We recently stayed at EXchange hotel for a week, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! The hotel is in a prime location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. It’s a quick walk to major train stations, which made getting around seamless. Canada Place is walking distance, so if you plan to catch the shuttle to Capilano Bridge it’s super convenient. The area is surrounded by coffee shops, stores, bars and restaurants nearby, so finding great food was never a problem. The staff were wonderful, friendly, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The accommodations were comfortable, and the overall ambiance of the hotel made it feel like a home away from home. Would stay here again!

One minor downside was the shower. It has a half open glass shower door design which doesn’t effectively keep the water in while showering. So there’s always a puddle on the bathroom floor after.

Everything was great with the accommodation, the staff was very friendly. The room was a bit small, but the price was very good, so no issues.

The only thing that spoiled the experience was a misunderstanding with the modification of my order. I needed to leave a day earlier, and I asked at the reception if it was possible. I was told that no problem and they would not charge me for the last day, but I should write about it to Booking support. I did so, but in the end, they still took 100% of my reservation. It is not critical but a little unpleasant. Otherwise, everything is great.

Everything, first impression of the hotel was of an impressive tastefully renovated modern hotel which was spotlessly clean. All staff were immaculately presented and went out of their way to be helpful, a special mention to Jenny the front of house supervisor who was so helpful and polite and Victoria from the front office team. We stayed in the patio suite which was amazing, we have stayed in hotels Al over the world but this suite was by far the best, the attention to detail on the room from a stylish record player, standalone bath, facilities in room and comfort of the bed, meant the experience was a great way to to end our Canada trip on a really memorable note. We will definitely be back.

Nothing at all

Amazing architecture and ultra-modern hotel. Great location for Gaston, Downtown, Yaletown and Canada Place. The staff at the door and throughput the hotel were fantastic, helpful and welcoming. Loads of advice on things to do, places to eat and some discounts. We told them it was our son’s birthday and they brought cake to the room. Hydra is great too with a happy hour well worth getting stuck into.

The shower wasn’t particularly powerful and I wasn’t keen on the sliding door on the bathroom (with no lock)

The hotel is a stone's throw away from the harbour front in the downtown area. We were very impressed with the design of the hotel - it is modern and has all the amenities you need. Plenty of space for the two of us with his & her side of storage space. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Due to the location of hotel, you only get a view of the office building across the road even if you are higher up. Those are unoccupied over the holiday period so it sill felt very private for us. Water pressure of the shower could do with some improvement.

Recommended by a friend. Stayed here before embarking on a cruise. There are other hotels closer to the cruise terminal; however, this was a better central location to what we were looking for: fairly close to Waterfront train station and secured building; not right by busy terminal area. Downhill 3+ block walk to cruise terminal was fairly easy. Very courteous and professional employees! I'm looking for excuses to travel back to Vancouver to stay there again!

The room was a *little* tight to move around in for us (two queen beds, two travelers, each with 3+ pieces of luggage) and a baby crib in the corner. Very small negative compared to the overall quality of the room and our experience.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and the advanced technology was a nice touch. The heated floors were especially cozy, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The location was also perfect, close to attractions like the aquarium and the Cirque du Soleil show, making it easy to explore the city.

A slightly larger refrigerator would have been convenient for storing additional items. While we appreciated the building’s LEED design, having more direct control over the room’s heating, without needing to contact the front desk, would have enhanced our comfort.

It was excellent value for money in a very central location within a short walk to the waterfront and skytrain station. Facilities were great, and Customer Service was outstanding! Room was as per website photo and suitable for our family of 3 using sofa bed. :)

Being in the downtown area, there was some traffic noise, but less than I expected. Definitely, not enough to interrupt a good night sleep! The hotel is rated for excellent energy efficiency, which made the LED lighting in the room a bit dimmer than what we are used to. Bedside and bathroom lighting were very good.

EXchange Hotel is well located, with welcoming staff members and classy decor for a fantastic stay in Vancouver. The room was very comfortable despite the strange shape.

The room I was in was the corner room (I think?) which meant there is a long hallway that leads to the bed. This is not necessary a bad thing since you dont hear the noise from the hallway with this configuration but it does have a few tight corners which made storing big suitcases more difficult. The road noise can also be a bit much but given the glass is already double-glazed there really isnt anything else that can be done.

The hotel is situated in a good spot near many of Vancouver's main attractions. It allows easy access to public transportation and is within walking distance of everything a tourist would need while in Vancouver. The beds and pillows (very important!) were very comfortable and the staff was nice. Plus, the room facilities were very good (steam iron, coffee/tea, etc).

Two small grumbles: The shower area was leaky in the sense that the glass door doesn't cover the entire area, so water leaked all over the bathroom floor, which meant having to mop up every time. And there was light leakage from the curtains, at the side. This probably will only bother light sleepers though.
