Beautiful nature, friendly place to stay. Free travel within Innsbruck. I liked the walk through the forest to town. Rooms were ok.

It would have been useful to be offered more information at check-in. I felt a bit like I had to chase the receptionist to ask for information. However he did give me some useful tips. Otherwise the staff was nice. The bus stop it is a 3-5 minute walk uphill. This may not be much but problematic if you have mobility restrictions or a lot of baggage. There is no lift. The breakfast is ok but I couldn’t eat much because there was no gluten-free option. However the hot chocolate is nice. Hairdryer was missing. For 140 Euro a night I think this should have been provided.

Hard to beat location & views, 10/10 for those aspects! Handy to everything. There’s public buses at the driveway, to take you down to the sights in the city centre or up the hill to a cable car ride to Hungerberg mountain. The city of Innsbruck was offering free public transport with an Innsbruck card ( for tourists staying 2 nights or more) when we stayed, so public transport was easy & free! Buses run every 10mins. No need for a car. We read the reviews about the owners not smiling etc but they are kind, they just have their own mannerisms. The guest house has a warm, homey feel with old world charm. The rooms are quite dated but clean and comfortable. The breakfasts are not as extensive as some hotels provide (no hot food) but it’s still fresh & delicious and there’s a coffee machine. There’s an on-site restaurant for afternoon drinks / meals.

The bathrooms were dated and compact.

Nice location, just outside the city of Innsbruck with easy public bus connection. Nice terrace to have a drink and rest after a day of sightseeing. In house restaurant with good earthy food and efficient service. Simple but good breakfast.

Lack of elevator can be a challenge to some. Quite dated bathroom, very small in size and not very functional. Family run property; the two people we met were efficient but not very hospitable. Long faces, lack of eye contact, abrupt and monosillabic answers made us feel like we were bothering them, or like they were doing us a favor to host us there. One smile would have saved the day.

Wonderful view, exceptionally kind staff. The guest house even provides a pass for public transport. This is customer care at its best. And it encourages the use of public transport rather than irresponsible tourism based on private car use. This is tourism fit for the future.

I really liked my stay. But I don't like Booking. Com's asking of loaded questions. Why do you think it necessary to encourage negative reviews? A question for Booking.Com to answer - wonder if you will!!

Amazing location with heavenly view, delicious breakfast and coffee, good choice of restaurant meals, very calm and quiet (all I could hear in night was sound of river), very nice stuff (however, not really keen to talk english), pleasant elderly guests. The place had cottage-like vibes which you'll appreciate if you come to Innsbruck to explore nature, not to spend time in your room.

Stuff do not like to talk in english, but we understood each other. The place is a little bit old, but everything worked just fine and I liked the atmosphere.

Before arrival, the staff aided us in receiving an Innsbruck Welcome Card, which gave us free use of public transport in and around the city for the 7 days of our stay. This proved very useful to get to and from the city of an evening, allowing us to relax and enjoy a meal and drinks. The bus stop to the city is only a short walk down the hill and the bus stop on return is at the top of the driveway to the Gasthof. The balcony of our room gave an unrivalled view of the City and the mountains beyond. I spent time relaxing on the balcony and the view never got boring, as it changed depending on the time of day and weather. The continental breakfast was a more than adequate start to the day and the dining area was pleasant and well kept. The bed linen and towels were changed several times through the week and the mattress was very comfortable. We ate an evening meal only once at the Gasthof, but it was delicious and great value for money. The highland cows kept on the property were a delight to watch, with 2 day old calves spotted frolicking around near their mother. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely book again when we next visit Innsbruck.

It should be noted that tea making facilities are not provided, but this is common when staying in the area. We brought a travel kettle along, as we like to drink coffee upon waking, but the coffee provided at breakfast was very nice.

Lovely setting, out of town but easily accessible by bus. Well placed for walking in the hills. Friendly staff who helped out and provided travel card for busses on arrival.

The room was big and clean with an incredible view from the balcony. The location is very nice, a bit off from the city center, halfway up in the mountains/woods - but it's very easy to get back and forth by bus. Lots of hiking trails nearby, nice breakfast and very adequate facilities.

In the weekend there was music coming from somewhere nearby quite late into the night.

I liked the view from Gasthof. Also I had a small hike to the mountains so the location of the accommodation was very good for that. Even though the hosts didn't speak English very well, they were really kind and tried to help as well as they can.

The facilities was a bit old in Gasthof - they are not updated since the place is opened. The toilet was a bit far away on the corridor, not in the room and there was no sink and the light didn't work properly. The sink was in the bathroom of the room. Also there was a smell of a cigarette in the room I got.

The location is perfect, you can see whole city and mountains on opposite side of the valley from window, hiking routes start from hotel door literally and you can get to the center of the city in 5 min by bus which is free
