lightwell in the middle of the building so there was no sunshine and very little natural light. Everything in the hotel is clean, but very dated. There was a microwave in the laundfry room, but I would have preferred a microwave than a stove top in the room itself.

Everything was clean and in a good location - just need to go straight and see Chinatown. The things that I needed to buy were pretty much in the vicinity, and Melbourne Central was just a few walks away. Very nice to wake up in the morning with a big window on the side of the room. There was also an electric cooker I cooked in, which meant that I didn't always need to eat out, I could easily just cook something if I felt like just staying in. Friendly staff, and pretty straightforward information was provided to me before my stay. There was also a self-service laundry. TLDR: Good location, clean amenities and furnitures, and friendly staff. (Cooker was also included).

Nothing much that I could say, really. Except probably for the fact that inside the hotel, there's no source of food or drinks for a quick grab. Other than that, it is all good.

I've stayed here several times. The price, for the location, is amazing. It's a converted office or commercial building, so the layout is a little quirky, but I had a decent sized room and a large bathroom. The refit was done a few years ago, so there are signs of the usual wear and tear, but overall I have to recommend it for an overnight stay in the centre of the city.

Perfect located! You have many Tram and Bus Options. And a train Station is not far neither. Very Central. Lot of restaurants, stores, shopping streets. Just perfect.

Some room may be very loud because of the location and the cleaning service of the city on the streets close by (which was or case) The staff gave us a better room where you did not hear nothing. This Hotel is clean but not really how you expect a hotel to be. There are some corners that have not been cleaned in a period of time. Windows are of of metal and kind of oxidized.

Location so close to Bourke st mall and access to so many tram lines or train from flinders st or Melbourne central. Very good value.Lots of hot water,great airconditioner.Very impressed with house keeping each day.

I had noisy neighbours at times and the last night of my stay there was very noisy construction work in the city with Jack hammering after midnight then again at 5am.Neither the hotels fault.The windows need replacing and sound proofing in general improved. Will definitely stay again

We stayed for one night. Check in was simple and quick, staff were very friendly. The rooms are a bit old but they are clean and nice. This is a budget hotel and for the price I was very happy with it. The location is fantastic, right in the centre of the city with loads of cafes and restaurants surrounding. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags in storage for a few hours which was really helpful. If you're looking for a good hotel in the city for a budget price, I would highly recommend.

friendly staff, great walking distance to restaurants and the event that I was attending. I was happy to know that the front desk was available 24/7 so if I did have an issue they would be able to help. check in and out were easy. good 20min walk from train station, easy to spot.

It is located near some pubs, so if you don't like hearing some rowdy people late at night might not be a recommendation for you. I didn't mind it and it honestly wasn't too bad for the Friday and Saturday night I was there.

The room was clean and comfortable and spacious. Plenty of room to open our bags and sit for a meal. The showers were strong and hot. The kitchen facility was very adequate. The beds were very comfortable.

When we arrived (it was VERY early in the morning but I had checked ahead of time that we could at least check our luggage that early - and hotel confirmed that reception was manned 24/7) the gentleman at the desk refused to let us in the front door ... after much argument he finally let us in and checked our luggage but then we weren't able to communicate our request to check in early if it was possible (he kept insisting check in time 2pm). However we decided to try again after 9am and at that time the lady at reception went out of her way to accomodate our earlier check in. Staff were otherwise very polite and pleasant to deal with.

The location was very central to cbd and trams. Very close to many good restaurants in Hardware Lane. The staff were friendly and very helpful with our requests. e.g. extra pillow and open stuck window. Great modern TV. Brilliant hot water and water pressure. Free WiFi.

No microwave. Not enough cutlery for 2 persons. The soap shampoo dispensers are terrible to use. The reception desk in the advertisement looks nothing like the actual very uninviting box the staff sit in.

Hotel location is in the city center, a lot of places are very walkable. My room was facing the rear side so no noises from the street at the front. Staff at reception are friendly and helpful. Price is great for somewhere central and the room is of decent quality. Bed, bedsheets and linens were clean. Room is warm when i set it to be.

The window blinds could not fully cover the window and there were gaps at the sides, the brightly lit multilevel parking building was shining straight into the room - it was OK for me but those who wants pitch black room to sleep please take note. Also please be reminded that this building/property can be somewhat aged so the actual room and furnishings may look a bit older and worn out compared to the photos.
