So, going in my expectations were very low I have to say, as it is advertised as a 1 star hotel. As you come through the main entrance, it is not very promising either, and it has 3 floors with no elevators, however, the room was substantially better than I would have expected, there was nothing wrong with it, it was clean, the staff was exceptionally friendly. It totally exceeded my expectations and I would gladly go back!

Just be aware, no elevator (it physically wouldn't fit anywhere...)

Rooms were clean and many items were offered for free at the front counter. The staff were very friendly and came to our room every day around noon to change the towels and soap. The front desk also had many free amenities that one could use such as a microwave and a hot water dispenser. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and helped us with our room even when they had to notify us on the first day that our room would have to have our locks changed on the same day. Free wifi as well.

The room was fairly small, but it was as expected so I would not count it as a bad point. Although the room has an old look to it the room is very clean upon inspection.

The Victor is a cool little no-frills hotel carved out of a block of Montreal row houses. The hotel is affordable, clean, and comfortable. The rooms are smaller, so you might not want to bring a lot of extra luggage, but each room has a flat-screen TV mounted on the wall and a desk to work at. The showers were nice and had good water pressure. The week I was there the weather was quite hot, but luckily the hotel has air-conditioned rooms. The hotel is in a great location, just a block away from the major Berri-UQAM Metro station, a mall, a park, a grocery store, hip dining spots, and is also across the street from a major bus terminal (where you will find the 747 shuttle bus to the Trudeau Airport and a taxi stand). The staff was also really nice and we were all able to communicate in broken French and English without any issues.

The location was wonderful, right by the metro and gay village. Me and two other young college aged girls stayed here and felt completely safe the whole time, the staff was incredible sweet. Everything was clean, the AC worked surprisingly well (coming from an AC spoiled American), and it was overall an incredible stay for the price.

It might be difficult to find street parking, but the staff helped us with that.

The staff are exceptional. They went the extra mile to cater to our very need.

Booking please clarify the floor level when you advertise. Thankfully the staff were kind enough to switch the room to a lower floor. Booking direclty with the hotels is a more flexible and hassle free experience. The smaller hotels seem to have better customer service than the bigger well known ones like Hilton.

Good value for money. Ideal location - short walk to the bus station for airport bus, close to Metro. My room was quiet. Wifi was good most of the time. 24 hour desk useful for late arrival.

No elevator would be a problem for some people, but actually In prefer walking up a few flights of stairs compared with hotels where you always have to wait for the lift.

The room was very clean. So clean that I felt confident walking around barefoot. They gave us fresh towels every day. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The location of the hotel was ideal and allowed for easy access around the city. The central train stop is just a block away and gives access to almost any train line in Montreal. Very nice experience and a very nice price.

Room was a little small. Bed was not very comfortable but it was ok for a short term stay. The room felt like staying at a guest room in someone's home. It was small, but had all the necessities. Not the worst thing. They gave us a physical key (rather than a keycard) - it was pretty funny but I'm not mad at that either. I think I liked everything - including the stuff I didn't like - because it added to the quirkiness and vibe of the place.

The Hotel is exactly as described. There are no facilities but the location is litereally a 2-3 minute walk from the Berri Station. The Hotel is clean, the rooms are small but totally adequate, extra towels were provided and Linda showed us exactly where we could park. They were very friendly and helpful. It's not the Ritz but we were very happy with the hotel, staff and especially the location! Plenty of restaurants and bars within a 5 min walk.

Honestly it was fine, we didn't expect 5 star - so for the money it's a great spot!

Good location, good enough facilities for the price. Was worth what I paid, for the location. Staff was good too.

Could have had more facilities in the washroom, washroom could've been a bit bigger too. Washroom didn't have a lock unfortunately.

The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfy. The owner was extremely kind and helpful and even helped me carry my suitcases up the stairs.

I know Montreal and am familiar with the area around the bus station. Some might find it a bit "rough" but it's very convenient for public transport and nothing to worry about if you're used to the big city.
