The king room with the balcony was large and comfortable, and the sitting area was great for lounging. The Italian focused food in the downstairs restaurant was tasty and a great value for the portions. An appetizer, two pasta dishes, and a bottle of wine for $60 tax and tip included. The location was excellent and walking distance to the south end of St. Denis, Latin quarter, and Mont Royal Ave in the plateau.

The heating system made the room way too warm, and we had to open the door/windows to keep it comfortable. There was an air conditioner available but we didn't use it. It is in an old converted home, so anyone with mobility issues wouldn't be able to use the main house. We didn't view the expansion portion, so it might be better to access those rooms. We chose the suite, so it was large, but wondered about the size and comfort of the "regular" rooms and if it would be as comfortable. Maybe next time we will check those out. There was a bit of a step from the door area into the room that tried me up a few times. Watch that. The bathroom needs an area to place your toiletries, but otherwise, it was good.

My room was smallish but otherwise well appointed. I appreciated the nice hot water when I had a shower. The room was mostly clean and the sheets were crisp and fresh. The hotel is close to a very funky part of town with lots of great cafes, restaurants and pubs all within walking distance. The staff was courteous and friendly.

It would have been great to have a fridge in the room. There was a strong smell of air freshener or cleaner (?) especially when I first came In the room. The view out my window was less than desirable (scrap wood and concrete); however, there was a cute, grey squirrel meandering around outside and I enjoyed watching it.:) The toilet paper dispenser was broken and it fell apart upon my first use. Otherwise, I very much enjoyed my stay!

The hotel itself was very cute! You can tell the building used to be a church and a lot of thought went into the conversion! The rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. Ours had a great street view with nice looks at some of the downtown buildings. Sammy the manager and all the staff we encountered were very lovely and accommodating and had us feeling at home right away! We will certainly be staying again in the future and would recommend to anyone looking for a more unique stay in MTL!

If you do bring a vehicle I would recommend asking ahead about the parking as they do have a few options that could suit different needs. Not really a negative as they do have parking available just worth looking into beforehand.

Very close to Park La Fontaine and is perfect for one to two people traveling on a budget. Many other three star hotels I have stayed at that are very poor, this was absolutely a nice place to stay and the front desk was very helpful and accommodating. Also, the room I stayed in had a nice kitchenette and balcony, which I don’t see even in five star hotels.

The place is a bit older and the rooms are not fancy, that is all I could say, everything else was perfectly reasonable and nice.

I booked in Hotel de Paris by recommendation of a local friend. The hotel was very cosy, and it was perfect for our trip plan and budget including breakfast. Its location is great for commuting to the city centre either by bus or underground. Overall, Hotel de Paris is good value for money.

The room was a little tight for two occupants, nonetheless was fairly good. Perhaps the receptionists could be a bit friendlier too.

We booked a room last minute and even got a bigger one at the front. Near the lobby but that didn't give any noise or problems. Great view and old cosy porch looking over Montreal. A bit busy street but does not bother once inside. Very friendly staff, a bit overworked though.

Great breakfast but the breakfast room needs a facelift to make it a breakfast room and not some shady nineties resto-dance bar or so: open the curtains and let the light come in!

Lots of positives. Check-in was fast Staff was very helpful and nice Room was clean Location wasn't bad, there is a metro station two streets away Lots of places to get food are located around the hotel You can shut off or turn on the AC at any time WiFi worked well Lots of charging stations for phone and tablet

My only negative is that the doors make a lot of noise and there was a lot of activity early in the morning, so if you wanted to sleep in, that was not possible.

The location is great, very close to the Latin Quartier, and walkable to the main attractions. Breakfast was ok with the basic options to self-service

They asked for $200 deposit and made a copy of my credit card, I asked about it, and they said it is a common procedure. The beds are old and noisy, the clean in general is just ok.

Great place! The staff is amazing and the place is very quiet. Internet is also good. It's very close to any turist attraction and close to public transport.

I think the beakfast can be improved a little, there are not too many options, so you have to be a bit creative to get a breakfast.
