The location is in the centre of Innsbruck, within walking distance of almost everywhere you'd want to go, and buses and trams are close by for everywhere else. Despite being in the centre, the hotel is on a quiet side street, so noise is no problem, (although the city centre is on the flight-path for the airport). The breakfast buffet is possibly the best I've seen anywhere, and I've seen quite a few. We stayed for seven nights and for the first four our room was good. However, maintenance work need to be carried out on that floor, so we were moved to a suite on another floor for the rest of our stay, which was excellent. Possibly the best thing about the Penz though is the staff. Every member of staff we dealt with was friendly, helpful, professional and a pleasure to deal with.

There really was nothing at all we didn't like.

I spent 8 nights here. It must be the best hotel in Innsbruck. Luxurious bed and linens. Quiet.Stunning hard wood floors. Designer touches through out the rooms and common areas.Two high speed elevators -although hotel has only 5 floors. Location:30-second walk to the main historical square in Old Town. Row of available cabs 100 yards from the hotel front door. Breakfast is as comprehensive as those seen in Dubai's best luxury hotels.Everything imaginable from fresh blueberries,strawberries,mangos,etc.; (in the dead of winter!),fresh grain breads;soy,oat,almond milk,etc. The restaurant offers a stunning view of the snow-covered mountains-magical . Hotel has many employees -so never a wait for anything in restaurant or at front desk. If booked far in advance the hotel is very reasonably priced. Excellent value!!!!!!

Breakfast buffet is absolutely the highlight of this hotel's services. Huge variety of fresh fruit, cereals and toppings, toast and preserves, cheeses, meats, juices, and a few warm dishes (eggs, sausages, bacon), as well as some menu items (I think? I never needed to ask). Two stand-outs in service - Ren(?) from reception. So friendly, helpful, funny and welcoming. Immediately fantastic first impression; and the maitre'd(?)/ man in suit upstairs in the restuarant. Very kind, welcoming and calming presence. The room was more basic than the photos (lighting and ambience gives a different vibe online), but it was fine. Location was handy for us as we were going to the hospital downtown twice a day. Some nice restaurants, shops and cafes around. Walkable into the town center. Due to unforseen circumstances of our emergency stay, my mother and I received truly exceptional support and service, I couldn't have asked for a better experience, given that I was not in Innsbruck on holiday. From the 4th floor you can hear restaurant furniture organisation around 5am. Not too bad, just FYI :)

Location, breakfast quality and huge variety of choices. I did also like the service with the waiters as they were very polite and providing food upon request. Place was clean overall. Easy access to the hotel from underground carpark at reasonable price.

Bathroom sink and tap was very uncomfortable with the hot and cold separated adjustments and the actual sink structure. It would have been enough to just have the traditional sink and tap. Luggage holder/table missing in the bedroom for the price paid is expected sorry. Light switches dated and not fully functional as the one in the bathroom broker the night before our departure. Phone charges only on one side of the bed.

Staff is excellent and the location is easy to get to from the autostrada and it’s right in the centre of the city. The breakfast is exceptional and worth investing in. There is a wide selection and is all fresh and tasty. There breakfast lounge Stays open until 1200, which is a big plus. The rooms are super clean and actually have storage; toiletries are provided and my room had a bath and a shower, which is a treat for me. It’s also attached to a huge underground car garage, which makes life easy if you drive.

There were no public toilets, which I thought odd for a hotel. The bed was way too hard for me, but that’s personal preference. I arrived after a 4 hour car journey and really needed a snack before dinner. The bar was open but no food available. I think at least some bar snacks should be available for guests. A boot drying area would be useful too.

Reception was excellent, helpful and welcoming . (Joshua, thanks). Rooms were clean, quiet modern with a nice view. Breakfast was exceptional, we have never seem anything like it. the sheer number of items available from tropical fruits I had never tried, to breads, pastries, yogurts and jams. The list goes on. A huge selection of each. And, a welcome change from other hotels, the coffee actually tasted good to. Manager clearly cares and works hard himself. Most of the staff does too. Views from the breaksfast room are amazing.

A couple of staff in the breakfast room below par. in particular the lady who attempted to manage seating, was in efficient but worse, continuously rolling her eyes (etc) when following the manager. this shoudl not happen in front of guests.

Prime location, right by the old town and the river. Buffet breakfast is wonderful - wide variety of fresh fruits, different kinds of yoghurt, deli, cheese, bread etc on offer - I was so full from breakfast that I skipped lunch most days. The views from the restaurant/bar area are to kill for - you are breaking fast surrounded by snow capped mountains. Rooms are clean, have opening windows, and beds are on firmer side (which I personally loved). Wonderful staff who are always smiling and cheerful.

No English news channel on offer (no BBC, Al Jazeera etc)

I recently stayed at The Penz Hotel in Innsbruck, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few notable highlights. The location is excellent, offering easy access to the old town and main attractions, which made exploring the city incredibly convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, ensuring I felt well taken care of. The rooftop bar is a definite standout, with stunning views and expertly crafted cocktails – a perfect spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was also enjoyable, though I found the hot food options a bit limited.

On the downside, my room on level 1 had a rather disappointing view of a wall, despite the booking.com listing mentioning mountain and city views. Additionally, the bathroom layout felt a bit odd and could have been more functional.

Warm welcoming and friendly reception. Paperless - doing the check-in and out electronically. The room is comfortable, and had both a bath and a shower. I could see some of the Inssbruck mountains from my room. Window of the room could open.The variety at the breakfast table was great. Overall very friendly assistance in the breakfast room.

The room was located at a side of the hotel where there was early morning and evening noice outside of bottle collections. The chair (round seat) for working at the desk was not comfortable without a back support if one has to sit (and work) long hours. There should be communication between the hotel and Booking.com when the hotel bill is settled at the hotel on departure to release the hold of the deposit in one's bank account since arrival day, up till this day - one week after departure.

Super location, 5 min walk to almost everything. Quiet even though my room looked over a square. Big room. Good toiletries - moisturiser, shampoo, body wash (no conditioner), vanity pack, shower cap.

The curtain did not reach the ledge so let a lot of light in, could see around the room clearly as soon as the sun started rising. The Air Con was not cool enough even turned up as much as possible and left on, and it was only 23 degrees outside. Room a bit basic - would have been nice to have a complimentary water in the room upon arrival. The bathroom sink taps are very hard to grip and use once hands are wet.
