Very spacious studio and bathroom with a huge spa bath. Facilities exceeded my expectations for the price - in-room washer dryer with provided detergent, gas hobs and basic kitchenware/dishware for cooking and washing dishes, microwave on top of the usual hotel comforts (kettle, TV, iron, etc). Location is amazing in heart of CBD and Chinatown, but quiet and peaceful every night except for Saturday night. Very friendly staff. Unlike airbnb, Punthill provides daily housekeeping too. Overall, great great value for the price.

No receptionist after 9pm so need to get your requests sorted earlier. Beds are on the softer side. Rooms could use more lighting.

Mostly that our reservation was not received by the property & we initially were not going to receive what we booked for which was a 2 bedroom apartment in the end they worked it out but by that stage there was NO onsite parking we had to park offsite in the rain Lighting was very poor no light in the kitchen No light in the room Lounge light was very dim and the only light Couch in the main apartment was old & very uncomfortable

Location is fantastic, in the heart of Melbourne Chinatown. I've been staying at Punthill Apartment Hotel (Little Bourke) over twenty years, and it is a reliable stay for a good rate for a simple appointed room. A clean room; a comfortable bed. There's even two gas hobs in a small kitchenette; and nice O&M toiletries provided.

Don't expect frills: There aren't thrilling balcony city views, a fancy TV, soft lighting with dimmers, nor a reception with ambience. The rooms haven't been updated in years with generic furnishings.

Central location, ease of check in, staff were incredibly helpful, apartment was superb, clean, comfortable well set out. Great amenities and inclusions. Just a really superb little apartment. Washer, microwave, Dryer, nespresso coffee machine. In middle of China town, so central to theatres, Bourke and swanston Street. Everything was within 10 minutes walk. Federation square etc. Little balcony over laneway for fresh air.. again just ideal little piece of peace in the big city. Will be our base for future events.

We had trouble with bath. Tried to have a bath but couldn't change the spout over. The spout was lose on wall.

Central CBD location, public transport at easy walking distance, clean, large comfortable bed, closed in sleeping cubicle for the one bedroom so totally dark and quiet - beautiful sleeping conditions!

Staff was not fully versed on towel policy - exchanged towels every day regardless of placement. I notified management who promised to educate cleaning staff that towel on the floor = change, towel hung up = leave, do not change.

I stayed alone in a studio apartment on the 2nd floor for 12 days. The space and amenities in the studio was just right for me. The bathroom was roomy even with washing machine and dryer. General cleanliness was very good. The small kitchen was adequate for making simple breakfast, sandwiches, and heating up ready meals from the supermarket just around the corner. So it didn’t matter to me that there was just one pot and a frying pan. Also the kitchen sink was quite small so washing up was difficult if one cooked. The toaster and Nespresso machine was very useful. You can get more milk, tea, coffee capsules, dish washing liquid and laundry powder from the reception when you run out of them. And the staff there were always welcoming and helpful.

One shortcoming of the room was the lack of natural light. The floor to ceiling windows weren’t of much good because it was facing a tall wall of the high rise apartment next door. Also the close proximity to the next door apartment meant the window blinds were lowered most of the time. So even if it was sunny outside, it would still be quite dark in the room. Thankfully there was sufficient lights in the room. However, not facing the road meant it was quiet. The other minor annoyance was the shower screen over the tub was too small and the floor will get quite wet after a good shower.

We stayed at Punthill Apartments Little Bourke Street on 2 separate occasions and both times the rooms were beyond our expectations. Lots of space and all the facilities needed. The area is quiet yet within easy walking distance of shopping. We found great restaurants nearby particularly Shanghai Street which had reasonable prices for amazing dumplings! The beds were comfortable with a choice of high or low pillows- which I need! The use of a coffee machine with pods provided was another bonus. The front desk staff were so helpful particularly when I had left and my rings were still on the bedside table!! They gave smiling service- fantastic.

A very silly observation but there weren't enough black teabags! We don't go for the green teas or herbal teas!

This is my first time staying at Punthill and I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable spacious room in the heart of china town. Even the lifts were nice and fast. I'm a regular to the city and have a list of preferred places, this one has now made that list.

This stay was perfect, I am planning to come back a few times, and on the occasions I've looked they only offer more than one night, though I do often stay for single nights if I see a band in the city.

The presentation of the actual building from the outside could be cleaner. I noticed after my days Out that there was a lot of rubbish lying around in the form of cans, bottles, take away containers and paper.In my previous stays before Covid this was not noticeable.

As my home is far from the city I like to come in semi-regularly and will stay in a hotel. I've been coming to this Punthill location regularly now as it's the perfect place at a reasonable price. Room is always clean, comfortable and a desk to work at.

Sometimes on a Friday or Saturday there can be a bit of a rowdy crowd in the street, but that's to be expected and it's not too bad.
