Rooms were very clean and bed comfy, was on levels 10 and then 19 and hardly heard any noise. Diner close by which had good food. Purpose of trip was to go to Australian Open. It’s a little bit of a walk but manageable. Close to Chinatown and a few minutes walk to train station and major shopping centre. 24h 7/11 close by which is convenient.
Had issues with air cond, not working on Level 10, was told it was fixed, it wasn’t, but was moved to level 19. Different staff said slightly different things, but all staff really nice. I can see previous complaints about a/c not working. Just fix it properly guys, save your guests the hassle.

Loved the location. Walkable to city centre, AO Tennis Centre, pubs, cafes, Melbourne Museum. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Asked for a later check-out time - staff happily extended to 11am. We had a king balcony room which was very bright and comfortable. Not huge but enough space for two people. Very reasonable price for 5 nights during peak AO Tennis season. Would be very happy to stay here next time!
Everything was fine - no complaints!

Bed was reasonably comfortable. Room wasn't huge, but big enough for us. Bathroom was very clean and enough room. 'Couch' is a very realistic concession to the fact that people will put luggage on it. Easy to access power and USB either side of bed was great. Blockout curtains worked well. While the layout, furnishings etc are very simple, it's good quality simple.
There was an intermittent noise from the aircon that sounded like heavy rain (like a kind of white noise) that was quite loud. After being disappointed that it wasn't raining (a summer storm would have been welcome), ear plugs did the trick.

Loved the ease of check-in and check-out, very nice and smooth. If you need a great night's sleep, the beds they have are amazing! I felt so snug, I don't know how they made a bed feel so amazing. We couldn't stop gushing about how comfortable they are. Your cleaners are really friendly!
Unfortunately, I went to use the shower and noticed mold all over the shower curtain and the backsplash next to the toilet had not been cleaned which made us feel a bit uneasy regarding how clean our room was. For the amount spent, I didn't expect mold or a dirty backslash. I also feel like the bins in the room need to be a bit bigger but that's an easy fix.

We arrived after midnight and at the end of a 27hr transit from Europe. We were met by Joyce who kindly upgraded us FOC to a quiet room on the 5th floor. Indeed it was a lovely studio room with a balcony, kitchenette and large state of the art smart tv. Warm and comfy with a great bed, we slept uninterrupted for 9 hours… validating Joyce’s decision to relocate us from our initial room selection. All staff were very welcoming and helpful, making our 3 night stay a wonderful return to down-home hospitality. The hotel is located a short walk from China Town, live theatre, world class dining and great shopping.
There was nothing to dislike. Brady Hotel Jones Lane has become our ‘go to’ hotel for quality Melb accommodation for several years now and we are sure to return at the next opportunity.

A quiet location in one of the busiest and coolest areas of the cbd! We loved the boitique hotel ambiance of Brady Hotel Jones Lane. We appreciated the hands-on feel that it had due to it being independently owned by a Melbourne family. Great staff. Room was clean and modern. The bed was perfect for us (a medium softness bed, not too hard nor too soft). We will definitely be staying here again.
We loved the hotel ... but ... The parking was too far away. About 700 metres. Despite loving the hotel, if anything can drive us to another hotel in future, it will be the parking issue. And it's only one entry, one exit. A lot of cbd hotels are set up with parking ie Wilsons, where the hotel charges the per night parking fee and you can then go in and out of the carpark as many times as you want as l ong as you get the validation card from reception each time you go out. Brady Hotel Jones Lane isn't set up that way. Some milk would be nice. After a long day of flights and travel it was a little disappointing to discover we couldn't put our feet up had to go back out to find a supermarket and buy milk.

I really liked the easy check-in, and how friendly the staff are. Based on a previous stay, this time I requested a certain type of pillow because I'm a sensitive sleeper (and sleep is important!!), and was very pleased that it was met without fuss. The personalised welcome note was also a really nice touch. :)
Absolutely no complaints about the hotel itself. But on a Saturday night before Christmas, the street outside was extremely noisy, with rowdy party-goers, people yelling and screaming, and regular police sirens. You expect some of that in a large city, but it was particularly bad that night.

The location was perfect, it was close enough to everything that we saw almost everything we wanted to! I didn't realize how close it was to the state library and that was awesome. The staff though were absolutely perfect - They were super personable and chatted to us whenever we went down to the lobby, even gave us some food recommendations! They were super lovely and let us check in early as I arrived in Melbourne at almost 7am and was exhausted from travel. We only really cared about our room but it was lovely and would definitely stay again.
The only thing we weren't a fan of was the gaps on the balcony - having a spot where you could clearly see down was a bit spooky but it wasn't anything that could be fixed.

Good bed and helpful staff
The trash can was not clean when we arrived. We turned off the A/C but there was a noise coming out of there still. Balcony a little bit dirty too. Amenities are little bottles that were already opened when we arrived instead of being new, it would be better to use refill bottles so it would be less contamination and control. No breakfast available, we already knew that but it would be a nice option

Our room was very modern and clean. The King bed was comfortable. The decor was modern and tasteful. All of the staff were excellent. They made us feel so welcome. Whether it was directions, restaurant recommendations, or a late check out, each and every staff member we dealt with was friendly, efficient, and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel for your next stay in Melbourne.
It was a bit noisy with sound coming in from outside all through the night and morning.
