Beautiful hotel with modern and historical touches. Offered an upgrade for a fair price.

Outside the hotels control, however, we were aggressively pushed and followed by a homeless man outside the hotel. Staff were helpful in locking the door. High numbers of drug use and homelessness in the hotel area.

Second time at Victorian Hotel only means we really liked staying at the hotel when in Vancouver. I give praises to the housekeeping staffs, they really work hard to make the hotel very clean. Front desk personnel are very attentive as well. Near places we wanted to visit, close to gastown and other places to visit. Little sketchy in late afternoon -block away from hotel but homeless don’t mind you. I would stay here again, hopefully next time they will attached a lift/ elevator to the building so that people with some difficulty walking up the stairs to the third floor won’t be hard on them. Loved the nespresso coffee machine in the room and the white bathrobes, it would also be nice to add slippers for guests to wear since we have to walk to the shared bathrooms👌

Maybe pls add some hooks inside closet to hang towels after use...something similar to the hooks inside the bathroom By the way - had no problem with shared bathroom- it was always clean - there were 3 newly renovated modern bathrooms on same floor for guests to use anytime.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Characterful hotel with clean rooms and excellently maintained shared bathroom system. The hotel was conveniently located near pubs, restaurants, and public transport hubs. I had posted several packages in advance of my stay and the front desk had kindly assembled and kept these for me so that they were awaiting my arrival.

The main shortcoming was the lack of a desk in the bedroom. This is particularly annoying for business travellers who need to work in their rooms. Although space is limited, even a small desk and chair would have been most welcome. The hotel is unfortunately located on the opposite side of the Salvation Army building. There is nothing it can do about this, but it does mean that the nearby streets are frequented by drug addicts and other vulnerable people, although I encountered no hostility from them.

The room was perfect. The employees were great. There wasn’t anything more they could have done to make our stay better. The parking situation was totally out of their control. We liked that where we stayed was within walking distance to the revolving restaurant.

Street noise was terrible until 11:00 pm then it quieted down. Parking left much to be desired. Parking a block away was unacceptable for a senior citizen and a handicapped individual. We were finally given a parking spot on site and a employee went and retrieved our vehicle for us.

I love staying at the Victorian when attending concerts since the hotel is within walking distance of Rogers arena. The ambiance of the hotel itself is also a lot nicer than other hotels I've stayed at nearby and for a better price! This was our first time bringing a vehicle over while staying here and it was great to be able to park our car in the on site parking and have peace of mind that it would be secure overnight.

The heat had been turned up in the room so when we arrived it was very hot and took a couple of hours for the heaters to fully turn off and cool down. Would be nice to have air conditioning as we had to have the windows open a bit to sleep and the area is pretty noisy at night.

We had a lovely stay! Shared bathrooms were clean all the time and the building is renovated and well taken care of. Front desk personnel were kind and helpful with anything we needed.

Missing an ground floor entrance or elevator. There are few flights of stairs to go up to the reception ( and if you have suitcases you have to carry yourself or ask at the front desk for help lifting them up) If you are new in town, just be mindful, the hotel is near a not so good area in town, a lot of drug addicts wandering around, they are not dangerous but it isn’t pleasant to see

I absolutely loved my 4 night stay at the Victorian Hotel, it's such a beautiful building and the whole place is so stylishly decorated, and immaculately clean. I had a room with its own bathroom and it was huge and the shower was fantastic. Lovely helpful staff. I stored my bags when I arrived early in the morning. An opening window!! I really appreciate being able to get some fresh air. Little fridge and tea making in the room with plenty of milk supplied. Comfy bed and pillows. Nice arm chair to sit in. The heaters are so pretty. Location is great, easy walk to city centre, heaps of transport, Gastown nearby. After I checked out it was an easy walk with my luggage to the cruise terminal. I don't know why this hotel is listed as 3 star, I presume it's because some rooms have shared bathroom, but if you book a room with its own bathroom it's definitely a 4 star hotel.

My only criticism is that the walls are a bit thin and the door of my room while secure was gappy, so I was disturbed at night by people coming in late and talking loudly.

The property is located in the center of Vancouver, walking distance from restaurants and the waterfront. The room was very comfortable and had a great bathroom and shower. The staff was super nice and available to suggest restaurants and activities. The parking is right inside the building and we were also allowed to keep the car inside past checkout time. The hotel is located in a historic building and a stop for tours!

The room was located on the first floor close to the corner with the main street so you could hear some traffic as the windows were not very soundproof

Beautiful older building and great location for getting both to Gastown and to Canada Place in just a few minutes, and I was able to walk to Stanley Park in about 20-25 minutes. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The private bath was fine and the shower was excellent.

The room was tiny - smaller than my interior stateroom on my cruise ship, and there was no chair to sit on. Places to put clothing other than your suitcase were almost non-existent. To be fair, though, the hotel’s website said many of the rooms were small, and the age of the building suggested small rooms anyway.

The room and location were great. The staff were so helpful - I arrived early and my bags were stored without any problem and the receptionist took the time to sit down with me and mark out places to visit on a map. I was a little worried about the shared bathroom as a solo female traveller but there were multiple bathrooms available and there were no issues

The room was quite warm so I needed the AC unit on in order to keep the room reasonably cool. The AC unit was quite noisy so I did end up getting out of bed a couple of times to turn it on and off
