The room was old but very functional, with a really comfortable bed and a fabulous view of the sea. The breakfast at Trattoria is considered legendary and rightly so, with a sumptuous range of foods, perfectly seasoned and cooked. There were a few minor niggles, especially with room service, but that was mostly due to my very specific requirements. Chef Chatterjee resolved all my issues and arranged a perfect meal for me.

There is construction right outside the hotel which blockades the entrance, but that is not within the hotel's control

The staff and service was outstanding. Especially Rajshri at the all day dining restaurant and Rajnish at the reception. Great service is the strong suit of the hotel. Food was excellent at the trattoria restaurant, great breakfast spread as well as al a carte options.

The rooms thoroughly need upgrading. A lot of the fittings and finishes were extemely worn out, tiny televisions, ancient buttons and switches. Most importantly extremely uncomfortable pillows and mattresses.

Rooms are small, but it's South Mumbai.. so no complaints, and they are well provided. The bathrooms are also decent sized and functional. Given the popularity of the hotel and number of rooms, the breakfast area ought to be increased... it's a little noisy and crowded at the moment. The choice in the breakfast is good. A very special mention for Manager Asif and Chef Vikas at Konkan Cafe for curating our meals and going above and beyond expectation. Our guests were very pleased and overall full marks to this team. I am grateful for their support and flexibility in accommodating requests, even at the last minute.

The check-in was horrible. I had booked 3 weeks in advance, and when we arrived around midnight (two people in the team had flown in after an 18 hour flight)... we were informed that rooms were not available. It took over an hour to resolve. The staff on duty were wonderful (Prapti and Prasad worked extra hard and were very patient with me, despite my angry outburst) ... however, the person who was supposed to be "single point contact" ..and with whom I had been coordinating the entire stay and conference, was nowhere to be found, for the entire duration of my stay.

The staff courteousness was superlative. From changing my room on request (thank you Arpit & Karan) to ensuring excellent housekeeping the room experience got progressively better. The service and the food at the restaurants was excellent and a special shoutout to Shekharan, Niraj, Rajshree and Sharon at the Trattoria for their kindness and helpfulness!!

The high occupancy at the hotel lead to delays in accessing elevators and I was unable to access the spa that was fully booked - not the hotel's fault at all.

Appreciated the early check-in policy, allowing us to check in at 8 am for a reasonable fee. The breakfast was outstanding, offering a diverse and delicious spread.

Initially booked two rooms on the 9th floor, but both were dusty and dated. One room had a noticeable mold scent; however, the hotel quickly relocated us to a room on the 7th floor, which was upgraded and significantly improved. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that while booking.com advertised a free room upgrade, it’s important to note that this is entirely at the hotel’s discretion. Overall, aside from these points, I had a great stay.

The place is apparently one of the best in the city. From the moment I arrived the staff were super friendly and helpful, in every area of the business; security, baggage staff, reception, cafe, all really nice people. The venue is very beautiful, especially when dressed for Christmas, and the staff all wear beautiful uniforms. I actually got incredibly sick on my last night and I couldn't have asked for more help and support from the night receptionist - she deserves a medal as I was in tears. She called the doctor, had some meds driven over for me, had things brought to my room and when I checked out even asked if I needed her to call anyone at home because I was travelling alone and about to take a long flight. I'm sure this goes above the usual 'check out checklist'. Really comfy beds, a great shower, also and delicious food, we even had an Indian flute player for breakfast one day!

The music from the Wink bar was incredibly loud - on my first night I ate in the Trattoria and their ambience was drowned out by club beats from Wink, and my room was on the 7th floor and I could also hear it. Maybe turn it down a bit or soundproof the doorway... :)

The breakfast was very good with an excellent spread. The most remarkable feature at this property was the level of service all the staff exhibited. They were well trained, very friendly and many of them went out of their way to make my stay comfortable Two staff members who were particularly outstanding were Rajeshree and Mark among the Trattoria team, who were most attentive even during the breakfast time busy activity.

Given the traffic congestion and construction work in the direct vicinity of the premises, they could consider a shuttle service to and from the main business areas and points of interest within the downtown core.

Excellent location. Taj service levels are unbeatable. Deluxe suites were modern and well designed. Excellent room service and amenities. Bathroom products were top notch. All restaurants were 5 star… Italian, Indian and Thai. we visited each several times. In house Wink bar was also good. Daily breakfast was so good. Fresh fruit was tasty, excellent buffet selection with top quality ingredients. A la carte breakfast choices were also great. very good value for money

Wink bar had limited opening times. in house laundry was very expensive. Taj taxi to airport was also very costly compared to local cabs. they should offer free Taj membership to all guests.

The breakfast buffet was terrific, with many selections, and the restaurants were also delicious. The location was excellent and very convenient to many great parts of Mumbai. The room was gorgeous and clean, with a stunning view of the harbor. The staff and facilities were lovely.

The room was directly across from the elevator, and we might have liked a little more more privacy. The exhaust fan in our bathroom didn't work. My partner, who likes it colder when he sleeps, found the AC didn't always go down low enough. I found the bed comfortable, but the pillows were a bit too hard. However, overall it was an excellent stay.

Breakfast selection was excellent. Restaurant was comfortable. Room was comfortable but on the small side because we had to add an additional bed. We were given a sea view room which was very nice. The location of the hotel is perfect because its about 5 -10 mins drive from all the major attractions and monuments

We liked everything. Check in was straight forward and effortless all the staff were polite and helpful. Willing to help and support in anyway they can.
