The staff were absolutely wonderful and accomodating! I’ve never booked and stayed at a hotel myself, and it was such a breeze of a process. The room was small, but exactly what you need if you’re only staying there to sleep. The staff were so kind and friendly, it was the highlight of the stay, despite only interacting with them when we checked in and checked out.

There is nothing I would deduct points for. The hotel clean, price for the rooms is reasonable. The staff are amazing, I can’t say that enough. Only thing I’d deduct for is location. Location is perfect if you want to be close to everything! It’s brilliant. However, obviously given that it’s across from the station, it can be a little daunting to walk around the area at night. That is at no fault of the hotel, just something to keep in mind if you are planning on booking here.

All the staff were really pleasant and helpful. It was a great location and the bed was really comfortable. We were out for most of the day until 4pm one day and the room hadn't been serviced during that time. We didn't mind as a lot of hotels now are offering eco service where you can choose to reuse your towels and not have your bedding changed every day- an initiative all hotels should be looking at introducing.

The room service menu was really limited which was disappointing and there were no free bottles of water- something we are used to receiving in most good hotels.

The location is fabulous, very close to Flinders Train Station and St Kilda/Swanston Street Trams. It’s an easy walk to Collins Street and Bourke Street Mall, for shopping. The Arts Precinct, Federation Square and SouthBank is an easy 5-10 minute walk. The staff were very helpful and friendly with a very quick check in. The rooms were very quiet, clean and well set out with the beds being extremely comfortable. The breakfast was perfect and there is a good selection of foods to choose from. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

I liked room the food was exceptionally good. Staff at restaurant are extremely welcoming. The reception team very quick to respond on my request on an internet issue i was facing. Though mistake at my end which i eventually corrected the staff from reception herself came down and sent a tech staff immediately when she could not resolve. Very attentive and positive minded staff at hotel.

The view. Also i made a mistake of booking in for 3 days instead of 4 days because my flight was on 5th mirning 2:25 am. I asked for late checkout but was asked to pay for every one hour until my late checkout time. So therefore opted to book for one day extra on the 3rd day but noted that the charges was 249 per night while for 2 nights i paid 351. Please look at this as it really dampened my experience. It was only because of how welcoming your staff was that i am positive about the hotel

Well who wouldn't be happy with a very yummy and welcoming warm cookie on arrival, but with Faith as our hostess on check in it was even better. She was so warm and friendly and couldn't help us enough. Such an easy process. Ahead a couple of hours and the staff at Happy hour in the bar were also outstanding, friendly and full of smiles. The open fire place on such a wintery night was the perfect location for our Friday drinks. Breakfast the next morning was everything we expected and again enjoyed right next to the open fire place, the late check out made a short staycation exceptional for us. Thank you to all the staff who really seem to enjoy their jobs and were the best customer service I think I have experienced since before COVID.

The rooms could be a touch larger - but the space was utilised very well so it wasn't an actual issue - oh and big mugs for coffee in the room. It was a shame to have such an awesome coffee machine and tiny little tea cups :-) But I like large cups so not really an issue just nice to have.

Our room had a spectacular view overlooking the river, Flinders Street station and Southbank with the Arts Centre and the sporting precinct. The night lighting was beautiful, and we were tempted to sleep with the curtains open except for the cold. Such a perfect location for everything!

Nothing really, perhaps the room was a little small but the view made up for it! Having to park up the road was a little annoying but not enough to bother us. We would have loved a late night hot chocolate when we returned but the kitchen had closed by then. A shame, but nothing to complain about though.

I loved the view of Flinders Street station from my room. It was spectacular and great for people watching. It helps that my work are paying otherwise I wouldn't have coughed up the extra dollars myself to have a room with a view. The staff were excellent and the rooms are tastefully decorated. Breakfast buffet was small but quality. The best bit was that you fill out a request form for eggs your way and the staff bring it out. Much better than waiting in a queue for eggs.

I enjoyed it all.

All the staff were friendly and polite and nothing was too much trouble. We felt very welcome. The room much larger than expected (room 815) and was clean and the bed was comfy. Our room was also in a very quiet location so we had no traffic noise etc as our room was at the rear of the hotel (not an amazing view but we weren't in the room a lot and preferred the good nights sleep with no road/train noise). The breakfast was plentiful and we also appreciated the made to order fried or poached eggs or omelette option. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious as was the in room dining. We would stay here again and recommend to others as the location is close to everything - trains, trams, shops, parks, theatres, river etc (very handy to have a chemist next door and woollies a few doors down.

Pillow options - not everyone likes a feather pillow so a choice of feather and foam or similar is always preferred (to avoid neck problems the next morning). The breakfast items under the heat lamps were only ever luke warm. And perhaps some variety in the items offered would have been nice too - when you're staying somewhere for more than a night or two it does become a bit boring to have the same type of pastries and hot items on offer every day (but this is being picky). We really did love our stay and I'm struggling to find any major faults

Double Tree is by far my favourite property for our weekend getaway. The rooms are spacious and beds are so comfortable. Staff throughout are extremely friendly and helpful. Room service was a treat with restaurant quality meals arriving promptly. Best of all… checkout is 12pm which meant I didn’t feel like I was rushing out the door before my eyes could fully open.

If I was to be really picky then the sound proofing isn’t as good as other venues I have stayed. However, it is not terrible, I am just really struggling to find something I didn’t like about the venue.

Directly opposite Flinders St overlooking the Yarra, just amazing. Rooms were very quiet and couldn't hear the trains or traffic below. Staff were beyond helpful and the foyer bar was a nice space to spend a few minutes before we headed out for the night. A perfect place for a short stay right in the heart of Melbourne.

Rooms are really quite small and the bathrooms are smaller than that. There was only one chair even if you did want to watch some TV. The towels were showing signs of wear and tear.
