The Aava Whistler hotel is a very good hotel. However, you can expect that in luxurious Whistler. We stayed two nights with our family and rented two rooms that were next to each other at our request and had a connecting door. The sports facilities are fine, as is the hotel pool. The reception is friendly and helpful. Unlike many other Canadian hotels we have booked on this trip, the Aava Whistler hotel empties your trash daily, brings new towels and refills your coffee. The underground parking is easy accessible but expensive (22 CAD) compared to other hotels we visited. We had a perfect stay!

The rooms are a bit noisy. This is of course not due to the hotel but to the people that stayed in the room above us and who were very noisy.

The hotel is across one street to the village, and the village is nicely laid out to easily get used to where everything is. A short walk to the gondolas for both Whistler and Blackcomb and a lot of trails for walking or jogging if you're into those. Plenty of bike rentals in the area too if that's more your style. The room was clean, had everything I needed for the 6 days I stayed and the housekeeping staff tidied up the room rather than a full cleaning each day, which I prefer. The bathroom is cleaned daily and the coffee and tea was restocked as well. I kind of make the bed myself so I'm not sure if they make it or not on long stays. I booked the room from Booking.com and got the room for a very good deal, but it is well worth the regular full price, easily.

The only thing I think missing is a room microwave. Some places have big dishes and if you take it to go, just know you will have to eat it cold

SUPER CLEAN, comfy bed & pillows! No smell! Bathroom was super clean as well.. had great quality shampoo, conditioner & body soap pumps all built in, in large quantities.. which smelt & felt so nice! Loved the cabin/ cottage feel to the rooms! Had a great sleep!!! The hotel wasn’t too large and the location was great— not in a loud & noisy part of the village at all. The hot tub was a good large size & so were the pools! I really like that they had a little outside fire right next to it the pool area that you could sit by & warm up! The parking was super affordable as well! Overall.. a GREAT HOTEL!

The hot tub & pool close too early. The signs on how to enter the building (which wing) from the FRONT lobby are confusing.. the same issue arose from the underground parking! It’s hard to figure out where you are going with how small the signs are. The tv channels were also not great at all.. even for cable, it was the worst one I’ve come across.

staying at Ava came up on Booking.com on the day we were looking to stay. The price was excellent for Whistler, so staying here was a no-brainer. The facilities are quite swish, there in the village, an easy walk to everything you would need.

take note, as I didn’t remember reading it: parking is an additional $22 a night. There are parking facilities nearby and upon checking there was one that had overnight parking for $6.50, and after five out by 10 AM, which would have worked, and which we would have appreciated the front desk telling us about. no breakfast for fairly high room rates.

Staff just lacks a hospitality attitude, no kind addressing or attentiveness at all. This is not a regular hotel since you there is no bar nor restaurant nor other services. Rooms are very basic decorated and have need some "warmth". Bathroom is so small, you feel like you are on a cruise ship. We had a superior king room still bathroom was small. Paid parking 22$ p day

Location is really central. Car park was easy to access. Staff really friendly. Bed comfortable and shower good temperature and pressure. Liked that coffee was provided! Allowed to leave our bags when we went for an over night hike which was really kind.

Only thing that brought our rating down was the lack of soundproofing in the hotel. You could hear everything said in the corridor and hear people walking around upstairs quite loudly. Which means we were woken by people coming in late.

Location is great - it is a street away from the village. It takes 2-3 minutes to walk to the gondolas/ski lift. The room was very clean. I LOVE that this hotel allows dogs for a reasonable price - there are not many in Whistler and Aava is the best accommodation location/price wise. We also used the hot tub and pool, it was great. They also have a ski locker and a boot dryer in the basement which is super convenient. They all have a parking garage (for a maybe $20 per day?).

Close to the village but not directly in the village. (1 min walk). Comfy bed and pillows. Great value compared to other Whistler hotels.

Not enough robes - we asked several times and they were always unavailable or in the wash. On the 4th ask, we were told someone would bring them up to our room, which they never did. The walls are a bit thin, on our second night the men next door could be heard at midnight, talking again at 3 am and once again at 7am.

Great location, within a two minute walk of Whistler Village. The walk to the lifts was about 5 minutes, making it very convenient for our ski trip. We stayed on the top floor in the Superior King room, which I highly recommend. I saw reviews that the hotel has paper thin walls but I did not have that experience. The room was spacious and cozy. There is a pool, hot tub, and sauna on site and the front desk offers robes. If you're like me and barely in the hotel during a ski trip but want a nice stay, Aava is the spot!

The pillows and bedding were very thin.

Area under radiator was dirty and had not been cleaned thoroughly prior to our stay and during. The request re towels was to put in bath if change needed. Towels were being changed even though we didn't ask for that. Cleaners came while we were there. Could there be an option to choose or not housekeeping by leaving something on door?
