Very central and convenient location. Walk out the door and you’re near cafes, restaurants, shops. Great walking, plus the hotel is steps away from the Sherbrooke metro. Our room was a good size for 3 and clean. The bed and linens were comfortable; the twin bed for our child was very firm. The room had a kitchenette and eating area, but it’s not particularly well stocked. Our room was remarkably quiet at night, which was nice as we’d thought our windows giving on to rue St Denis may mean noise. The breakfast options were limited but the croissant and chocolatine were super fresh and yummy.

Hot water in the shower was temperamental.

Central location

Hotel does not have many amenities for the higher price, staff in general are very nice. Aldo they didn't tell me about the terrace until 4 days after I checking in (but there is no drink and/or smoke section), breakfast options are limited & one of the managers didn't provide any information when I asked about the city or where to get it (I asked politely) but on the other hand has an attitude & offered his unsolicited opinions about US citizens & US in general (not friendly). I found it weird that someone working on the service business has such untasteful manners. What's the point of visiting a new city and/or place if they don't make it appealing to first time tourists to enjoy the place, return or referred it to family or friends.

The room was clean, roomy and very pleasant. The staff were pleasant and helpful and allowed us to change rooms to one with a covered balcony on short notice. Breakfast was basic, but good. The location was exceptional, just a block from the metro, and walking distance to more than you could hope to see in one week and yet very quiet as it backs on to a gorgeous little park that has a nice place for coffee and light snacks and even some impromptu (yet very good) local music. The price was more than fair given all I have written above. I would definitely stay again.

The bed could have been a bit softer, but was fine, and probably optimal for those who like a firmer mattress. I have no doubt, had I bothered to ask, that the staff would have been accommodating on that matter as well.

My wife and I spent 10 nights here on our first trip to Montreal. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, a great place to rest and recover between outings in the city. The owner and staff were friendly and responsive whenever we had a request, day or night. The location was super convenient just a block away from the Sherbrooke metro station that puts you at key sites of interest in minutes, without the need to drive. The terrace on the rooftop is quite pleasant and has a great view of the charming park/square right across the street. You're a few minutes' walk from some of the most interesting restaurants and shops in the city. Breakfast was included: I already miss the selection of excellent freshly baked croissants (on point), St. Viateur bagels, ham, cream cheese, ham, salmon, fruits, coffee while contemplating passers by on the street. Quite a relaxing way to start your day. We're glad to have found this place, it's a great value and gladly look forward to returning in the future.

We loved everything about this place and the people who run it.

My stay was exceptional at Auberge du Carre St Louis and I even extended my trip an extra day. The reception staff treated me , not like a guest or a stranger , but like a longtime friend or even family member. They also went above and beyond to assist me when I lost my phone off of property (and located it for me!). I absolutely recommend the hotel. Central to plenty of restaurants , bars , neighborhoods/sights to be seen , shopping , and a great jazz club. I missed out on utilizing the spa facilities but each time I was in the lobby, there was someone praising the experience , or entering a session-

My company's budget failed me, so I picked Auberge du Carre St-Louis for my work stay. Aside from staying away from my colleagues, Auberge du Carre St-Louis was a great choice - the room was spacious (but not exactly as on the photo for my room booking), very clean, the multiple windows made the room well lit, the bathroom was newly updated, the decor was very stylish, the bed was amazingly comfortable, sheets quality was impressive, and the room was very quiet as I had asked. The breakfast was fine and the wifi was stable. But the best part was the location - across the street from a metro stop, around the corner from a park with cafe, in a very pretty walkable area with plenty of restaurants. Highly recommended for an extended stay!

The room was in a building a few doors down from the main hotel/lobby, just so that travelers know. No elevator where we were (again, not a problem for me, but just informing others travelers). The room was on the first floor, one window overlooking a parking lot and a dumpster. Luckily, the other window was towards a nicer building and trees.

Rooms were quiet, very clean, and staff was friendly & helpful with places to eat, sites, etc. Great location with access easy to Vieux Montreal. Breakfast was very satisfactory.

Horrible view from bedroom window. Back lot was filthy, graffiti ridden and rats visible from time to time. Back lot needs a major cleaning and esthetic over haul. My bedroom looked out over this lot. Not pleasant. It was in direct contrast to how well the rest of the hotel is maintained.

The staff ( receptionist and manager) were incredibly friendly and nice..special thanks to Carlos, a really nice gentleman who was always there to help us and give us some tips on the city.

The room was tidy each other day, which is no big deal, however, when the it was supposed to be "cleaned" , in fact they only changed the towels. The bathroom was a bit too dark with that dim light. The breakfast is quite good, just think they could vary it a little bit. We stayed 7 days there and the breakfast was invariably the same every single day.

Upon arrival we didn’t love the first room we’d been assigned for our 5 night stay and Carlos at the front desk was helpful he showed us two other rooms that were available. we decided to upgrade to room 220 and it was so worth it. He also had some terrific restaurant recommendations which we loved (Le Nil Bleu and Josephine) The bed and linens are really comfortable. The original pillows were quite large and the staff were able to change them for smaller flatter pillows after the second night. Every morning felt like it was starting off with a win as we had a cup of coffee in the small front sitting room and planned our day before we headed down to a fresh pain au chocolate/croissant breakfast. A great place to explore the Plateau neighborhood: easy walking and metro, bus access. Everyone on staff was very helpful and friendly

Would have loved an extra set of towels. The outside of the property isn’t very impressive but we loved room 220!

Perfect room with perfect location for access to everywhere, with a metro a block away. Room included a microwave, small refrigerator and a hot plate, so you can cut costs by bringing food back. Breakfast included fresh fruit (pineapple and watermelon, bananas, apples), croissants, yogurt, juice and coffee. Bagels, toast and cereal were also available. The bed was comfortable, and although the window was on the street side, it was quiet for sleeping. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Can't really think of anything.
