All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, they are very invested in their guests. On Christmas eve they arranged for a singer and musician to play in the lounge which was delightful. Amazing cooked breakfasts, beautiful spread of pastries which was not always needed for our party of three. The lounge and bar spaces are ideal for spending time in away from the bedroom - we were there for Christmas and it was lovely to be able to go down to open presents etc by the fire. Very good size of bathroom with lovely products.

The two-floor layout of our room would be perfect for a couple but, travelling with our daughter, she took the upper 'sitting room' area which left or bedroom space a little small.

We had a wonderful special occasion stay. The service at the HVC was absolutely outstanding. The staff showed us all top notch kindness and hospitality that you would see at a 5 star hotel. The location was perfect and walkable to everything. It was quiet during a very busy weekend in Brugge. The hotel design and decor was beautiful throughout. We loved the upscale toiletries and the hotel room furnishings. The outdoor patio overlooking the canal will remain one of my fondest locations in Europe throughout my life. The breakfast spread (that we enjoyed on said patio) was really delicious. This is such a special place! Book it, you won't be sorry!

We traveled with friends and our whole party reported of poor mattresses in our rooms. There was a hump in the middle of each single bed that they had pushed together to make a King. Unfortunately none of us slept great on the beds. A hotel of this caliber should likely consider changing them out for new / more comfortable mattresses. However, this didn't deter us from having an excellent stay

The hotel is outstanding. Also, the room size is excellent and hotel facilities such as lounges and bar are amazing. The hotel has around 27 rooms and my room was with canal view and it was excellent. They have car parking behind the hotel and it is not free & you do not need a car as everything is 2 min walk. The hotel staff were very nice and friendly and provided all needed information and support. They provided a map for the city and marked the most visited places by tourists in Bruges and explained the hotel history and city history. I will definitely come back to Van cleef hotel in my next visit to Bruges.

This hotel is beautiful and the welcome we received was exceptional. All the staff throughout our stay were wonderful and helpful and gave us great restaurant recommendations (which was useful because you are spoilt fpr choice in Bruges!) The location as well is brilliant - a little bit out of the hustle and bustle but walkable to everywhere. We would return and will be (and already have!) recommending to everyone.

This hotel is stunning. It is very exclusive with access only available to the residents where there are 17 rooms only. It is like walking into an art gallery, with beautiful furnishings, artwork and sculptures. We had a room with a canal view which was fantastic. The attention to detail was amazing. The area was also super quiet at night and only a very short walk to the centre of the city. The staff were amazing and so thoughtful and attentive. We were treated so well from before we checked in till checkout and our taxi to the station and home.

Everything was amazing. There was nothing big too like.

Breakfast was a delight! The food was delicious and the atmosphere extremely relaxed and calm. The staff were attentive to our every need and very discreet. We were very kindly given complimentary champagne on our arrival in a beautiful relaxed room before being shown to our bedroom which was exquisitely decorated, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable.

There is nothing that could have improved our stay at this hotel.

The property is simply heaven, you feel at home rather than the formal feeling of being in a hotel. It’s very Cousy and charming, such a romantic place for couples. What added to the beauty of the place is the breakfast, the dinning area has the most beautiful view on the canal and the chief is one of a kind.

This hotel also met my expectation as I am so found of remarkable historical places. This boutique hotel is made of stunning art that takes you to that period and makes you want to come again to live this elite experience again.

This hotel is exceptional, it’s beautifully designed, very relaxing and in a great location for enjoying all that Bruges has to offer. We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite and it was very comfortable. It had a jacuzzi bath and a shower and a Nexpresso machine & tea making facilities. The breakfasts were delicious and the outside terrace was fabulous for breakfast, a drink or afternoon tea. The owners and all the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again

The hotel is in a superb location, on a canal near the centre and the tourist sites but slightly off the beaten track so it was also very quiet. The breakfast was superb in a beautiful dining room. The interiors of the hotel were exceptional. The staff were attentive without being overly familiar. There was a small bar which was lovely. The concierge recommended and booked two fabulous restaurants for us and also organised an excellent city guide

Beutiful elegant hotel whit a rich history which dates back 600 years. Everything is beautifully presented throughout the hotel . Great location not in a noisy crowded street with a beautiful terrace on the canal. Very Helpful, friendly and attentive staff. We have immediately felt welcomed. Our room was spacious with an upstairs loft. Breakfast was delicious ,fulfilling and fresh. Served with over the top tiered tray of pastries and bread. We have really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Would not hesitate to recommend .
