The room was very clean, and the roommates were respectful. The rest of the building is clean too, but also beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing. The reception are helpful and welcoming.

The only downside might be roommates making noise when going to bed very late or waking up very early, but there's nothing that can be done about that. It's not the fault of the management, and they do try to help if you have any specific grievances.

It was clean, lots of amenities and centrally located.

The park near the area and some of the people around on the street were a little sketchy, my friend was followed by a strange man at night when I wasn’t with her. If you don’t go towards the park and stay in the lit area it’s fine. The security around the hostel also was good so when she went to the main door the man left (cameras and bright light).

Price and cool vibe

Property can be loud at times after 11pm plus the location is full of homeless and drug addicts. But it’s close to berri uqam and pretty much on Sainte Catherine.

The rooms really exceeded our expectations and were a lot more comfortable and spacious than we thought they would be. The hostel organizes many activities such as walking tours and events at the bar, and during our stay there was even a NYE party happening. But also, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great, being around 5 minutes from the subway station and 15 minutes from Old Montreal. It's a superb value for money for couples, solo travelers and even groups, considering you can book a whole apartment.

The shower in our room ran very weakly, with a slow flow of water. The streets close to the hostel had quite a few hobos/drug addicts, so when walking around we had to keep on our toes. But at no point we felt unsafe, as they were just minding their own business. However, everything was amazing and I needed to nitpick to mention negative points. These didn't detract from our experience in the slightest and were the only negatives I could think of.

The hotel was very clean, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful — quick to address questions and resolve an outlet issue. The location was perfect for where I needed to go. Despite being a hostel, it was surprisingly quiet and comfortable; our private room with king beds exceeded expectations. Parking is limited, but if you can secure a spot — especially the EV charging spot — it’s very convenient. While on-site food options were available, they were pricey and basic. Overall, I’d highly recommend staying here.

The floors in the room were cold and uncarpeted, so I’d recommend bringing slippers. The room didn’t have a hair dryer, and borrowing one required surrendering my ID at the front desk — an odd policy, especially for private rooms. While these quirks are more understandable for dorm-style hostel accommodations, they felt out of place in the private hotel-like setup. I’d bring my own hair dryer next time, but I’d still stay here again despite these minor inconveniences.

- Clean, modern facilities, a kitchen in the 12-beds female dorm, good mattress - I was in room 320 and it was very quiet. You don’t hear the noise of Berri-UQAM. - You can leave your luggages after the check out in a storage room that is locked (price included in the cost of the room - no extra).

- A bit pricey but the hostel is worth it. It compensates with the fact that M Montréal knows to stand out to offer a great service. - I personally don’t like the area Berri-UQAM but that’s not the hostel’s fault. Despite it, you can’t be more central in Montreal (3 lines of metro at Berri UQAM). - No pressure for the water, cold water for 3 min before getting hot water from the shower (room 320).

The location is good because it is in a sort of central area of the city. There is a major metro station close to the hostel. Bus stop to the aiport is a block away. On walking distance there are nice restaurants. Tourist attractions are not faraway. The Hostel is confortable and clean. Attendants were really helpful. Anai, one of the attendants, was wonderful. She was really nice. She gave me lots of information on where and how to go, restaurants, transportation, etc.

The main street nearby has a good number of homeless and drug addicts and that did not look very nice (Though, they didn't pose any threat). I stayed in two different bedrooms. The first one was perfect but the window of the second one was locked (consequently, it had a bit of a stale air).

The beds themselves - nice amount of space to store your things and lots of privacy. A lot of amenities - the shared kitchen and different rooms were great Other guests were respectful of noise levels My first experience in a shared hostel room and a very positive one at that. Felt like a nice japanese capsule hotel.

At first I was given a room for which there were no available beds; this was a bit of a hassle to go all the way back down to the reception (in another building) and to take time to get reassigned to a new room. The new room was great in that it was less busy and I had much more choice in terms of beds. Something funny happened with my reservation where it was never shown that I had checked in, and Booking.com marked me as a no show. Not sure what happened but I think the staff corrected it after I checked out.

Room was excellent and clean. The roof terrace was nice. The staff were nice and polite and helpful.

Although it clearly say no noise after 11pm people were making noise up to early morning. The food court was cash only and tell you so after you order. In this day and age, cash only does not cut it. One of the Jacuzzi on the terrace was not providing jets and nobody could figure out how it was working. It took so long for the check in that the limited parking place they have was full, they gave the last place to the guy taking for ever in front of us in the other lane. We had to park 10 min away from the Hostel, at night....

Think it's a terrific hostel and very accommodating. Friendly staff, fellow customers, location isn't optimal yet never felt threatened by the neighborhood. For the price and inflation it's a good deal. Was not aware of needing to bring my own lock, if it's mentioned in the website I never noticed. Naturally there are little things that could be improved as an example. Making sure the shared bathroom door doesn't squeak when opening/closing. Not a big deal in general but when you are sharing a dorm with 5 others...... Did not stay long enough and had not the time to explore much but I was satisfied in general. The only other issue I wasn't entirely satisfied with was the bed. Adequate but could be improved. Very little room to manoeuvre and could benefit from more shelf space or cubby holes? Understanibly these are accommodations designed for young people of average size but I somehow expected something a bit more comfortable. Not a complaint more of an observation. In general I was satisfied with my stay and would definitely book again if necessary. Thank you!

The bed as mentioned above. Staying 1 night does not give one enough time to make keener observations. Felt a personal space for valuables should have it's own lock without having to buy one. About all.
