We had wrongly clicked on booking for the room without breakfast and not with breakfast, and the price difference was only 1 euro per night. The hotel let us cancel for free and rebook so we'd have the breakfast included in our room rate. Karen, working at the check-in was very helpful and spoke great English (otherwise it would have been impossible). The atmosphere and odor in the hotel is very nice; the view from the rooftop and punch bar are great and the staff is incredible and speaks a very good level of English. We also got a free upgrade of room which was highly appreciated. The breakfast was extraordinary, the cold food is buffet and the warm food is a la carte - so warm and fresh. Just splendid with excellent fresh juice and very nice coffee. 100000% when in Shanghai will stay here again.
The pool table was tilted, hahaha but once you know it it brings an additional dimension to your game ;-) So actually - nothing at all; it was perfect!

breakfast/restaurant is perfect with good staffs like the bar on the rooftop nice view from the bar
firstly, hard to find the hotel, especailly travel by car, have to take suitcases and walk to the hotel; 2nd, already advised the hotel the arrival time, but room was not ready yet (no early check-in requested) thirdly, i dont like the attitude of the staffs, called the room service as there was no slippers and short of other stuffs as well, then got chanllenged and questioned, just so embrassing and not professional. last but not least, room cleanness can be better, simply no cleaning before serving customers, quite a few dusts, just so close to the bed and areas where you sleep and breathe.

Beautiful property in an excellent location just minutes away from The Bund. Everything about The Shanghai EDITION was impeccable — service was great start to finish, with the manager being on the ground, to attentive staff all round; decor was also tasteful and amenities aplenty. I am already planning my next visit!

Good location, friendly and helpful staff who manage to speak English and communicate. Room is clean and nice. Have a Superb stay! Love it so much.
The breakfast is kinda disappointed. The sourdough are dry and coffee is not good. Rooms to improve for the western food. Chinese food is great tho.

It is better than I expected! Especially the scent that is used in this hotel. I was very impressed with this hotel and will be back there again when I have a trip to Shang Hai. All service is exceptional! They help me a lot during this trip.

The restaurants were AMAZING I tried all three!!
I didn't like the bar, the drinks were not as good as I expect, I had to wait for an espresso martini as they needed the coffee from somewhere else, yet after the wait it was BAD!!

Eager staff in street grabbed our luggage from the taxi. Was absolutely great but for a few minutes I wasn’t sure what was happening and thought we might have been robbed. ID badges would have helped.
