The staff were just wonderful, especially Harry, Jack and Shane. I was treated with respect and the staff made time to talk to me and I couldnt fault the service. Overall, it was a very rewarding experience.

Its not that I don't like the pool area, I would have loved to have a swim, but there is no protection from the sun anywhere in that area, hence the only time to swim without being bombarded by the sun is early in the morning and late evening. Maybe throughout Summer and early Autumn you could have some umbrellas out, some tables and chairs with an umbrella attached and perhaps a sail cloth or some type of protection over part of the pool during the intense sun hours. I would love that.

Dinner is best thing about this hotel, that said there is lots to recommend hotel too. Dinner in restaurant had very good starters and wonderful main. Service from some staff very engaging, others very quiet. This is an old brick hotel half way through a facelift: my room had lovely wooden furniture, but the walls probably haven't been painted in a few decades; modern looking bathroom on first inspection, but look in the corners and notice the age.

Room fridge just had individual servings of milk. For an Executive room a little mini bar with chocolate and coke wouldn't go amiss. After great dinner, breakfast was disappointing: coffee machine broke twice, when some things ran out (OJ, brown bread) it wasn't replenished.

disappointed to find the restaurant wasn’t open and we were only offered breakfast served in our room I had booked this hotel specifically because it advertised a restaurant and bar.

The locality of The Buckingham was what suited us best - train station nearby, superb shopping centre in the other direction and within easy travel distance to family. Our room was very comfortable with a huge bed and good bathroom facilities. The usual coffee and tea etc plus biscuits.

This is always my one complaint - the lamps are unsuitable for reading by at night especially if you’re moving into the other end of the age spectrum. I had to shift another lamp to my bedside to be able to read in comfort.

Room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was so clean and very refreshing. The breakfast was tasty and great value. All staff from the receptionist to the cleaning staff were so lovely and friendly.

Maybe a few plates or bowls would be good as there was a toaster in the room.

Had the King spa room which is very large and nice and quiet upstairs. Good air conditioning. Even though the room faces the highway, windows are double glazed so hardly any traffic noise. Good spa bath.

Would have rated this property higher if couple of things were better. The bed needs replacing - it is hard and uncomfortable and being in the best room in the motel, should be better. Water pressure in shower was strong, but shower head itself is bad and needs replacing. Water streams out like a garden tap and very environmentally inefficient.

I like feeling welcomed when I stay in accommodation. We had to relocate here after a bad experience at an Airbnb property. Never again will I stay in someone's 'garage' where the toilet is INSIDE the shower cubical. Thank you to Best Western Buckingham for keeping it real.

There is a little bit of water damage on the window of Room 33 so the window didn't close property. It not only lets in the cold air of Victoria but it's also a security risk. That's the only thing I noticed that wasn't that great. Overall, very happy.

Very attentive staff when I needed anything, they were happy to assist from the reception staff, dining staff and the domestic staff. Room was perfectly comfortable and quiet. I was also so relieved when the young man at reception managed to get me a taxicab within 5 minutes to get us to the Moorabbin airport, very much appreciated his no fuss approach when I was so stressed at not being able to get a taxi. So thank you so much people we’ll be more than happy to use your excellent accommodation again.

A bit more cutlery in the room, my granddaughter having had orthodontic work could only eat very soft food so was having noodles, a fork would have been handy. Not a big deal though.

The bed was amazingly comfortable. We were very surprised we couldn't hear the traffic... at all!! The toiletries are far in excess of what one would expect from a Motel. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

A couple of minor cleaning issues, nothing major. If it wasn't for that, we would have given it a 10!!
