Beautiful location very tropical with beautiful landscaping and view of the volcano . We had 2 rooms reserved but due to a family emergency we only needed one room but since we could not get a rebate for the second room that we already paid for the manager agreed to upgrade our one room to a suite and it was much appreciated.

There were a lot of people using the property for the hot springs, it looked like many bus loads of people came in for the day and it a kind of seemed like a theme park atmosphere.

The rooms are slightly outdated, and the scenery from the room didn't meet my expectations. With some room improvements, Baldy Hot Springs has the potential to enhance the overall guest experience.

Lovely property and great facilities on site. Although it was high season, the hot springs were relatively quiet and relaxing. There were lots of different pools to use (plus super speedy water slides in one of the areas to keep us entertained). We were slightly worried about eating there due to some previous reviews, but I had the caramelised onion pizza for dinner and it was delicious. There was a great choice of food for the breakfast included and it was also very nice. Was a great stay for a night to make the most of the springs and we were allowed to use the facilities all day on the days we checked in/out.

They are too fresh and charge for everything! water and even a simple cappuccino in the breakfast buffet. Breakfast buffet lacked adult cereals only kids cereals. Not even simple Oatmeal, when asked they say no they have none. No alternatives for milk, had to ask for soya but only had almond milk. Dinner Buffet not great for the cost. Getting thru their phones is almost impossible.

We love the location, as usual. We love the different options of heat and the tranquility of the whole resort. It's really easy to forget that anywhere else exists, beyond the calmness and soothing sounds, surrounding the place. My daughters and I, had massages at the Spa. It was the best massage ever. 10/10 would recommend.

The food is very bland. We stayed there for 4 days and the buffet hardly changed. Both breakfast and lunch buffet. The pillows in the rooms, could use an upgrade.

The property was amazing! the setting is spectacular! As we drove up to the hotel we were greeted with a smile and friendly hello!The young man at the front desk was so welcoming and gave us all the info needed for our stay, very friendly. The food at the restaurant was very good. The hot springs were incredible! This hotel is a must see when visiting La Fortuna!

Good location and fun hot pools which were well maintained. Tico breakfast items were educational as to the local fare.

Restaurant food quality was variable with poor prosciutto and sauce for the Fettuccini Alfredo pasta. There are a number of good dining spots in the area besides the house restaurant. Try Que Rico a mile up hill. Water from the tap is a little sulfurous, not surprising on the flank of a volcano.

The junior sweets were spectacular. I loved the private outdoor sitting area and that is was so close to the hot pools. The normal rooms were still nice with an obstructed view of Arenal.

Beds in the Junior suites were less comfortable then the normal rooms. The mini fridge was crammed full of pay for stuff that I had to remove to put the drinks I brought in. It would be nice if they had some luggage stands so i didn't have to dig around on the floor in my bag.

Spectacular complex of 25 thermal pools, ranging from hot tub to large pools and others with swim-up bars, all set in lush jungle. Genuine ’wow factor’. Excellent and fairly priced spa. good security for general access and for car park

Hotel rooms were very comfortable but a bit tired, not quite 5 star as claimed. Well run bars, but quite expensive
