Everything was perfect. The hotel is located in the center, friendly hotel staff, clean hotel. You can get to the hotel in 10 minutes on foot from the train station. There is a tram and bus stop just 1 to 2 minutes away from the hotel. Especially, the view from the hotel's transparent elevator is really beautiful. Likewise, the view from the hotel breakfast restaurant will leave you unforgettable memories.

There is only one improvement I would like to suggest to the hotel. The Wi-Fi signal is really good to the hallway, but the signal is weak inside of room even it's still connected.

Avant garde frontage hides a beautiful place to stay in the heart of the city. The first “actual” double bed I’ve had after a week in Austria, with perfect pillows to match. Hence my first decent night’s sleep in a week! The breakfast is unrivalled, both the beautiful presentation of the fresh fruit and all other delicacies and also the staff, who are the best of the best and make everyone feel at home.

Motorcycle parking shouldn’t cost EUR16. Just set aside a difficult corner and welcome your two-wheeled guests at an appropriate rate. All the other hotels we have used in Austria have found a mutually beneficial solution!

The PENZ continues to be my favourite hotel. The breakfast is exemplary and is in a class unto itself. A copious assortment of fruit, breads, jams, eggs, Weißwurst, fish, fresh juice, made to order hot drinks and more makes the buffet the best of its class. The location is in the town centre in easy walking distance from the usual attractions (train station, high street, golden roof). Since my last visit a sauna has also been made available as guests can take advantage of a nearby partner hotel's facilities at no cost. This is not the cheapest hotel by any means but is a solid 4 star hotel that lives up to and has earned each and every one of its well deserved stars. If you wish to treat yourself then look no further and do yourself a favour, don't miss breakfast!

The only notpick I can offer is that the breakfast is a bit weak on the hot food featuring eggs, bacon, sausage, is by itself fairly typical (although the inclusion of the tirolian speacialty Weißwurst is a welcome treat). The inclusiuon of additional hot foods or made to order omlettes would be welcome but this is minor. The scrambled eggs themselves are already delicious, I suspect they add cheese but they a fair bit better than most other scrambles I've had (including my own).

Requested a double bed but it was two twin beds joined which kept drifting apart and creating gap which was bad. breakfast 25 euros per person per day is a rip off and they don’t even let you sit near the window, I saw biased treatments towards some other hotel guests whom they escorted. the reception staff is great but some staff like the one at the breakfast area no smiles rude intact got into the lift with us and pressed rooftop bar so no smile no greeting nothing weird and cold.

This is my favourite hotel in the world. I have traveled to Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America, and this remains my very favourite hotel. The staff is always friendly and professional. The hotel is well-appointed and clean. The bathtub in the room is huge and perfect after a long day of traveling or sightseeing. The breakfast is the best breakfast at any hotel I have ever had. I specifically plan my travel in Europe around a stay at the Penz.

I have no suggestions for improvement.

Great location, in the heart of historic district. Very modern with great amenities. The rooftop bar with fantastic views. Very friendly staff.

great location. it is near the old town, the river and the center. There is a small shopping mall on the left and a small playground on the right. there is a parking underground that has an entrance to the hotel and you can get a discounted price if you stay in the hotel. the rooms are fine with a modern touch.

we did not get the rooms with the king beds as we selected while booking. even though we have highlighted this to the receptionist. we got the double twin beds instead. it was not comfortable for the kids. as i had 3 children under the age of 10 who shared the bed. also, the rooms were not cleaned everyday the way they should have been. the empty tissue boxes were not replaced. the floor was not cleaned or mopped. only the used towels were replaced and the trash bins were cleared.

The location is unbeatable, everything looks fresh and new. We also appreciated discounts for mountain elevators and free tickets for city transport including bikes (even though we didn't use them at the end). The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Parking could be free. And breakfast can be cheaper. For €25 one can have a decent breakfast in the city and still keep some money.

The location is fantastic as it is steps from all the main sites in Alstadt and is a building back from Marie Theresa Street. The facility is beautiful, clean, comfy and modern. The breakfast is located on the 5th floor with floor to ceiling views surrounding you, and the food was delicious with a great variety. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. We absolutely loved our stay and would gladly come back to the Penz again.

I wish it had a gym.

The breakfast was very good very good very good.

Our car was parked in the hotel's designated parking lot. A Mercedes Benz ran into our car when it was parked. We stayed on the spot and went to the hotel with photos and car numbers. The hotel staff told us that we had to find the parking lot by ourselves. The car park staff told us that the Mercedes is the owner of the hotel. In the end the boss came late and made no apology, just thought it was okay. When he moved his car, there was a deep mark on my car. We are going to continue the trip, and we can only consider ourselves unlucky.
