A fabulous hotel fully justifying its high ranking on tripadvisor. The staff cannot do enough to help, the room is clean and spacious and its situation close to the river and just twenty mins from the centre is excellent. Breakfast was excellent but even better is the fact that you can take it in the beautiful garden which was the perfect start to the day.

While located in a super safe and quiet area of the town it was one for few places we stayed that we couldn't walk to from the rail station. That said it was easy enough in the taxi which cost 15 euros. I would have given 10/10 but it was very warm when we stayed and the room does lack air con. We were provided with a fan but the first night in particular was very uncomfortable. Also, whilst there is a communal fridge with drinks to purchase there isn't a fridge in the room to cool your own water. Add these two and the Little Guesthouse would be perfect.

I absolutely LOVED my stay. I was made to feel welcome straight away when Tina greeted me (even though I was a little early for check in) and showed me where everything is. All the staff are so helpful. The breakfast is tasty with cereals, eggs, breads, pastried, salads etc and there is tea/coffee available all day. and cake! Plus there is a bar/fridge with very reasonably priced drinks. The garden is lovely - relaxing and quiet. The guesthouse is about 20mins walk from all the action in the centre which I really liked. You can walk to the centre along the river or use one of the bikes the guesthouse will let you borrow for your stay. So easy. My room was a single on the top floor so it wasn't huge but I knew that in advance and the price reflected it. I found it cosy and not too hot (they give you a huge fan!). I enjoyed chatting to some of the other guests but there is no need to do this if you don't want to! Huge thanks to Tina for being so great. I will defintely stay here again if I can make it Salzburg for a follow up visit.

We loved The Little Guesthouse from the moment we arrived! The location is good being far enough from the city centre to be peaceful but near enough for a pleasant walk in (and the area felt very safe). The garden is lovely and the rooms feel luxurious in an understated way. Breakfast was perfect with a good choice of fresh ingredients. We enjoyed making use of the free guesthouse bikes. To top all this Constanze and Mario are the loveliest of people and perfect hosts! A shining example of how every good guesthouse should be run.

The place was perfect!

This was an exceptional "bed and breakfast." It was in a quiet residential neighborhood, but only ten to fifteen minutes walking distance from the Altstadt of Salzburg. The owners were extremely helpful in (1) allowing early check in, (2) showing us on maps how to get to key sites, (3) recommending great restaurants for our evening meals, and (4) providing excellent service. The guesthouse yard was very conducive to relaxing and to eating outside meals or having a glass of wine. The outside weather was very hot, so a room fan was provided for us without our asking. The whole experience was very welcoming!

There wasn't really anything we didn't like or appreciate. Our room was on the third floor and there was no elevator. But that was no problem for us, since we are in good shape (although it could be a problem for others.) I can't say we didn't like the absence of an elevator, because we knew about it in advance. For us, taking luggage upstairs was just another form of exercise - as was walking throughout Salzburg.

Himmlisch!!! (or heavenly, for English speakers). This sums up our experience at the superb Little Guesthouse and in the city of Salzburg. The beautifully maintained, elegant house and grounds are located in a peaceful, walkable, and stylish neighborhood just minutes south of the downtown and all attractions. Each evening we walked two short blocks to the tree-lined path along the Salzach River, with its views of the historic city and snow-covered Alps in the distance — and excellent nearby restaurants. Our room was tastefully appointed, spacious, and quiet, with a lovely view of the outdoor patio. The breakfast offers abundant choices of delicious, fresh bakery and morning foods — with cake and drink available all day long. The hosts, Constanze and Mario, are welcoming, friendly, helpful, and a joy to be around. Everything they created at Little Guesthouse is gemütlich — cozy and a little bit of heaven — for visitors to this spectacular city.

What a wonderful little oasis in Salzburg. Just a short walk through a park and along the river to the old town, this property is located in a quiet location away from the town’s hustle and bustle. Breakfast was wonderful and the property has a kitchen/dining area that is accessible 24 hours. Tea, coffee, snacks and other beverages were always available. The reasonably priced wine and beer were purchased by simply writing your purchase down on a sheet. Delicious cake was available- gratis- every afternoon. Mario, his wife and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Their English was very good, and I suspect just one of several languages spoken.

The Little Guest House is situated in a quiet residential area in an elegant Salzburg building. We were warmly welcomed, given helpful information and offered drinks and cake on arrival. The coffee is excellent and always freely available to guests (as is the cake!). There was also an honesty system for other drinks such as wine and beer. Our room was exactly as described and was spotlessly clean, comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was excellent with many choices including fresh fruits, breads, cheese, meats, cakes and other high quality options. The pleasant walk into town took about 15 minutes alongside the river Salzach, past a park with a small lake with great views of the Fortress Hohensalzburg on one side and the Kapuzinerberg on the other. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay here and would love to return.

I originally booked my stay for 2021. With Covid protocols, I didn't want to risk getting sick abroad so I postponed my trip to Dec 2022. It was worth the wait! I arrived to Salzburg by train and took the bus to the Little Guesthouse. Sabine emailed me with step by step directions. When I arrived, Mario checked me in and was very kind. I came to Austria mostly for the Christmas Markets and he made sure I knew how to find them! The Guesthouse is a located in a residential area and I took the bus everywhere I went. It wasn't difficult at all taking the bus and I only had to wait a few minutes. Google Maps will be your friend! Also, great breakfast spread. Lisa was always nice in the morning and would offer me a soft boiled egg. Honestly, I loved it. The room had a bottled water, a chocolate wafer, and a tin full of little treats. Oh, and their breakfast area has cake! I hope to come back in the spring or fall and see their garden! Thank you Mario and team for being so kind. You have a beautiful house and it was worth every penny.

The house is very nice and exactly looks like in the pictures. The room was superb, very clean and cosy. The hosts are friendly, helpful and very kind people. Breakfast is also great, there different types of bread, veggies, meat, youghurt and some sweets as well. The location is quiet, it is not in the centre but very close (15 min walk), free parking in front of the house can save you some money and time. Get the Salzburg Card and you can enter the main museums and access the public transport for free! Overall we would highly recommend The Little Guesthouse!
