The location is great. It’s a walking distance to the shopping center and restaurants. It has a parking garage for guess but with a fee. The room is big with both air condition and fireplace. A descent size bathroom with 2 sinks with mirror. The room is clean with fresh linens. I would love to stay here again if I’m coming back to banff.

It was not busy when we arrived in the hotel. We were told that the room is ready and just need inspection. We requested if we can check in a little early coz we got wet from the rain and need to change for our 5pm dinner reservation at Sky Bistro but the lady at the front desk told us that we have to wait till 4pm. So we went to dinner wet. The doorman offered us to barrow his umbrella which is nice.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Even before we departed the United States, the hotel 'concierge' swiftly and successfully booked Banff gondola tickets through Pursuit and bus transfers from/to Calgary and between Banff and Lake Louise with Brewster Express! Although the Royal Canadian Lodge was one of the hotels located furthest away from town, it was a relatively short walk there, and the shuttle stop was steps from the front door.

Although the hotel's exterior appears quaint and inviting, the inside looked tired and outdated. The room and bathroom were spacious, but the beds were lumpy.

The hotel was beautiful, our room was clean and we loved the style of the room. We walked 10 minutes to the heart of downtown Banff - a stroll that was nice because we did a lot of travelling in our car during our vacation. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful in answering our questions and giving suggestions on where to eat, the bus route to Sulphur Mountain/Gondola. The complimentary bikes was a nice touch

The view from our hotel was disappointing because we could see the neighbour's yard which was run down and unkept (not the hotels fault - I guess upgrading our room would have solved this issue). Purchasing a child seat for the bike would have been nice to ride around Banff as a family rather than one parent stay in the room while the other bikes around.

The location is a 10 min walk from the main part of town. The local bus stops just outside and across the road for return trip. The room was quite large with 2 queen beds and a 2 chairs by the window. It was comfortable, had a gas fire which would be very cosy when needed . Lovely size bathroom with seperate area for toilet and shower. The basins adjacent to that in another area you can close off. Robes were also provided which I appreciated. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable bed. Unfortunately the air conditioner was very noisy and I ended up turning it off and leaving the window open. Didn’t have breakfast but did have a meal which was very nice. The pool, spa was a nice area too but the pool was a bit on the cold side for me.

Outside my room was the pump station for the pool which was also noisy so maybe not a good room if you don’t like motor noises! I spent a lot of time researching where to stay and whilst it would have been nice to be a bit closer to shops etc, I’m very happy that I chose Royal Canadian Lodge.

I liked the location of the property. And we also enjoyed being in the deluxe junior suite.

we did not like the restaurant. I don’t think they should be serving a Buffet every morning. Especially when there is really nothing on it. It definitely was not good value for the money. They would be better to have a menu. Not everyone are big breakfast eaters, and some people would just like a continental breakfast. we stayed at the Fairfield Marriott, and they have a Buffet breakfast, which was better than this one.

Very clean room and one of the comfiest hotel beds I’ve slept on in years. Staff were helpful and polite, the concierge was especially helpful. Fantastic location, just out of town so great to have quiet from the huddle and bustle but close enough to walk in for food & drink. Spa was also great, mineral jacuzzi. Good parking underground.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is well positioned only a 8 minute walk from the town center. The spa is very good and clean, as were the rooms. The bar and staff were great and produced very tasty cocktails. I would stay here again and am loved this part of our trip. If you ski the shuttle bus is very close, 30 second walk. Adrian, Rafel and Neil were all fantastic.

The only comment would be the breakfast was not very good.

Great place to stay with the family, outside of the main drag, but close enough to walk to anything we need. The staff was very helpful, and everything was clean and comfortable. Parking was easy and convenient.

We reserved this property specifically because it had a pool, and the notice on Booking.com said that the pool renovations would be finished before we got there. But when we showed up, the pool is still closed for renovations.

Location of the hotel was good, not quite in downtown Banff, so away from any noise/congestion but close enough to be able to walk into downtown easily in about 10 or 15 minutes. The room was cozy - with a VERY comfy and high bed with comfortable pillows and bedding, a large TV & a fireplace with a timer. My favourite part of our stay was the mineral salt ( I think!) Hot tub; the ambience and design of the whole pool area, whilst small, was lovely and very relaxing. The staff were all super friendly and helpful

The parking charged at $15 a night should have been included, as ( whilst I understand it's Banff and thus prices are higher) the nightly fee + associated taxes aren't cheap.
