Room was beautiful, spa was really nice and well maintained. View from the top floor bar was wonderful and the drinks and food up there pretty good. Warm welcome from the staff including a welcome drink, the scent used in the reception area was very nice. Location was super central for all of the main areas of Sofia.

Single beds were a little narrow. One member of staff on the top floor bar was really rude - her attitude was unacceptable and she made it feel like we didn't belong there. When we finally did get sat down in the bar the bar was very smokey, I understand that this is in line with local custom but for someone from the UK felt old-fashioned. Prices in the top floor bar were extortionate also.

An all around excellent hotel. From the location central to all the sights, the in-hotel bar and spa make it arguably the best in town. And they serve an amazing Shopska salad. There are 360 degree views of the city from the rooftop. Nikola, Nourhan, Todor were great in taking care of everything I needed. The ambiance of the room was super minimalist, modern and sleek. The fridge and mini bar is kept behind one of the closet doors. A small detail carefully thought out. Would highly recommend people in Sofia stay here!

Only thing that sucked was the Wi-Fi wouldn't reach my room but cellular service worked fine anyways.

Location was very central and even if on a main road the room was very quiet. Nice modern decor, big windows and funky bar on the roof with incredible view over Sofia. The breakfast was very good, everything needed there and more with lovely service. We had dinner in the restaurant attached to the lobby and the Asian fusion was delicious.

The bathroom could use a bit of an renovation, better towel rack so that the towels dry since we dont ask for new ones for environmental reasons. Also the complimentary water provided in the room came in small plastic bottles, and there are better and more sustainable ways of providing water without using so much plastic. In the evening the music in the restaurant was too loud for us, hard to have a conversation.

I liked: *The bed, it was very comfy *The view from the room and rooftop bar was excellent *The food at the rooftop bar and breakfast was very nice *The controls in the room on lighting is a nice touch *The bathroom facilities were all great *The spa, pool and hot tub were all excellent *All the staff were friendly - and although I didn't ask for my clothes to be arranged neatly on the Monday of my stay I appreciated that a member of staff gave my clothes a tidy and put on the radio for me on my return to the room as i'd come back from a busy day out *Great decor all around the hotel *Good location and close to several landmarks in Sofia

I didn't like: *The cost - the room was a bit pricey and for that price I paid there should be a bit more included in the room package, for example additional minibar access or perhaps some discount at the rooftop bar to even the price out a bit. *The steam room wasn't available on my visit, so again for the price I paid i'd expect all the spa facilities to be open and available to use.

The room door cannot be locked from inside, housekeeping enter after knocking two times, without waiting an answer The cleaning of the room was not proper They have a restaurant at the ground floor, but you can’t charge the bill at your room, but you have to pay directly, there is nowhere this information At the same time on the roof top restaurant, they look after to take reservations from outside clients and they don’t keep space for residents

Wow - what an amazing hotel! Great location, 2 mins walk to the cathedral, 10 mins from the main boulevard. Room was outstanding (#411) with floor to ceiling windows, view of the cathedral and spacious. Breakfast on the top floor was great, only matched by the 360 views of the city. The spa facilities were wonderful, really private and clean. Staff were amazing throughout and couldn't fault it!

The rooms are expensive so what you see it what you get - treat yourself, it's worth it!

As always love staying at the Sense hotel, rooms are wonderful, and facilities are fantastic (spa and roof top bar).

while the rooms are generally great, in our room the shower screen was leaking, so quite a lot of water leaked out when having a shower, and i think this was resulting in a unpleasant odour from the grouting outside. Basically there was an unpleasant odour and we associated it with having a shower and that the shower was leaking quite badly.

Everything is indeed sensual, to every little detail. The bed is super comfy, the moving curtains allow to control light precisely, the bathroom has all bathing configurations, and more. The spa has a pool (26°), cold tub (20°), hot tub (33°), sauna, wet sauna, showers, gym, and treatment facilities. Breakfast is rich and tasty. You can ask for an omelette, pancakes with chocolate, and possibly other custom options. The staff is very attentive and friendly. If you want to visit the rooftop bar, book about a week before, it is very busy. There is a dress code of closed shoes. The bar serves food, we took baked camembert and pate, it was ok, not more. There was an awesome love DJ, and the view was spectacular. Be aware this is a smoking bar.

The hotel and the stay overall were perfect. We had Swedish and hot stone massages. The hot stone massage was great, the Swedish mediocre.

The Sense continues to be our choice for Sofia - there is not another hotel that can match it in my opinion. Special mention to Slavka in the rooftop terrace restaurant who looked after us so well as always. It is members of staff like Slavka who make the Sense Hotel what it is. Thank you.

The member of staff at the spa stated that our two children (4 and 6) could not use the hot and cold tubs. This is incorrect but makes me wary of coming with children again. There are particular times set for children under 14 entering the spa which is understandable however further training to staff on what children are and are not allowed to do would be helpful. It may not seem like a big deal to an adult but to a four year old who has been excited about going to teh spa for weeks in advnace it does matter. Ergo it matters to their parents. No Bulgarian speaker on the front reception desk.

Really nice hotel well located in Sofia. Superb rooftop bar with really good food and cocktails but be sure to book a table to ensure a place. Good breakfast with a view and really kind chef that cook freshly made options. Our room was superb view on the cathedral through a full wall of windows.

Really sad they allow smoking in the rooftop bar or in the lower lobby restaurant area where both have people eating nearby. This is not to be expected in such quality establishment. The rooms offer a superb view but the shutter system to put the room in blackout is not really efficient as there is still enough light coming in the morning. This is minor but again for such an hotel, those details make the difference.
