Although the immediate area around the hotel wasn't very exciting (a lot of places were closed and a lot of homelessness in the immediate area), just a couple blocks away there were some amazing restaurants/bars, and also the metro was only a block and a half away which connected to 3 of the 4 lines. I recommend buying a pass for the metro. You can get anywhere easily and quickly.

There's no breakfast in the immediate area but that was fine. The rooms were cute but SO hot!!! We turned off the heat, had a window open and it was still very hot!!! I don't think there's AC so I couldn't imagine it in the summer!

The hotel is a good value for location. Walkable to the old port, Chinatown, and the shopping strip downtown. The sheets and bed were very clean and comfortable. The vending and ice machine, microwave, water dispenser, and coffee machine are on the main floor lounge. There is a 15-minute parking space in front of the hotel entrance for check-in. Parking was around the corner, CAD14 a day. On weekends, you have pedestrian access through the car ramp Use the same card at the terminal in front of the gate that you used when entering the garage.

Facilities are a bit dated. The hair dryer did not work.

Good comfortable room with a really comfy bed. Location is good and near transit. Price was a good value.

Room was a little small and it's kind of an older and smaller hotel. The vending machine was also in need of a refill.

The room and common areas are very clean and tidy. The king room is large and clean. There is A/C, a mini-fridge and a coffeemaker with coffee in the room. It's perfectly located for my outings.

The bathtub has a weird concave shape that makes it uncomfortable to stand in the shower, the water pressure is weak at times and the water temperature changes suddenly once or twice. The maids didn't replace all the towels one night and I had to ask for extras at reception. The reception is not always staffed, even sometimes late at night with the front door unlocked, which I think is unsafe in that part of the city.

The hotel is centrally located. The staff is friendly and I was able to check in at half past 10, which was amazing. There were mugs glasses and a coffee maschine in the room. Everything was super clean.

Sometimes the shower pressure would fluctuate between okay and very low and the temperature would change from warm to cold as well. My fridge made noises that felt like having a tinnitus - I solved this issue by setting the temperature to very cold when I left my room so that I could turn it up again once I got back in order for the fridge not to turn on for the next couple of hours. You can also hear other hotel guest when they walk past your room (I have experienced way worse though).

I enjoyed that there was a lot of room in the hotel room, it didn't feel tight. I was thankful there was no evidence of bed bugs in the room given the recent travel stories that have been in the news about international travel. I enjoyed it's proximity to the Berri-UQAM metro station. It was pretty clean inside the hotel and room. I also felt pretty safe in the room/hotel.

I wish there was some hand sanitizer in the rooms, or anti bacterial hand soap. There was only facial soap. There was a couple times that our keys didn't work and the door lit up yellow. This was not an easy fix but thankfully we had three keys so one of them usually worked.

Great location...Great staff...very easy to get to if you're unfamiliar with the city. Parking is not a problem with an underground parking lot around the corner (used by university students &staff..I visited on a weekend). Room big! Bed comfy! Perfect!

No dislikes.. However...if you do park in the garage.. the easiest way to "access" your car ON WEEKENDS is to walk to the main garage door and it will trip the door opener. It took me 40 mins to find access to the parking lot. All main doors were locked. Had to walk thru a closed campus. This was not a big deal- but cld be if you have a family or anyone in tow

Comfortable and very clean. Nice sized room in an excellent location, in walking distance to st Denis bars and restos, old Montreal, Chinatown. It's also just steps away from Berri UQAM. You really can't find a better more central location in Montreal than this place.

Parking situation is a bit confusing as the pedestrian access is locked during the weekend (it is the UQAM parking garage) so you have to access through the car ramp, but it wasn't too clear. The hotel is very old and doesn't have any sound proofing so you can hear everything your neighbours are saying/other rooms tvs, so being a deep sleeper or having some earplugs may help. It's still excellent value and who goes to downtown Montreal to get a good night's sleep anyway?

Truth be told, I've stayed at the hotel before and picked it again for its location. It is right by a major Metro stop, and within walking distance to the Village and Old Montreal. The Metro will get you to just about every other destination you desire. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are kept spotless. The WiFi is solid.

Well, perhaps due to the pandemic, a lot of cosmetics need attention. The desk and floors are a little worn, and the desk chair desperately needs recovering. There is a Keurig maker but you have to go buy your own kcups; the goods provided in the common area are limited. These shortcomings are not serious, of course, and the pluses outweigh the minuses. It's doubtful you came to Montreal to stay in a hotel room.

St Denis St is a lively part of town with a lot of historical buildings to see in the immediate area. It has access to vieux port and the city, and à lot of métro stations without being in the midst of everything. It was quite quiet. Really great location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the space had a lot of room and a desk. Cable TV was basic as were amenities... As it says on the tin but there is access to a lot of great restaurants etc up the road.

Shower was inconsistent, wifi cut out a few times on me but in fairness I was up at jetlag hours. Would have liked some basic cutlery to be in the house rather than just the coffee machine and the fridge.
