Staff was very pleasant, breakfast was great. Room was large and pleasant.

No elevator to transport luggage, only minor inconvenience. No AC but most nights were cool enough so not too bad. Construction directly across from room windows. We were awakened earlier than expected with the noise. Without AC, windows had to be left open so no way of reducing noice. Not the fault of the hotel just an inconvenience to be right outside of our window.

Our family stayed in the Hotel Haus Arenberg for a week. The hosts are very nice and kind people. The hotel is beautifully refurbished with clean, white and wooden modern uncluttered design I loved. This is how I would finish my apartment if it were up to me. We got a "suite" - an apartment with a kitchenette and a balcony that has a stunning view of the Alps. It was pleasantly spacious for the three of us, as opposed to a hotel room we normally book which then feels cramped. Here we had no problem whatsoever to put our big open suitcases on the floor and they still weren't in the way. And the price was the same as for a room elsewhere, that is why we chose this hotel. Also, the location very close to the city centre was our top reason to choose this hotel. I personally don't like hotel carpets as they are next to impossible to keep clean and free from allergens; here you have clean, new vinyl wooden-like flooring. This hotel apartment was the nicest I have stayed in in my 50 years of life. (I also appreciated the mosquito screens in the windows so you can open the windows without risking any insects flying in.). I fully recommend booking the breakfasts buffet too as you will be empowered for the day and can have lunch or dinner later in the town or so.

We had the perfect weather. Sunny but not hot. I suppose 95 % of the time of the year the following would NOT be an issue, but should there be a heatwave, it would probably be uncomfortable a bit that there is no AC. (For wintertime there are heaters.) On the other hand, the silence thanks to the lack of the AC, and the clean air outside the windows are marvellous.

Excellent location in a very quiet area and at the same time close to the city center even by feet. Very friendly hosts. Incredible clean, cleaning every day, sometimes even twice:). Authentic atmosphere, very nice library and dining room. Magnificent view of the mountains. There is a kettle in the room. Private parking is free. The room has bathrobes, slippers, and a set of toiletries.

Quite a modest and monotonous breakfast, no hot or cooked dishes at all. After all, the room is not cheap and for that kind of money it would be possible to feed guests better.

We were met with a warm welcome and the room was far better than we expected. We had booked a suite not realising there was a full kitchen and a washing machine. The views were spectacular from the balcony and I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was large and great for a family of 4 and had recently been refurbished to a high standard. The hotel is located down a very quiet street within a 15min walking distance to Salzburg and all its sights. The property has free parking which is a bonus too.

We asked for breakfast (we had booked room only) on the first day and when we arrived there was very little food left, no plates, cutlery etc. The lady running the business was doing the best job she could but she did say she was short staffed. She was staffing the reception, stocking up the breakfast buffet and trying to cook eggs all at the same time and it was just too much for her. We only found out eggs were available when we overheard another guest asking. I am sure the breakfast is usually great but it was left a little disappointing on that particular day and was the only disappointment during the stay. I hope she has managed to find help.

The hosts are very kind and helpful. We enjoyed the picturesque view of the mountains from the panoramic dining room, where we had an excellent breakfast. It is located within walking distance from downtown, the neighborhood is quiet, and we were able to park our car comfortably at the hotel.

We couldn't ventilate the bathroom, so there was a lot of condensation on the window and window sill because of the winter cold, so you couldn't put things on it, and otherwise there was little space to put our things.

The location of the hotel is excellent. In 15 minutes walking distance you can reach the old town of Salzburg where many tourist attractions are located like Festung Hohensalzburg or Mozart's birth place in the Getreidegasse. The hotel has free parking space right in front of the building. We had a studio with two comfortable rooms. The surrounding is quiet because it is a few meters up Kapuzinerberg. You are in the middle of Salzburg but the view from the balcony was all green. The breakfast buffet was very good, we did not miss anything. This was surprising because the hotel is rather small, so we assumed a limited selection. A few minutes from the hotel is a bus stop for trips farther away like the Zoo. TLDR: It was a really pleasant stay

Staff, big rooms, amenities, parking, and being able to watch Netflix on one of the TVs were great!!!! Location was good, but not great!

Breakfast was from 7-10:30. With the exception of 1st day, we were there around 9, but most stuff was gone! Example : cheese, cold meat, and pastries.

Welcoming staff, clean room , comfortable beds ,triple room outlay good ,adequate space for 3 adults, one bed and sofabed separated for some privacy, excellent breakfast with varied choices, shout out to Kristine, for friendly breakfast service. Walking distance to center about 1.3 km easy /scenic walk. Free parking.

A bit tricky to find the hotel, hidden, narrow streets leading to it. Bathroom has no exhaust but can unlock small opening to outside.

We loved the second story view and balcony from our room. The view over the city was peaceful and quiet. The property is not in the heart of the city (which we loved for its quiet location). Still only a 7 minute walk to things was very convenient.

A nice small hotel in a quiet and green place, yet a 15-minute walk from the city centre, with a private parking. We had a spacious, comfortable room with all necessary amenities + a coffee set and a small fridge. Lovely breakfast – no warm section (eggs etc.), but otherwise plentiful selection of good quality food, including vegetable salads, fresh cheese spreads, fruit etc. etc. Attentive owner and staff.

To reach the hotel by car, one must break the traffic rules and go to a one-way road in the wrong direction. There's really no other possibility. We were a bit confused by that, but apparently, drivers in the area know the situation and are ready to reverse if needed.
