The location was very close to Gent Sint Pieters Train Station and trams/buses. The hotel has a lift. The gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and gave us tips on how to travel around Ghent. WiFi was fast at 260mpbs! Rooms were clean and there's daily housekeeping. We had a good view of the train station. There were several reviews about the rooms smelling of heavy cooking from the Nepalese restaurant downstairs but we were lucky to not experience that.

This is technically a 3-star hotel but felt more like a 2-star due to the age of the fit out. Duct tape was used to hold the TV decoder in my room. Water pressure in the shower was low.

The hotel is 3 minute walk from train station, but half an hour to the main attractions in centre. Had kettle for tea and coffee, had complimentary bottle of water. Spacious, clean, had everything that's needed, great bathroom.

Beds are a bit too soft for my preference. Didn't find a hairdryer but maybe it needs to be specially requested. On 2nd night got no sleep because there were a lot of drunk loud neighbours in the next room and in corridor even ear plugs didn't help. We told them to be quiet but it was useless, should have called the police.

Arriving and departing Ghent via train, this hotel was ideally located less than 2 minutes' walk from the railway station. Staff were friendly and helpful. I had a nice room overlooking the plaza in front of the railway station. The Nepalese meal in the adjoining restaurant was very good indeed.

The only issue - and it's a VERY small one - is that the elevator does not open directly on to the first floor, so after exiting the elevator, I had to carry my luggage up a short flight of stairs to my door level.

Good hotel, for me perfect location - just opposite central station and close to conference center (30 min walk to city center). Nepal restaurant in the hotel (managed by hotel owner/s) - with very good food (and beer). Few shops just next door, also another restaurant. Staff very friendly. Good breakfast. Good price.

One thing for me was unsatisfactorily - dark room, lights was very week - more power bulbs are necessary.

Room was spacious and realy clean. I was able to leave my luggage at the reception as I arrived early. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was of a continental type, very rich and coffe was good. Hotel is situated only 2 min from the main train station.

My room had a window oriented into the inner space which was filled with airconditioning and simillar staff. So, not a nice view. I prefer a hard matress and this one was very soft (but that is of personal preference).

Location suited us perfectly as we arrived in Ghent by train and the hotel was just across from the railway station. There was a great variety of restaurants within walking distance and the food available in the Hotel Castel was excellent. The Station was also a depot for all buses and trams and there was a taxi rank at the same location. We purchased a 3 day ticket 15 Euro each ,at the Information Office there ; which meant we were able to take trams or buses everywhere. this made it so convenient and cheap to explore the City.

Unfortunately the weather was poor.

Friendly staff. Great to have a restaurant on site and the nepalese food was lovely.. Coffee, tea and a jug provided in the room. A shutter to reduce street noise was great. Fantastic location for the train. The reception staff kindly informed me that the larger room I'd booked was above the restaurant area but a bachelors party was staying so might be noisy. We were then offered a smaller double room in the adjacent building.

Needed to still manage bags up stairs as lift only to certain levels. No air-conditioning, so room a little stuffy. The owners have provided a screen so can open the windows.

This place has amazing personnel that check in u fast, greet u during the breakfast and prepare u a delicious omlett. Additionally, I would like to mention that I asked to prepare me a take away breakfast bc I had to leave at 6 am next morning. Picture of the take away breakfast is added, they left it in my room. Excellent service. Thank you) The room was clean and nice but it was a bit cold and I didn't have slippers. Breakfast starts at 7:30. They serve tea, coffee, salami, cheese, bread, pastries, boiled eggs, fried eggs, butter, jams, fruits etc. Everyday the room was cleaned and they also give a new bottle of water and things for the shower. Location is decent, 30mins to the city center by walk and 2 mins to the train station. I heard noise from the street but it didn't bother me. Overall streets aren't polluted with noise in Ghent and in case of noise u can use special thing for the window (check pictures, it's a helpful thing).

It's hard to find strong minuses.

Very nice stuff who let us leave our bags early in the morning. Location at central station was perfect for us as we had a 5am shuttle to the airport. It is a 30 minutes nice walk along the canal to the center or a direct tram no. 1. Room was quite large, with a fridge, clean sheets, comfortable bed with extra blanket and pillow (just one though). It had a cattle, tea and coffee, cups and glasses. TV and wifi worked perfectly with a lot of channels in different languages, we even found a Ukrainian channel, which was nice away from home.

Everything was good 😊 I would love a smaller price, but Ghent is not a cheap city at all.

Very kind service, excellent restaurant downstairs that you can bring to the room, and overall everything was in order. Its not new but you have everything you need. I would come back again for sure.

I was given the room just above the ground floor and it was quite noisy at times. Windows are quite well insulated, but its nice to have a window open at night in the summer.
