The location was perfect if you want to walk through Stanley Park, the beaches or the West End. Denman St is only 2 blocks away with a large selection of cafes and bistros plus a liquor store and grocery store. The park like gardens surrounding the block made it feel like you were in Central Park! The apartment was very large and had a PROPER kitchen, such a delight! Unlike travel in Europe where you have to find laundromats within walking distance, Rosellen had a fantastic laundry room at a very reasonable cost.

There was absolutely nothing to fault. Was no surprise to speak to several other travellers who stated that they have come back to Rosellen over the years because it is so homely and comfortable.

The suites felt more like a condominium than a hotel - I definitely got the feeling of living like a local! The neighborhood of West End right next to Stanley Park is unparalleled in safety and convenience. And the mahogany furniture in the living room was nothing short of luxurious. The staff was friendly, the elevator vintage, and the office had an outstanding espresso machine!

The only (small) drawback was that, what with the old-fashioned central heating, I could not turn the heat up as much as I wanted to - but in the end I was not cold. Maybe I did not need that level of heat after all. :)

Located close to Stanley Park which is great for walking and cycling. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. Kitchen had all the basic requirements. Great supply of fresh towels and bathroom repairs dealt with quickly. Staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

The bedroom was a tight fit for the bed, might be better rotated 90 degrees. Headboard was loose and rattled if someone turned over - solved this by stuffing a blanket around it. We were worried it might be damaging the wall. The shower valve could do with replacing as some water continued to flow into the bath, reducing shower pressure.

My friend and I were ungraded to a two bedroom apartment which was extremely comfortable. The rooms were large, very clean and comfortable. While the furniture and full kitchen were older, they were more than adequate and serviceable. The location was quiet and within walking distance to Stanley Park and grocery stores.

Perhaps the elevator which was being restored and out of action during a power outage was a little difficult for people with mobility issues however this was beyond the staff's ability to change and was communicated very well. It is difficult to find something which could be improved as some apartments were in the process of being upgraded.

We were at a very central location and within an easy walk of Stanley Park, where we made several visits on foot and by car, including the Aquarium. The main downtown area was easy to reach from this location, and we enjoyed several trips to the sites there, including the Art Gallery and Gastown. On a very sunny day, this hotel allowed easy access to the sea and sky highway to Squamish, where we enjoyed Shannon Falls and the Gondola lift.

As we travelled in the off-season, several renovation projects were ongoing, and the electricity was off for six or seven hours because the local Hydro company was making extensions just outside the hotel. We were off-site for the electrical work, so it did not inconvenience us.

Located in quiet, safe and peaceful location just near Stanley Park. Easy access to shops and grocery store. Room to spread out with separate living area. 2 tvs. Kitchen. Plenty of towels provided. Welcome basket. Friendly staff.

We stayed 2 times at this property. One room we stayed in was a little ‘tired’ in terms of furnishings, but was nevertheless quite comfortable. One bathroom had a wobbly wash basin that needed fixing. Bathrooms were small but serviceable.

Brilliant location in a quiet street about three blocks from a vibrant restaurant and Cafe precinct and right on the edge of great walking and cycle tracks in Stanley Park. Ideal location to hire bikes or e-bikes for the iconic ride around the park. Large, clean room. The manager was extremely helpful and polite, even extending our stay free of charge until we left for a late evening flight. Couldn't ask for more.

The room we had was old and starting to show its age with some maintenance issues. Some renovated units are available.

We have stayed at the Rosellen Suites before and find the staff and location excellent. We bring our dog and love that Stanley Park is only 1/2 a block away and there is an off-leash area in the park that is not very far. We also really enjoy wandering along nearby Denman with all the different small shops and restaurants. Our one bedroom suite was very comfortable but with a bit of wear. Very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed although that wasn't much since there were so many good restaurants on Denman.

Parking in the area is challenging. We paid the extra fee to park at the Suites but that extra fee does add up.

It was in a very good location, close to restaurants, convenience stores, and Stanley Park. The area was also pretty quiet, almost suburb-like. The property was perfect for four adults and a child. Kudos to the manager, Tag, who has been very reaponsive. He took the initiative to contact us prior to our arrival to make sure we have access as we arrived in the middle of the night.

The property was dated. An upgrade isn’t necessary - if that would keep the prices reasonable - as long as everything is in working condition like the elevator call button on the 1st floor and the keycards that never seem to work. They provided us with a code to get through the lobby which worked every time. Might I suggest they upgrade to the same technology for room access. The rooms could use some deep cleaning as the carpets were very dirty and the couches dusty. I didn’t have to inhale deeply to notice that as I started sneezing the moment I sat on it.

Location right in Stanley park in residential area. About 2 blocks from shops on Denman street, buses. Rental bikes everywhere. Could walk to English bay, Stanley park,Canada place. The office manager was very friendly and efficient. It was a pleasure to deal with him. Building is old but clean, well furnished and everything worked fine

Could be a bit noisy at night if cars went by or people walking by talking but it was generally a quiet location
