Great value for money. Small B&B. Very friendly staff and great compl breakfast with juices and expressive machines, cold cuts, fruits, and pastries. Location very close to the market square.

The room is small. We are a family of four so it is a bit tight. This is nothing about the hotel but booking.com in which I got a spam message FROM within the BOOKING.COM app telling me my room may be cancelled and next to click on a link to confirm credit card info. Since I recently updated my credit card on the booking.com site I fell into it. My phone got hacked!! Beware if you received similar spam messages from the booking.com system.

The location a bit away from the center of town was great because it was quiet, but also a 5min walk away from all the sights. The room was super comfortable and the decor of the inn with all the swans is beautiful. Check in was super easy and wifi was great. A big bonus was the breakfast. Yes it's a continental breakfast but it's a really great one with tons of options for pastries, breads, meats, fruit, and beverages. Staff was a also lovely.

Only good things. Power went out one night but there was a phone number of another hotel to call where the person on duty could help us.

Excellent buffet breakfast, central location ideal for exploring Bruges on foot. Friendly, helpful staff. G

The bathroom area was spacious with very efficient shower but offered nowhere to hang towels etc and no flat surface at all on which to place items such as toiletries, spongebags, etc. Towels inevitably became wet and needed daily replacement - not environmentally friendly! Shower cabin itself was roomy but slippery when wet with no grabrail. Handbasin was too small. All these issues could be easily resolved!

This is a beautiful hotel in the most perfect location. Nestled right next to some of the most expensive hotels in the city, the Black Swan provides an affordable place with 5-star location. The hotel is historic and there is a charming squeak in the floor boards. The room is very comfortable.

Above me was a party crowd, which I would never have expected from a boutique hotel. And I am sure the hotel had no idea that this would happen because they likely would have refused to book that group had they known (at least I believe this to be the case). Still, it was hard to get assistance after hours but it was possible. It would be good to have "house rules" posted (essentially no parties), and better instructions on how to obtain assistance. I did learn of the after 22:00 quiet hours in all of Belgium through Google. That said, the hotel management made good on my complaint and did everything to satisfy me. Just please print out the hotel rules and put them in the rooms.

Breakfast at the top, hearty and at will. The buffet was diversified and renewed all the time. The coffee was really good and renewed regularly. Tables cleaned systematically and the tablecloth replaced with each customer. Top notch hospitality as well. We had the misfortune to have works in the street during our holidays.

I'm super sensitive to noise. There were works in the building next to the hotel, the streets of Brugges are still paved in the old way which increases the noise of the cars tenfold. But all this is not the responsibility of the Blak Swann and we will return. We were close to all the splendours of Brugges, which we visited on foot. The restaurants in the surrounding area are numerous and welcoming. The professionals all speak at least 3 international languages.

Very nice hotel. We stayed at the top floor, in the 4-person room. Heating was working nicely. Hot water was available at all times from the faucets. They provided a kettle in the room, which was very handy. There is also a safe in the room fro valuable belongings. The reception is not always open bur you can enter anytime via code provided. Breakfast was very delicious and staff were friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the main square where Belfort is. I'd recommend to anyone, especially big friend groups.

If you have heavy luggage, it might be hard for you to take it upstairs as there is no elevator due to the old building. Stair steps were very narrow but these are very small complaints.

We stayed downstairs in the ‘basement’ (it’s not below ground, just a few steps down, they just call it that!). Our bedroom was beautifully decorated with the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on other that my own! The bathroom was stunning with a large and powerful shower. Would have been nice to have a window in the bathroom but that wasn’t the end of the world. Large fab was in the room which was useful on warm nights. Breakfast was small, but perfect to set you up for the day. The usual pastries, deli meats, cereal and fruit.

Couldn’t sleep with our windows open as we were ground floor, also had to close the curtains every time we got changed or got out the shower. Not the end of the world though.

Breakfast was very nice, not particularly huge in selection, but everything was fresh, tasty and of good quality. The breakfast room wasn't very big, but the small courtyard was an excellent bonus. Hotel is extremely cozy and our room was beautiful. We did need to climb a few steep stairs, but not a problem for anyone with good legs. Location was excellent on a peaceful side street right in the centre of Brugge. Staff was very kind and helpful.

There's no air-conditioning in the rooms, so they tend to get hot during the day, but at least the family room had a lot of windows and it was easy to cool down the room in the evening.

The location and staff is what set this hotel apart. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from town center. It is located in a perfect spot so you are about 10-15 minutes away from almost every attraction! The staff are also super friendly and very accommodating.

The room itself was very musty and the air was stale. We know it is an older hotel, so that is to be expected. We were able to open the window, so that helped. Breakfast was also very minimal, and not a lot of options.

Lovely room/facilities and great breakfast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The airline had lost my luggage and the staff helped ensure I could retrieve it when it was delivered after hours. The only slight disappointment was that the water in the hot tub was not hot and staff wasnt able to fix it. My mother stayed here too and was able to have a room on the first floor which was extremely helpful as there are a lot of steps to reach other rooms. I would stay here again!
