Thé location was great - easy to get to the AirPort Express and 10 min walk to the Old Town. Breakfast was good, lots of choice of food, changing every day, great choice of juices. We love the Ukrainian cake Napoleon. Reception staff was helpful, not straight away, after a while. We arrived around 11:00 am and we met Violeta at the reception - first she was not very approchable, said she doesn’t have rooms ready and check in is after 3 pm, not earlier. I mentioned to her that I’ve chosen the hotel to celebrate my birthday. But after 10 minutes she came to us and said that as it is my birthday they managed to find a room ready for us and she upgraded us and we can have a room with bath tub and a table. The room was ready and we checked in straight away. That was very nice touch from Violeta. The best girl who worked at the reception was Anna, she was kind to us every time and helped a lot my boyfriend with preparation and organization of my birthday. Anna provided a really great customer service.

Cleaning the room. We stayed 5 nights and no one changed the linen, usually it supposed to be after 3 nights. First night we put DND sign, as we didn’t want our room to be cleaned, the next day we removed the sign and ask at the reception to clean the room- the housekeeping just changed the towels and took the garbage away, but did not vacuum the carpet. Third day was the same, on the forth and fifth day our room was not served at all. For the breakfast - too many salades with mayonnaise, no fried eggs and omelettes at all. The last day - the coffee machine was broken , no one can fix it unfortunately, we ended up buying coffee outside.

Management excellent, as was the breakfast, scrambled egg on toast. Museli local deli, fruits and melt in the mouth pastries. Comfy bed. T V extremely clear HD. Great Wi-Fi. The breakfast room is in the old bank vault, basement level -2, and has been tastefully renovated and is extremely quirky. Local tram stop just around the corner, and a Lidl supermarket is a 500m.

Unfortunately no USB points in our room. Czech Republic sockets have an offset earth pin so most adaptors won't fit. Managed to borrow a USB adaptor from reception, but no power. adaptors. Had to buy from local Mini market with a Chinese owner, who 'ripped me off' charging 150kr, for a cheap imported product. Then checked another similar shop with Indian proprietor who would've charged 65kr. Very powerful bedroom central light. Room could've had a picture or art piece on the wall.

The area is very convenient, you have the central train station and the Airport Express bus less than 10 minutes away from the hotel. You have all kinds of cafés, restaurants and supermarkets nearby, as well as tram. The room had great lighting, tall ceilings and carpets, a kettle with cups and some tea/coffee, a mini fridge, a pretty big TV (couldn’t get to log in into Netflix though, YT runs fine) and a very spacious wardrobe. You are given the option to choose cleaning days upon check-in on reception. The receptionists are all very kind.

Everything was fine, except for the cleaning service the first cleaning day as the bag with trash wasn’t taken out and was left for an extra day.

The hotel room was beautiful and very clean. Location was excellent - walking distance to everything we wanted to see and including the train station. We quite enjoyed breakfast which had a wide variety of food to choose from, and the coffee machine made very nice hot chocolates.

We were only provided one toilet roll, and when we requested another we were told it would be sent up to our room. After waiting over an hour we asked the cleaning staff who were outside our room, expecting to be given one straight away. After agreeing, they then walked away from our room. We were never given the second roll. Seems a bit of a trivial complaint but for what was a simple request it was disappointing how it was handled.

The hotel design and architecture is stunning! It’s a really beautiful building and it feels stylish and modern. Staff were friendly at reception and cleaning staff say hello. The standard double room I stayed in was really nice, a little on the small side if there were two people staying for floor space (but ok for one person) but a comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and excellent shower. For four nights, I paid £63 a night without breakfast Inc - so for quality of hotel, it’s a v good price. The hotel was exceptionally clean, throughout. Just a 10 min walk to the edge of the Old Town, less than 5 min walk to Prague main station, convenient location.

I stayed during hot weather and there is no air con in the hallways from the elevator to rooms, so they get v hot, but room air con is really good and makes the room feel really comfortable, just had to have it on the whole time in the room. The breakfast lets this place down a lot I feel. For €15, you are given the smallest plate, the hot food selection was just three choices, dodgy looking eggs, sausages and vegetables. There were other continental options, cold meats, cheeses, pastries, fruit etc.! Also, in busy periods, be prepared to queue as there’s just one line which doesn’t make sense. Also, with no air con, in the basement of the hotel (which was previously the Bank’s vault) it gets warm. But the design of the space is really nice.

Many thanks to the staff and owner of the hotel! My husband and I had a wonderful vacation. Excellent breakfasts, very convenient location (very close to the city center and train station), responsible and friendly reception staff. Upon arrival, our room was upgraded and it was a very pleasant surprise. We booked a standard room, which usually does not have a table (we noticed this later). The new room came with a desk, which was very nice because my husband needed to work periodically. Once again many thanks to all the hotel staff The Gold Bank.

Liked everything.

The location was great. We came on by train later at night, I wanted to be close to the Prague main train station, they are just a short walk from there. Despite of the room was tiny on the top floor with only the skyline, we felt very cozy and relaxed. Prague is not a big city, it's walkable to the old town and the other side of the river where the castle is.

I wish there were more hooks or something to dry towels. There were only 2 hooks in the bathroom. 2 ppl, using multiple towels, and we needed more than 2 hooks to keep the towels dry.

Everything. Great lobby, lift access, stylish interior, helpful staff, plush carpet in rooms, safe, fridge, large bathroom, king bed with amazing huge pillows and linen. Huge wardrobe to fit everything in and enough room to store our empty luggage at the bottom. Watching and listening to the birds out the window was lovely in the mornings. If you don't mind a short walk, old town is a mer 10-15min stroll straight down the road, which you can marvel at the facades along the way. The staff were very helpful and professional.

The bathroom has an ongoing issue mentioned in other reviews; a leaking shower. We solved it by sacrificing a hair towel. We rolled it up and laid it down in front of the door inside the shower. Stopped the water getting out. Maintenance needs to reinstall the glass correctly on the low side of the tile to fix the problem. No conditioner or moisturiser was in the room but we just bought our own from the shops. Honestly best hotel of the 4 we stayed in during our European holiday.

I checked into this hotel at 2am , and despite the late hour, the staff were cheerful. The location of the hotel is conveniently situated near the main train station as well as Masaryk train station. Ideal for travelers arriving by train.

The double room was modern but on the small side I was flying solo, but I reckon it would be a squeeze for two people. The entrance door to the room had card access. But here's the kicker: once you're inside, there's no internal lock or any sort of locking mechanism from inside. This was not entirely comfortable for solo female travel.
